A very well-organized champagne tour with a knowledgeable guide who led us through the impressive underground cellars, where the constant 12°C temperature and high humidity create the perfect conditions for aging. Walking through the long galleries was an experience in itself. We were shown the traditional method of champagne production, followed by a tasting of several different varieties. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming, making the whole visit both fascinating and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn more about champagne

We toured the caves by bicycle. What a great experience. Our English-language guide Audrey explained everything clearly and answered our questions completely. I highly recommend this tour.

We enjoyed the tour very much. Very educational, and they even offer bike tours for groups of 8 or smaller because there's so much space! I think the bike tour would be really cool to try. The tasting came out to be about 1.5 glasses. Great merchandise options. Our host Verity was very informative and handled our very large group.

Fascinating wine caves full of artistic sculptures plus a beautiful tasting room. I’m not sure the tour guide appreciated our very large group, but we thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Cool place; I was part of a group and didn't drink anything, just admired the architecture. It was diminished by the rude and impatient demeanor of the tour guide who seemed annoyed with us enjoying ourselves and not rushing along. Might I recommend some coaching on common manners to extend to people who pay for tours? I can't say I would recommend the experience, the other people I was with were put off by her attitude.

More than 5 stars. A wonderful tour on bikes with Verity, who knows exactly how much info is interesting. An outstanding guide. Also, don't miss their art gallery across the road. You need to book ahead for the bike tour.

Great fun cycling through the wine caves. Bikes are provided, but be aware not all tours are by bike, so you may want to stop by to book a day in advance. Lovely and cool when the heat outside is too much. And beautiful Chateaux style carvings in the caves. Recommended.

A really unusual, and fascinating cycle tour of the underground caves, and their history. Followed by tasting (and buying) some of the best sparkling wines in the Loire.

One of the largest and most established sparkling wine producers in the region, this company gets five stars for many reasons, but most of all for making Zéro - a sparkling wine without sugar for the crispest, best sparkling around. In addition to tastings (of many delicious offerings), they offer tours of their facility with education on how wine is made in English and French. Note that the facility you tour is not their main production facility, but you still get the idea. This is a must stop for anyone in Saumur looking to try sparkling wines!

Wine tasting in the middle of a more "industrialized" setting. There is no vineyard here. You park the car, enter the building and taste some wine Have to say I did not care for anything we tasted & I tried really hard to like their wine. Even the "famous" Gerard Depardieu wine was not to my liking. The staff didn't provide any kind of history about the grapes or region or how the wine was made - it was as if she was purely there to pour wine Mr ended up purchasing 2 bottles to give away as gifts as he felt so guilty we had tasted so many varieties.....but the tastebuds know what they know & we have tasted better
