And, the shipping guys boxed it up to perfection for its trip from Calgary to Ottawa. Arrived in time for me to customize it before a big trip I'm taking it on. Thank you Ty and staff. Bow Cycle has slowly but surely become my second home — and I’m not even mad about it. I’ve bought multiple bikes here over the years (yes, multiple — don’t judge me), and every experience has been awesome. The staff actually know what they’re talking about, whether I’m asking about the latest drivetrain or pretending I know how to pronounce “derailleur.” Service is always fast, thorough, and they treat my bikes like they’re made of gold. Respect. I also pick up parts, gear, and clothing here — they’ve got a great selection that makes it way too easy to “accidentally” buy another pair of riding shorts. And now my kids are in on it too. They’ve gotten their bikes and helmets here, and the team made them feel like tiny Tour de France pros. If you’re into cycling in Calgary, Bow Cycle is pretty much a one-stop shop. Great people, great service, and a dangerous place to enter if you weren’t planning to spend money. 10/10 would recommend (and probably will again next week when I’m back for just one more thing).

I grew up in Bowness, so Bow Cycle was always a fixture. However, I only recently became interested in cycling, specifically as a means of getting around the inner city without a car. I wandered in today on a whim, having no idea what I was looking for, and an employee named Isabelle helped me find the perfect bike for both my needs and my budget. She helped me find the right size, adjusted the seat height, and made me feel really welcome in an unfamiliar environment. I ended up buying the bike, and I'm excited to pick it up next week! 11/10 experience at Bow Cycle, thanks for helping out this cycle noob.

Just picked up a Specialized Diverge and couldn’t be happier with the experience! Logan was amazing – super knowledgeable, patient, and never pushy. He took the time to answer all my questions and let me test ride several bikes so I could really find the right fit. Great service from start to finish. Highly recommend this shop if you’re looking for a bike and a no-pressure experience.

I love the vibe at Bow Cycle sports. The staff like Harry are always super helpful and their selection is off the charts when it comes to bikes. Everything you need from your kids bikes to one for somebody older or your electric scooter style bike. They’ve got you covered. They even have rentals for you to take out for the day or for the week as well as all the accessories for your biking needs at affordable price with high-quality products. I Highly recommend. 🙌 especially after I needed some added adjustment and I met Joel one of the owners who went above and beyond even helping me to secure my spare air pump to my bike at no extra charge! As the bicycle is my main form of transportation, I thought a comprehensive bike fit would be worth it. I don’t chase performance but instead prioritize comfort and practicality. I signed up for a full Bowfit with Ryan Mountain. He reached out early to clarify that he is not a physiotherapist and is not often covered by insurance. When I arrived, he went outside for a short ride with me to diagnose my bike, fit, and posture while explaining to me a full Bowfit was not necessary for what I was looking for and the bicycle I use. He was open, curious, kind, and complementary. He brought my bike up the stairs to his fitting studio and was easy to talk to further about what was actually needed (some simple adjustments) and what was not necessary or possible given my frameset, parts, and use-case. I learned about his time in Japan and life as a dad. Ryan was having a great day and wanted to pass his good mood along to others—he sure did to me that afternoon.

Ryan Mountain was amazing! And the staff that helped me pick my new bike. Bought a new bike for 40th and even thought I’ve been cycling my entire life - this was my first professional fitting and it has and is going to change my life. They book a solid hour and go through all your muscles and muscles pertaining to cycling and make sure you are properly balanced. Everything you thought you knew about riding a bike is not what you think…. Come check out this locally owned business and don’t wait to get fitted - properly!!

I had ordered a bike thru their website, and hit a few minor hiccups and misunderstandings which initially lead to a less than stellar customer service experience. I reached out to them about this, one of the owners got back to me in a timely manner to discuss, and was really great about hearing me out and looking for a solution to move forward. I'm very happy with my new bike and would gladly recommend Bow Cycle to anyone looking for bike help. Their Bowness location is massive!! Incredible selection! Thanks very much to all who assisted me there.

WARNING: Be careful of what you are buying here. I bought a bike (over $7k) only to get home and realize there is damage to it that I didn't spot initially. When trying to register the bike the serial number didn't match with the components. Bow had no explanation and agreed to correct the issues. Then they slipped me lesser major components that that I didn't realize until several months later. Their reasoning is that the manufacturer has a clause of "PLEASE NOTE THAT, BASED ON COMPONENT AVAILABILITY AND OTHER FACTORS, SPECIFICATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE". This was for parts that are listed as "highlights" of the bike. The parts replaced are $590 less costly. To make matters worse, Bow tells me that I should take it up with the manufacturer. As the authorized reseller I would expect them to represent the manufacturer and go to bat for the customer. The problem is that they messed up the bike in the first place and pieced it back together on their own after getting caught. This was my experience. I should have listened to friends whom had talked about their bad reputation before. Mileage and frustrations may be different for you.

I rarely leave reviews just completed a bike fitting with Ryan Mountain (great name for an employee at a cycling shop). I can't recall the last time I received such remarkable service. Positive, knowledgeable, personable and undoubtedly cares. He will fit you to the closest millimeter. I cannot recommend him enough and he is a credit to Bow Cycle.

Just got back for there, what an experience !! First off yes, their closed because of the virus. So I needed some tires I called them and they said yep just come by they're in stock - can I order them? He said there is a line up and it's about 20 mins long, just come down. I get there and its huge, (sigh) fine, that's to be expected. However, the annoying part was after I got there a staff member kept coming down the line and asking if I did an on-line order - well I was going to, but your staff guy on the phone said just to show up. Then I started looking for other bits while waiting on my phone - I wanted a rack - OK, there's one for $33.99 but Nope - don't stock it. We have one for $80. OK, computers here's one for $24.99 but again Nope - don't stock it. Here's a cateye for $60. Ah, I'm sensing a trend here ....... OK my tires - I called them and ask for Specialized Crossroads 26-inch at $29.99 what did I get after waiting for an hour that same tire in a different model for $49.99 so I think the take away here is ...... If you list every possible cheaper bike part that's out there you can lure customers to your store and then after using the tried and true "bait and switch" method you can upsell them every time !! I'm done - went to a place called MEC and got all the stuff i need and a basic cateye computer for $29 bucks and the rack for $35. I can't recommend this place to anyone ...... and lastly DON'T TRUST THEIR WEBSITE !!! Cheers' Dave

Great selection of both bikes and accessories. Some great staff as well. Unfortunately I ran into a staff member that isn't someone I would ever want to deal with again. This is after purchasing some product and then we came back to buy more, when the issue arose. I put all of the product we were about to buy, back on the shelf and left. I emailed my concern to the office and have not heard back from management. Treat me fair and don't lie to me will win me over as a life long customer.

Huge selection of bicycles of all kinds. Also has a lot have accessories, and clothing for biking. The weekends that I went it was super duper busy but the staff were kind and helpful. They had forgotten to grab my bike from the warehouse, but they were quick to fix the problem and apologized.

If you're a bike enthusiast, you'll love this place! Seriously. I was totally overwhelmed by the sight and smell of all the bikes in this place. The smell was probably the best part, though. It was all rubbery and new smelling... I loved it. I went in with my boyfriend to look at BMX bikes. He was a little disappointed by the selection of BMX they had. Bow Cycle mostly specializes in regular speed bikes. They had so many different fast-moving bike, I could barely believe it. There are bikes covering the floors, as well as the wall and even ceiling. Some are pretty out there and neat, but some are regular bikes. I'm no bike expert, but some of the prices of the bikes seemed pretty reasonable. I could get a pretty girly bike for pretty cheap... maybe I should.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Mark for some repairs that my bike needed. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. The store was so busy, it was lined up down the block, but I didn't have to wait very long as the staff have a system where they come out and take care of whoever they can. They are doing a remarkable job. It was apparent that Mark was busy, in a rush, and working very hard, but he didn't rush me when it came to getting my needs met. I was very impressed with his professionalism and productivity. The company is lucky to have him and I'm sure they know that. My bike was ready for pickup earlier than expected and he called to let me know I could come pick it up if I wanted rather than just wait for me to come back the following day. The test ride was a success, the parts Mark chose for me based on our phone conversation were better than the original parts. He is very intuitive and knows how to make the customer happy. I maybe could have sourced out better prices, but then I probably wouldn't be on the road yet. The process of taking my mangled bike and getting it in better than original condition was so easy thanks to Mark. I will stay loyal to Bow Cycle and recommend them to others.

Fat bikes, skinny bikes, tall bikes, small bikes, I'm calling all bikes! The first thing to do after walking through the door is to pick your jaw off the ground. The next thing to do is to make an excited "squee!" sound as giddily hop your way through rows and rows of bikes. I think I may have actually just found the first example of real life frolicking. How does one frolic? Stick a bicycle fan in Bow Cycle and find out. With the main sales people, I've been very impressed in their ability to guide a glazed-eyed newb from the stages of "Umm, I'm looking for a bike..." through a two-wheeled cornucopia and land them at bike that suits them. Lucky for the guys at Bow, they've got a bit of inventory to work with. From camping out on the street in front of the old store back in highschool to buy a Bowness Bicycle Company Sideshow Bob, to all the part upgrades that I then destroyed with that monster, I've made a lot of purchases from here over the years. Some of the same guys have been kicking around for a long time and still seem passionate as ever to help you out. These guys really know their stuff! My conversations with the soft goods, helmets and shoe staff have been a little less than inspiring. I've been out of the game for the while and am looking to get a new kit, but I barely recognize the gear anymore. I know I like burly free ride mountain descents and bike parks, but would also like to start dabbling in actually riding up the hill to get to them. Could you please point me toward a selection of products that might fit this bill? Really no dice... That's ok with me though, I know how to use google, and for the most part these are much smaller purchase decisions than a full-on bicycle. I'm glad to see them stocking the strongest sales talent where it matters most. If you're stopping here for an inner tube or two for a ride, Bow Cycle can be a little daunting. It's kind of like stepping into one of those Mega-Wal-Marts, wondering where they keep that blue sticky tack stuff, as you navigate your way through a sea of Wal-Mart people passed canned beets section to the garden gnomes and slow cookers. HELP! Ok, step back here. Everything that happens at Bow Cycle is way, way cooler than this scenario (except maybe those spandex unitard things) but as you can see, I'm using a hyperbolic metaphor to help illustrate my point.

Best of the best! My first purchase at Bow Cycle goes back to 1998. I had moved from Edmonton where my bike shop of choice said, "The guys at Bow will take great care of you." And they have. I bought my Kona King Kikapu in 2001 from Kurt - I still ride today. I've bought our Chariot strollers and all my kid's bikes from Bow... and today was no different. Today, I brought my 9-year-old daughter in for an upgrade and without any influence from me at all, she - with the help of Liz the Great (one of the bike fitting wizards in the store) bought her very own Kona. Yes, we've been to other bike shops from one thing or another - a part, a water bottle, a chain, fix a flat tire, etc... but when it comes to buying a bike and the all the accessories, we always come back to Bow. The service for us has always been excellent. We've never felt rushed in our purchase - the staff have always been super patient. The selection is off the walls. Bikes of all kinds are everywhere. It's in Bowness. Who doesn't love to visit Bowness? We live in the deep SE so it's a bit of a drive but we just don't care. Last year I brought my 2001 Kona King Kikapu for its regular 10-year tune up and it rides like new. I'm sure the guys in the shop thought I was riding an antique LOL. My husband wanted a bike and for his birthday we went in to buy him a bike. I had not been to Bow Cycle before so this was a first visit. We had Evan who helped us. He was super patient and helpful as he got my husband kitted out with the bike and all the accessories. He had lots of good knowledge and was a super sweet sales person. I would 100% recommend Bow Cycle! Ask for Evan. :) Thank you for making my husband's birthday gift an amazing experience!!

I will not be back. The better-than-thou attitude reeks out the door here. The people on the floor don't bother to return a greeting, and certainly don't extend one. (y'know, like most humans would) I'm not what you'd call a "serious" cyclist. I am just a commuter, and I may not have the brand name kit or expensive bike. My money spends the same though. Not here. Not ever again. It's these types of people who give cyclists a bad reputation.

Bow Cycle is dead center in the middle of a very cool, eclectic part of Bowness in NW Calgary. Wherever you are in the city, it is worth the trip to check out this store! I have been there a few times. During the week it is busy, but on weekends it is nuts! Feels a bit overwhelming at first going in. 2 floors of bikes and accessories and anything you could possibly need! I wandered around for 5 minutes and I must have looked lost. Lots of sales associates there, and Brad was the one who came to my rescue! I was in the $5000 full suspension mountain bike section, and I shouldn't have been! He got me in the right section of the store and after listening to the needs and desires I had for a bike, he showed me a few. Brad was great, very informative and was in no rush to push a sale and move on to some one else. Over all the sales guys there appeared to WANT to be there, and all excellent at their jobs! Now, I should mention that until now, I have only ever had Canadian Tire bikes, so the technology in these bikes blew my mind. It turned out that the bike that was right for me was a bit out of my budget, but worth the wait. With a 25% down payment, they will gladly hold the bike on layaway so no one else grabs it up! Once I paid off my bike and got my helmet and water bottle I was off on the trails! Incredible bike. After only having the bike for a day, I did have a couple adjustments to be made. I took it in and got right into the mechanics shop and it was dealt with. There was one part in the gears to be replaced. The replacement part was priced at $130 and they just put it on no charge, no charge for labor, they just wanted my new bike to be perfect! I will be back there this week to get a bike for my girlfriend. No question I will be back there! A good bike is an investment. But the quality of the bikes, sales and service of Bow Cycle make it a no brainer! Well worth the visit!

Holy moly, does no one in this town work on Fridays anymore?? I was on the hunt for my first road bike and I decided to stop in at Bow Cycle on a Friday morning, thinking I'd have the store to myself. Oh boy, was I wrong, the store was jam packed. There is an overwhelming amount of bikes in this store! I followed the "road bike" signs to the upper level and started wandering around. Luckily a sales person rescued me almost immediately because I was looking in the men's fixed gear section, and didn't even know it. Unless you know exactly what you are looking for, you definitely need a sales person to guide you through the labyrinth. I'd been to a few other shops in town in late June, and it seemed like a lot of the smaller stores were low on stock, especially in the entry level/lower price range. Luckily Bow Cycle still had a few choices in my price range and frame size. The sales person was really knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable asking noob questions. (Me: Why don't road bikes have kick stands? Sales Guy: Um, it's dangerous.) I took a bike for a test ride around the community and ended up buying the bike that day. My bike came with unlimited adjustments in the first 6 months, and one tune-up for $10 (valued at $120) within the first year. This is the standard service package included with bikes over $700. I don't think this is the best service package out there, but it's better than nothing! My experience would have been improved if the sales person had put me on my bike and done a thorough fit analysis. Once we chose the right size frame, he only adjusted the seat and then sent me on my way. I understand that they are very busy, but I've seen other shops spend the time to do a fit analysis and I would have liked to have one at Bow Cycle too. Now that I've had the bike for a few weeks, I guess I can always go back and as for a fit adjustment to correct some of the uncomfortable spots I've noticed.

This is hands down one of the best bike shops in the city. Since I got my first bmx almost 30 years ago, I've been going to Bow Cycle. Now as a father, I take my kids there to get training wheels installed. The shop staff are knowledgeable and ready to problem solve when approached with unique issues. I have a Japanese folding bike that requires specialized care and they do so without hesitation and with much appreciation (and amusement). Bow Cycle is a Calgary staple and are in it for the long haul, not the quick buck. Go in and look at their insane selection! Then ask for help so an expert can narrow it down for you.

I am so happy this is the place I went after my horrible experience with the Bike Shop on 11th (see my previous review). I am not a hardcore cyclist. My last bike didn't even have gears. I know nothing about bikes and don't own a single item of spandex. I'm so happy none of those things mattered when I met my sales guy Leo at the store. He listened to what I was looking for and didn't judge even after I said I needed a bike that I could wear dresses in. Like I said, I'm not a "serious" cyclist at all, I'm just trying to be a little greener without compromising my clothing/lifestyle choices. Leo showed me two great options within my price area and let me test drive them both around Bowness to see what worked for me. One of the bikes they didn't have on the floor in my size so he called to the warehouse and they brought it over within minutes so I could still test it out. I was so impressed with how quickly they got it over to me, it must be a huge pain to move things between the warehouse and the store yet they were happy to do it and didn't make me feel like I was inconveniencing them at all. Leo was BEYOND patient even when my dad (who was with me for moral support after the Bike Shop incident) asked to also test the bikes - meaning Leo would have to readjust both bikes again to fit my dad. He was so knowledgeable and happy to share stories about his personal riding experiences and tips he had picked up over the years. After about 45 min I had found the bike for me and Leo helped set me up to go with the service guys. The service was great and just over an hour from when I walked in, I walked out very happy and with a new bike. My dad has been going to these guys for years and now I see why. I HIGHLY recommend Bow Cycle for any type of cycling need you have.

After putting around for about 5mins dumbfounded at the sheer size of this bike store I found sales person, Kyle T. Dude was super legit, friendly, straight forward and excited to get me mounted on a brand new bike. We looked around at a few bikes and after debating between two he let me take each of them out for a ride around the block. After about 1/2 hour I decided on a great Kona mountain bike, something I have been thinking about for a long time but never had the money. After buying it I figured oh this is going to be a day or two before it will be ready (service shop was busy)! Nope 10 min's and they had that bike on a horse, I watched the tech do a top to bottom on everything, ensuing it was good to go. They are quick on a Friday in the spring because they have so many damn sales. I will say one thing, I could see that place becoming a zoo on a weekend. Overall the store was clean, the service was great. The sales guy knew his stuff and was not at all pushy just pointing out the strengths of each we looked at. I was recommend to come here from a friend and I will recommend anyone looking for a bike to head down that way. If you can't find a bike at this store you are too damn picky or you don't need a bike. PS: Anything over 800$ gets you a $10 free full (130$) tuneup within the year, something I am sure I will need after putting on a few 1000km over this summer! Great selection of all bike items for all levels.

Went in to see what kind of sport items they have. Wow, do they have allot in here. This store is jam packed with stuff. We looked around at some bikes and were greeted within a minute. This place is defiantly a candy store for anyone who appreciates this kind of stuff. We advised we were just looking and still we were treated well. Very friendly staff and massive selection. Lots of parking too. Didn't end up buying anything however when I am in the market for a new bike, this is the first place I will go.

Bought my second bike after having BC build up a Surly LHT for my wife last year. This was a Sirrus Pro-Carbon that was discounted in Nov, had my eye on it thinking the size might be 1 size too big. Ty was helping me and he most gracious with his communications over the End of Year break. Went back in Jan, Ty had instant recall of the details, we walk over and it is now seriously discounted. Will it fit me I ask?..."Lets get to work"...Ty changes the seat post and the handlebar tube to shorten up that critical dimension and get an idea. He said "it looks good to me, lets book in with Ryan for a custom fit. One week later, 1h with Ryan.....he puts a different seat on, puts back the original tube, move some things around and he his satisfied with the fit. All of the swap parts at no charge, 1h custom fit, N/C (as it is with any new high end bike) all this even though it was heavily discounted. Wow! Outstanding (!!) service ethic at Bow Cycle with everyone who I interfaced with; Ty, thank you so much for taking all that time with me from "kicking the tires"...through several emails and then lead me straight to it the day it was heavily discounted (kismet I know)...Ryan, you are a magician, superb attention to detail, Thanks Mate. Last.....Derek, I have dealt with on the service desk, front desk, on the phone. This fellow, young as he is, understands the "Serve your customer" model. Always nice to finish up with you at the end of a pleasant buying transaction. Bow Cycle, the only shop in Calgary I would ever consider for my Biking needs.

Do not order on-line from this retailer. Service for curbside pick-up of on-line orders during Covid restrictions couldn't have been worse! Line up times for curbside pick-up exceeded 45 minutes on a weekday. Curbside pick-up customers wait in line behind everyone trying to enter the store. The staff member "working the line" was absent for 25 minutes leaving customers unsure of where to go.

I was recently in the market for a new bike and had been looking at MEC, The Bike Shop, Ridley's, and eventually Bow Cycle. Bow Cycle had the bike I settled on, so it made sense for me to purchase from them. I couldn't buy the bike on the first trip, so I came back a week later and tracked down the sales rep who had helped me. It was a busy Friday afternoon so I could understand a little delay, but I literally waited for two hours while the rep ran around and helped his other customers. He provided thorough service and was very knowledgeable, but it was a crazy long wait.

This is a big fun store in the beautiful old neighbourhood of Bowness. You can test drive bikes and have a great time exploring the store and enjoying bike adventure fantasies. They probably have the most varied and largest selection of bikes in Calgary. They have a diverse selection of bike accessories, cycle wear etc. For basic accessories (a simple functional helmet etc..) you might find the same thing cheaper at Canadian Tire but the selection of accessories at Bow Cycle is much larger and more fun. I personally recommend MacKenzie if you are needing sales help, he is a great guy! Regardless of whether you are serious about buying a bike this place is worth a visit, just for the experience.

Tried them for a second time after a bad customer service experience 2 years ago. got mis-served by the very same passive aggressive repair guy...talking to his his back as he walks away, I'm too busy! he says, telling me I'm not welcome in the store and he has more important things to do. Why am I talking to your back, I say to his back..he turns and now aggressive, says "I remember you from 2 years ago...Jerald!" Yes I didn't get what I paid for then either, which is, common politeness, such as, can I get back to you in 5? you know, something reasonable like that. So now, after being publicly shamed as a put off for my assertion of my right to get what I pay for, I am probably not coming back, I mean it was in front of the entire store, staff customers, all looking on...and I paid good money for this experience......still not sure why.....but twice burned is enough for me.

Every time I entered this store no matter who I got, they seemed to have a full and in depth knowledge of just about every bike in the store ( which is a lot of bikes). I bought a bike there and I rode it to death for a month until I busted the chain and the derailer and various other parts. When I took it back after talking to them for a little while, a gentleman named Tim allowed me to get my bike repaired completely free. Very prompt service and more than welcoming to their customers. I've got myself a new bike shop.

Did my one year service here in March. It was terrible. Service was terrible. They said they would call within two weeks. I ended up calling back 4 weeks later to see what was up. They said the bike was ready and nobody had called yet. Picking the bike up, I found the work didn't get done. The brakes were still loose and the bike was pretty much in the condition I had brought it in. Wasted over $100 on these guys. I'll never go back and it won't matter because they're really popular for some reason.

I needed a bike and Bow Cycle was the place to go. They had a sale on this weekend, so the place was slammed but customer service was humming like a well oiled machine. The staff at bow cycle are knowledgable and very helpful. They are truly concerned with making sure you get what you want, and that your bike fits properly. I am happy that I bought my bike at Bow Cycle, I love bikes!

I was looking for bike shoes and found a sales person who was incredibly helpful in educating me about what I'm looking for in fit and performance! I have never used bike shoes before so he showed me the difference between shoes. He was uber friendly and did not treat me like a silly novice when I asked questions. I am so pleased with my purchase and i would highly recommend Bow Cycle to anyone I know in need of good quality bike gear as well as VERY helpful service!

I have purchased bikes for both myself and my husband at Bow Cycle in the last few weeks. I opted to deal with Bow Cycle as they appear to be the only place in town that carries both Norco and Kona bikes, and those were the two brands I was interested in based on past experiences. The store's selection of bikes is amazing. While only one of each model may be on the floor, more are stored in the basement. This allows a buyer to try a couple of different sizes for each model s/he is interested in and get the fit dialed in as best as possible. Both of the salesman we dealt with (on two different days, about two weeks apart) were great. Both were knowledgeable and helpful. While the store is very busy, we never waited more than ten minutes before we had help. When we had help, we had the salesmen's undivided attention. After we had picked out our bikes, each of the salesmen continued to assist us as we picked out accessories. A month after I purchased my bike, I discovered a little issue with it. The techs quickly resolved the issue for me. The techs have also been willing to discuss issues with another bike that we have (our oldest son's) and give advice and make recommendations. We are very pleased with Bow Cycle.

Did a lot of hunting for a city commuter and ended up making the call at Bow Cycle on a three-speed with balloon tires so I can ride some trails. Very happy with my bike and owe it to the staff for enlightening a novice on what style suits my interests best. After a couple months the bike had an issue that needed a replacement part from the manufacturer. Although the ball was dropped on the communication side, the work was performed as fast as the manufacturer would ship and I am back riding in the autumn sun. They responded to the communication problem with sincerity, which is exactly what I expect from a respected shop - mistakes happen, it's how a business responds that sets it apart.

The store is packed with people for a good reason. The bikes are of top quality and anyone that works there undergoes rigorous education that requires them to really know their bikes before they are able to sell them. They were not forceful and happy to let me try bikes of various types. Most riders were quite experienced and you could tell it wasn't just a job for them. I got to experience all the different lines of bikes as it's admittedly been forever since I bought a bike. They weren't arrogant or condescending about it which I really appreciated. You could definitely tell the difference between the sales people that knew all the bikes and some that only knew one line fast. They were quick to admit they could sell only one line. I really appreciated that sincerity. They were good in qualifying me for needs and didn't hesitate to educate for what I should be doing etc. Who knew one could get so much from a bike. If they came with XM rado I'm confident Bow Cycle would have it. Seriously, every bike you can think of to double bikes. I am 6'6" and they even had bikes in stock for me to try.

Great customer service, look for bruce very helpful, walked an extra mile answering my questions. Even if I wasn't sure of buying anything he search the computer for the specs I needed or the amount I had budgeted.

Unfortunately a very bad experience. They sure know how to sell but after sales / service is the worst I've dealt with. Really disappointed as I spent a lot of money on a high end bike. Bow C you lost a customer today and I was about to start shopping there for the wife's bike.

Be aware, this place is super intimidating! But.. luckily.. the friendly and experienced staff are there to help you. I'd been to Bow Cycle before for motorcycle parts and accessories, but this is my first time actually having to buy a real live bicycle. Do I get a hipster bike? A mountain bike for those mountain bike excursions I'll never go on? Or how about a street bike for triathalons I'll never do.. tough decision. I needed something for city commuting and lucky for me I had Dylan P as my sales guy. Dylan was helpful and knowledgeable and made me feel way more comfortable about riding a bike for the first time in probably 10-15 years. I was able to test ride two bikes I liked up and around the Bowness area. There is an incredible amount of selection on its two floors of inventory. Their accessories are also incredibly vast allowing me to even get a pet carrier for lil pooch to come along. The cashiers are okay in terms of friendliness, the one I had was half on the grouch. BUT the gentleman who helped me take the bicycle to my car was grade A. He showed me how to take my front wheel off, how to pop the basket off, and how to get the bike in my car. I literally that useless. I'll definitely be back to Bow Cycle, thanks for making buying my bicycle such a fun and positive experience!

Hi My name Stephanie. My daughter is Sierra she is four. We have bought our bikes from Bow Cycle sports since Sierra was two years old also our helmets. Th member who served us also help us to our wants and needs said the first time Sierra put a helmet on what was said to my daughter from our specialist is," look high to the sky". Well I say this to my daughter each time we go on bike also put Sierra helmet on these word save her life for we where going down hill she went face first into a big rock the size of Sierra and her bike a person watching right in front of Sierra said if this girl did not have her helmet she would of lost teeth broken bones I do believe what saved us is pure love. Love from Bowness Bow cycle all they do more important who they are we thank you from our hearts and soul thank you to all!!

Bought a bike from them. Had to wait almost a month to get warranty replacements on the new bike and had to return the bike several times to repair the repairs. They told me when the bike would be ready and then phoned to say it would not be ready until after the 30 day return period. I returned the bike because I felt they were delaying repairs so I'd have to keep the bike. When I returned home there was a phone message saying the bike would be fixed on time after I had already returned it. There was not enough time after repairs to make sure the bike was properly fixed. Several days later I came in to buy a tube. They said that they wouldn't allow me to buy anything from them while I was buying a replacement tube for another bike. It was either walk out with the wheel and new installed tube without paying or pay. I convinced them to let me pay for the two tubes. Parts said the tube would fit my wheel and had installed it on the wheel. After a rough ride on the bike I discovered the tube had been folded inside the tire because it was too long! After buying 3 tubes I still don't have one that fits the wheel. I wanted to be happy about my purchase and was willing to give them a chance to win me back as a customer through good service. I was willing to purchase a bike that was free of defects but they refused.

Terrible experience from start to finish. I would not go back to this shop. Purchased a brand new 7000$ TT bike. Ordered over a month early, still did not get it in on time since it was ordered over a week after I made the deposit. Get to the day I need it and was well known to need it by then and it wasn't assembled. So they did a mediocre bike fit with all the cables and wires taped back. Once the 2 hour half a** bike fit was finished, it took an extra 3 hours to assembly, understandably so. Once the bike was "completed" it took another 40 minutes of waiting around just to get it in my hands, and quite honestly just wanted to take it with a billion parts out of the store and assemble it myself; due to the awful, slow, inattentive staff on hand. Finally, when the bike is done, parts are missing, and I'm handed a bag full of screws and pieces which are "extras" according to the staff, but a few weeks later I realize that the majority of the pieces and screws are to be on the bike and make it a little better functioning for a performance bike. Overall experience was awful from sales, service, mechanics. (front desk staff was nice, though) Do not recommend going here.

What was my only reason for not buying a bike at this store? 6 months coverage on the bike for minor repairs and tune ups? Really? When most other places do 2 years to lifetime... But, they stay in business because people are brainwashed.

They ignored my bike for 20 minutes. To then start working on it and have it done 20 minutes AFTER the store is closed. And the mechanic checked his phone a lot and moved the speed of a snail. Thanks for wasting my time so you can stand around doing nothing.

I was in the store a couple of years ago to buy a brand new motorbike and gave my deposit while waiting for approval. Ended up finding a bike elsewhere and went to get my deposit back. I was informed that I couldn't have the cheque back because they deposited it. Now my question was why cash a cheque for a product that wasn't approved by them or myself? But that isn't the complaint. I was then told by the female behind the desk, she said she was the manager, that they don't keep cheques in the office and I just have to deal with it. She then literally kissed her hand and blew me a kiss then rudely informed me that I will have to come back another day to get the cheque, my money! Even the staff that was standing around the office at the time had shocked looks on their faces when I walked out, which both embarrassed me and pissed me off. I asked for the owner to call me but of course they didn't, so me being the bigger person I decided to let it go. NOW, I am getting emails from them and have told them MANY times that I don't want there emails and that I tell everyone NOT to go to them because they don't care about the customer or respect. The continuous emails have only sparked the hatred I have for that 'woman' and the company. To the point that I am posting reviews. Maybe if they see how their customers are being treated they will actually do something about the lack of customer service and respect. But I wont hold my breath and until they do I will not step foot in that store or send my friends to them. I would rather pay too much for something and get good customer service than to get it at bow cycle for cheap, you don't deserve my respect so not capitalizing your company name.
