My hubby and I stopped in Moab for the day/night during our travels and we were really glad we choose this motel to stay at for the night. It was overall very pleasant and comfortable. Staff running the office were friendly, our room was very clean and comfy. Bed was comfy. It was thoughtful that the room included sanitizing wipes, ear plugs, shampoo and soaps, plenty of towels, a large tv, and 4 big comfy pillows. It was also nice that there was a Keurig in the room with good coffee. We did think it was a bit pricy for a simple motel room, but it is in walking distance to the downtown which is nice, and all of the other motels in that area were in the same price range. So it wasn't a deal breaker for us. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and we appreciated the room being clean and comfy. We would stay there again if we are ever in the area.

We drove into town from Tucson for a car show and booked the weekend here. When I arrived it was very busy and the lot was almost full. The gentleman at the front desk was super friendly and helpful and offered to move his car so I had a nice place to park. The room was very clean and accommodating and the rest of the facilities were very nice. The owner/manager was very friendly and very eager to make sure everyone was taken care of. This was by far my best hotel experience. We will definitely be staying here next year when we return. They also had a great photo-op on the side of the building.

Google
Only stayed for one night, but it was delightful. Location was fantastic for walking to downtown shopping and eating options. The room was just the right size for 2 people (we had a single queen bed), the bed was comfy, shower was great (good water pressure, and average height of shower head), had a fridge, microwave, Kurig coffee maker, and a small luggage area. Very thoughtful to offer ear plugs for the possibility of noise and cleaning wipes to sanitize the remote or phone. Would definitely stay here again! No breakfast, but we would’ve paid extra for that. Worth the $ spent

Google
Super convenient, clean motel on Main Street. All shops and food options are walkable! Ample parking and they have trailer parking around back. Clean room, good water pressure and in room coffee. Manager was very personable and genuinely kind. The pool was open and seen others using it (we did not). They have a washer and dryer for guest use which was a plus! We will definitely stay here again!

We are a family of 5 and took this trip as a college graduation gift for our twins. It's not easy finding accommodations for 5 adults. This place was amazing! We stayed in the apartment and everyone had their own room. They have thought of everything! Even provide rags to use to clean bike/hiking poles! Gave great suggestions for meals and are just so nice. We will be back since we would love to explore Moab and visit the National Parks again!

Google
Great place to stay. Room was clean and there was plenty of parking. Enty of ice. There are even free to use laundry facilities. My only complaint is the air conditioner was pretty loud and would get the room pretty cold and then shut off for too long, making the room too warm. It is right by a noisy highway, but there are complimentary ear plugs for anyone the noise bothers. There is a small Keurig in each room with coffee and tea pods. Would definitely stay here again.

I don’t usually write Google reviews, but I just had to share our experience! My son and I traveled six hours across Utah to get to the Bowen Motel, arriving after office hours. We gave Morgan a quick call to let him know we’d be late, and I’m so glad we did! He was so kind to wait for us and even rushed outside to move his car so we could park closer to our room. It was such a thoughtful gesture, especially after a long drive! The motel itself is really cozy and comfortable. One surprise was being able to do a load of laundry—something I rarely do on vacation! But with all the hiking and exploring we did, it felt like a refreshing bonus. Plus, the pool is well-kept and the location is perfect, right in the heart of everything. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend it!

Google
The Bowen Motel is wonderful! Exceptionally clean rooms, friendly staff, great location and great value for money. We highly recommend this motel - it knows what it is, and it does what it does very well. Particular shoutout to the housekeeping team for keeping the accomodation so spotless and clean.

John N.

Yelp
Right on Main St, this little motel is great for a basic stay - nothing fancy or upscale but is very clean, bike friendly, and a great staff! They have free laundry and a bike wash station for after ride cleanup. Again, staff was great and rooms were very clean, comfy, and just what you need. I would for sure stay here again on my next bike trip!

Yelp
I have no respect for a hotel that takes my money when I didn't even stay here. I made an honest mistake with expedia reservation and they care only about the money they make than their own future guests. To rip a single mom off with 3 kids around the holidays is messed up. I would never recommend this dump or stay here

Rita G.

Yelp
I stayed here March 13-16 2024. Got to my room and turned heater on, within 30 minutes I was congested..... I turned it off, tried to figure out using without fan...... can't. Polllen were high, but I take allergy meds. to get congested so quickly after fan is on means it is not cleaned often or? I had prepaid for 4 nights. I went all night without the heat on and it was in 40's outside. I asked if they would refund me the other three nights...... no. I stay in Moab a fair amount but at MainStay/SleepInn and never have a problem with their heaters/AC units making me sick. Today is 3/26 and I am still sick, on antibiotic..... frustrating to be sick when I do all I can to avoid it. Travel with humidifier etc. They brought an oil heater to room which I used the rest of the nights. I was there for an event and was too sick on Friday to leave my room except to get food.

Yelp
I had a good experience at the Bowen. I got a pretty discounted rate through a travel site that recommended Bowen. I was traveling alone and got a queen room. The room is small but adequate. Check in was simple and the room was very clean. This motel is literally off of the highway, so there will be noise, however for the price and location, it can't be beat. They even provide ear plugs and decaf tea. The bed is a little firm but for the convenience of being right in town, it's worth it. PS they do not have trailer parking, so if you have one, keep that in mind. The walls are paper thin, I awoke to the room next to me arguing write each other, but that's not at fault of the motel. Nothing some headphones couldn't fix. People are so snooty and stuck up in 2022 and will complain about anything. This is an honest review.

Sandy B.

Yelp
Reasonable price. Room was clean and comfy. Fastest check in we've experienced, less than 5 minutes and staff friendly!

Jenn M.

Yelp
Super clean room Quiet Comfortable beds So many pillows! Mini fridge and microwave Tv Overall a good choice for our trip! Would go back!

Prescilla S.

Yelp
If there was more stars to add I would. Not a fan of staying in hotels. I am soo in love with this place the people are great. Very accommodating. My heater was not keeping warm, the jumped on it right away. It was even the owner that came in with the maintenance man and they put in a brand new unit. I have never met a better owner before. They are really caring. And the hotel is really clean. Hotmama6 ;)

Joshua G.

Yelp
Great motel for the price!! Clean, comfortable and laundry on site if you need to do a quick load. Walking distance to food, drinks, shops. Pool was great as well!!

Michele G.

Yelp
DO NOT BOOK. This hotel is the absolute worst. My flights into Moab were just cancelled by Delta 2 weeks before my trip and the hotel is refusing to refund me. Additionally - the price I'm being charged is over double their currently listed rates. SCAM ARTISTS.

Pete L.

Yelp
Out of 6 motels on our trip of 3200 miles by far the best, cleanest, nicest, best rate bottom line.Highly recommend. And an awesome night lady and pool!

Bryan S.

Yelp
Very nice very clean and very comfy little motel. We stayed here while we are working outta town. Beds were comfortable, rooms didn't smell.

Angie C.

Yelp
Old school just like me. Very clean, nice people, spacious room. Walking distance to all the eating and shopping you need. Maybe a bike ride from the Moab Rock Shop. Stay here. Not at the ridiculous giant new hotels popping up everywhere like Amanita mushrooms. Those monstrosities are the result of all the ridiculous social media tourons (tourist + moron) that have probably never sat on a mountain bike. They're just there to post pictures of their pretend life to impress people they don't like.

Louise A.

Yelp
HOLD ON TO YOUR MONEY! DO NOT PROVIDE CREDIT CARD! This hotel refuses to allow cancellations even if you are extremely sick! This hotel takes your money instantly via credit card. Had to get my credit card company involved to initiate a dispute. Manager is unwilling to refund due to serious illness. Thank goodness for my supportive credit card company.

Alia H.

Yelp
Can't beat the location, in walking distance to all kinds of food and shopping. The room was clean to my ridiculous standards, and the customer service was excellent. Great experience overall

D O.

Yelp
This place was our sanctuary in a desert storm! Rooms are clean, well appointed, and the AC runs strong! Rooms aren't huge, but, if you're just looking for a cozy, clean. Safe place to crash, this place is great! Bonus: It's right near downtown so there's tons of restaurants within a quarter mile! Would 100% stay here again. Bonus: Stacey at the front desk told us about Dead Horse State park which I am so glad we made!!!!

Mrs A.

Yelp
This was the cutest little hotel. We were reluctant on booking from some of the reviews but once we arrived I immediately had to take pictures so I could do a proper review. Upon checking in- I myself, went to check out the room while everyone stayed in the car with the luggage. I do this at every hotel to check for cleanliness. It was SPOTLESS. Sooo many amenities and thought that goes into each room. It included ear plugs but we didn't even notice the noise. We visited the food truck lot for dinner and dropped $100 on 5 plates so be prepared. Canned drinks are 2.00 at the food truck park but only 1.00 at the vending machine by the pool. Check out the pictures for more stuff. We have already been referring people. We will definitely be back.

Jason A.

Yelp
Stayed here for a quick trip to Moab. Busy weekend so many hotels were very pricey. The Bowen was reasonable and it's location is ideal for shopping and eating in town. Like others have said ithe room kind of a funky smell but nothing bad. If you need a nice place and don't need to impress anyone it's totally worth it. The staff are also really nice.

David M.

Yelp
Of all the hotels, and I have stayed which number in the hundreds, this is the most disreputable. Background, when I was younger, I worked at holiday inn and a five star hotel in nyc. They were incorrect about their property's ability to accommodate our 32 foot motor home. Which they cannot do. We drove 3 hours to stay there after confirming this on the phone, before making a reservation. Showed up, desk clerk was nice, she said the manager would call, because he was out. I offered to show her why we couldn't get into their lot (gutter is too deep) Manager never called. Two days later I called back. Manager refuses to refund citing no cancellation policy. I point out it's not a cancellation, they could not accommodate us. We drove 180 miles out of the way, had to drive back to Colorado. No apology. He actually implied I was lying. I hope that this review helps other people understand that this property does not follow many of the tenants of the hospitality industry. The refused to resolve my dispute / problem at the time it occurred, they were disrespectful, they had no empathy for the inconvenience and cost their mistake made, and the refused to refund our stay, which we could not use. You will notice that they say we left so quickly. I asked them to call me They did not. No voicemail. No missed calls. It's not a trailer either. Street parking was not an option.

Annette L.

Yelp
We stayed in one of the family rooms, 3 full size/double beds. I'm grateful they have family rooms and thrilled they don't try to charge you per person or an arm and a leg for them! The pool was open and your standard hotel pool size. The kids got a little green with envy when they saw some of the other pools in Moab with their slides and fountains, but we had fun regardless! No breakfast, nothing fancy, but it was the least expensive we could find on short notice with availability and it was clean and in good order. The door was left open before we got here, which we found a little odd. Staff was friendly enough. It worked for our needs and we had no problems! Location couldn't have been better. We walked to every shop and restaurant we went to, it is right smack in the middle of Moab, we didn't see another one with quite as good a location.

Shelley S.

Yelp
Our group of 5 couples found the perfect set up at the Bowen Luxury House. 5 well appointed rooms with adjoining baths. Great place within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. Super staff that went beyond to help us. It was a great location to visit the parks and come back and relax with friends. Large private parking lot, porches, laundry and gathering space. Perfect for groups and families!

Lisa J.

Yelp
We stayed in a family suite. It was super spacious, clean and had good in room amenities. We couldn't hear any noise from other people staying in the motel but outside was loud in the early mornings. We were in a side room and lots of people used our parking spots to access cafe's nearby. Bowen should place a sign that says tow away zone unless staying on property.

Hugh K.

Yelp
Entering our room for the first time, there was a mild "off" smell to the place and the room itself looked kinda ratty. Anytime anyone nearby (above us OR on the same floor within a few rooms of ours) walked, our floors shook, presumably due to the poor construction and/or age (or both) of this hotel. Check-in and check-out were both easy, and the front desk staff members were friendly. We were fortunate to be given a corner, out-of-the-way room, which made for a quiet, comfortable, and uneventful stay. Had we been given one that was located more centrally within the property, I suspect that noise level would have been an issue. We got lucky. This room was overpriced, even by the already-higher-than-they-should-be standards of hotel rooms in Moab. We'd consider staying here again, but only if other options were unavailable.

Angela V.

Yelp
This motel was right in downtown Moab, Utah. The location was super convenient and was within walking distance of places you may need in town (restaurants, food truck park, the adventure centre, drug store etc.). It's also very close to Arches National Park and Lions Park (right at the scenic route SR 128) The staff was friendly and there is free laundry which is very important for dust that you may collect while out offroading or hiking. While it's not the prettiest or fanciest motel room, it is functional and convenient. It is right on the main road so there is some traffic noise but not too bad. The ventilation system/tv/earplugs (which are provided) help with that noise. Overall, great spot.

Michael B.

Yelp
This an impressive small motel on Main Street . They got their basics down. Clean , comfortable beds and very accommodating. It is within walking distance to most of the restaurants in Moab and a short drive to the national arches park and canyonland . We had couple minor issues with our booking that were handled professionally By Tyson . Plenty of parking space even if you get there late night . If you need a nice place to stay when ur out and about doing ur thing in Moab , that's a great place for the value. I will definitely be staying there again when I'm in town .

Ryan E.

Yelp
It was clean and comfortable enough. There was a Keurig in the room, plenty of hot water and I slept great. There was a pool but it's just a typical motel pool, no hot tub. This was just fine for our purpose of having a place to sleep after playing in the parks and on the slick rock all day. If it was a family trip I would choose another option with more amenities and better pool for the kids. But overall wasn't a bad place at all.

J.r. W.

Yelp
This is a nice choice for a hotel in Moab. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. It is on the main road but I was surprised by the lack of traffic noise inside the room. The service was great and the room cleaned daily. I would give it five stars but the WiFi needs a little more of a boost. Overall, this is a great value for a hotel!

Ellis B.

Yelp
Great for what it is, an inexpensive but very well located motel in Moab. They're obviously putting their best foot forward. Our queen double room (#111) was immaculate and, obviously, recently refurbished with care. I'd stay here again if ever in Moab!

Ray S.

Yelp
Thanks Tyson L. again for the hospitality and all the little extras that you have thought of. We definitely will stay again if in Moab.

Tammie J.

Yelp
This place is GREAT! It's in walking distance to restaurants and stores, it's CLEAN, roomy, and super friendly , professional staff. The price is unbelievable for such a great place! There is a pool, ample parking in a safe parking lot, and it's just clean and comfy. Wish we could stay longer.... We will be back! And, Shelly is who I dealt with over the phone to book our reservation, and to let her know we would arrive late. She was there still and she is the epitome of excellent guest service! That sweet bread the next morning that you put out with coffee is amazing too!

Since S.

Yelp
Extremely basic but generally tidy and close to tourist shops and eateries. Price on a Wednesday after the end of the 4th of July holiday was excessive. No breakfast or services generally common with more commercialized chains. Parking is tight, rooms are small, and bed is closer to a full than a queen. It get the job done, but that's about it. However, Honestly wish I had spent ten more bucks down the road.

Sarah R.

Yelp
This motel is a decent option if you're looking for a place to sleep while in Moab. The rooms are basic and on the main drag, which is good for walking to restaurants. But it also gets pretty loud in the a.m. if you're trying to sleep. Like any motel though, the exterior is louder, with people walking past your door at any given time. We came with the intention of hiking all day for a couple days, so the Bowen worked fine for getting some sleep and showering. Had we planned to spend more time at our room, we would've preferred a nicer place. But the prices in Moab are pretty inflated with tourist traffic, so comparatively speaking, this motel was a decent price for Moab. The rooms were moderately clean. The bathroom had some grime around the corners of the floor and the beds had fleece blankets that tend to have hairs clinging to them. So when we peeled the sheets back, there were many hairs on the fleece, which didn't give the appearance of a super clean place. We didn't end up using most of the bedding. Outside of this, the rooms were in decent shape. The beds were pretty comfortable and allowed for a good night's sleep. They do have a pool, but we didn't use it, as it faced the main street and was pretty loud. The motel is definitely within walking distance of lots of neat places downtown.

Robyn M.

Yelp
Terrific motel. A best value in Moab. Clean, friendly, bike friendly, large rooms with plenty of space. Great location, easy in and out. Not a fancy hotel, just a great choice for a clean and worry free room while you are hanging in Moab.

Nicole G.

Yelp
Great place to stay! We were just passing through Moab, and needed somewhere quick to stay. This was extremely budget friendly for as nice as the place was. We slept great, the rooms were very clean, and the front desk staff was quick and nice! The only downside to this hotel was it was close to the highway, so it was loud if you're a light sleeper. Not much you can do about that, but it didn't bother me at all!

Nathan S.

Yelp
A decent place to stay. Nothing spectacular but very refreshing to have air conditioning in hit Moab. Office staff were nice and the pool was also refreshing.

Tom K.

Yelp
Our Moab hotel philosophy is be in walking distance of shops and restaurants. You don't spend much time at your hotel, but you want to walk to dinner and back. The Bowen is a great, small, clean, economical hotel with one of the best locations in Moab. We have usually stayed next door at the River Canyon Lodge, which is our favorite. But we tried the Bowen for Easter Jeep Safari and am coming back in two weeks for the Moab Photo Symposium. The Bowen is nothing fancy. But the rooms are clean, staff super friendly and helpful, continental breakfast included and the location is sensational. Rooms are accessible through outside doors, which is actually pretty convenient to hauling gear in and out. We had a basic double queen room which was very large and included a good sized refrigerator and freezer. No frills, but a great place to spend the night in Moab.

James S.

Yelp
Friendly staff, family room has three beds and the place is super clean. Includes a nice pool, a wash area for gear and rags for cleaning the bikes. Good location, easy to get to several restaurants. Definitely happy with the stay!

Rick L.

Yelp
If you are just looking for a place to stay at a reasonable rate, this is the place to stay. It's not overly fancy, but it's clean and well kept. There is a fridge and microwave in every room, free wi-fi and a nice LCD TV to boot! It's next to my favorite breakfast place, the Love Muffin Cafe! Definitely a good combination!

Mary E.

Yelp
Had to cancel due to a positive covid test. I asked to have the fee waived(the fee is the full price of the room) Considering we are in a global pandemic and I reached out to them 12 days before our reservation, I'd expect more. I was given the option to reschedule before the date of our original reservation but who knows when we will be able to travel. I look forward to visiting Moab when we are healthy and able to travel again. We won't be staying at this location though.

David C.

Yelp
We spent a week here in October. For the money, I think this place is grade A. Terrific location on Main Street. You can walk to all the restaurants and shops around town. Room 106 was clean and fairly up to date. You will hear some squeaky floorboards from people walking around in the room above. But they went to sleep at the same time as we did. Mattress and pillows were good. Carpet is clean enough for me not to be paranoid about walking barefoot and getting athlete's foot. Swimming pool is small but heated. It's not a new building but everything is well-maintained. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Coffee maker in our room had a leak. They replaced it the same day. Wi-fi reception was good and they have two good desktop computers. Nice 40" TV and a good selection of channels including an HBO multi-channel package. Rooms were cleaned-up everyday. There's an outdoor wash area for cleaning the mud off your outdoor gear (bikes, boots, etc). They also provide cleaning rags.

Yelp
DO NOT BOOK ONLINE EVEN IF YOU ARE INSTRUCTED TO BY THE STAFF! I have stayed at this hotel for the last 15 years bringing groups of friends and kayak clubs staying one night before heading out to paddle the Green River. This year I CALLED to make my reservation and was instructed to book online because it would be quicker and I might get a better rate. I was not told at anytime that I could not get a refund if I had to cancel or make any changes. Imagine my surprise when I called to cancel my reservation 3 months out and was told I would not be getting any refund since I booked online. No where on their website's home page do they state their reservation policy. If you click on Reservations, there is no mention of a cancellation policy. Only after you make the reservation do you receive a confirmation email with a notice that you can not cancel or change your reservation and receive any refund. DO NOT B I never had any intention of booking online until I was instructed to by staff at the hotel. This is a poor way to treat a repeat customer and an underhanded way to make money.

Phillip E.

Yelp
Cleanliness, bed comfort, functionality of facilities, quiet, parking convenient to our room, spacious rooms, Wi-Fi, good range of cable channels, price competitive and friendly responsive staff - these are the criteria by which we judge our accommodation. Spending around half each year in your hotels, we've worked out what makes our stay enjoyable and what doesn't. We are not seeking luxury. We do not rate breakfast as none is adequate in terms of our needs. The Bowen Motel ticks all the boxes. If your key criteria match ours, look no further.

Eryn V.

Yelp
This is by far the best place to stay in Moab. We've stayed here a few times in the last year and love it more each time. We had a small room mix up on our most recent arrival that was no fault of the hotels. The owner personally and swiftly resolved the issue and took great care to make sure we were at ease. James and I would like to personally thank the hotel owner and staff. The room was beautifully cleaned each day, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. Thank you all so, so much.

Erin L.

Yelp
- $79/night for two queens - Outdoor pool - Continental breakfast wasn't much - Place does not look like much from the outside but the rooms are nice - Great location close to downtown so you can walk to shopping and restaurants

Vikkie N.

Yelp
Yes, it's a little older and they are in the middle of a big refurb, so some of the rooms are not quite finished - big deal! It's a great little place in the middle of town. Plenty of parking and walking distance to the town restaurants. Staff were friendly and the room was clean and big. We didn't get to try the pool as we both forgot our swimmers!! The best thing about this place - THE PRICE!!

todd s.

Yelp
Big rooms. Comfy beds. AC worked. Larger than normal hotel frig. sub par continental breakfast. No yogurt. 2 types of cereal. Great location. Good value.

Cinthya D.

Yelp
Love this place clean and comfortable they have a extra parking lot for trailers great location

Tiff A.

Yelp
Nice people! Room was comfy and clean. The dog slept in luxury by the ac. It's in the middle of town so we walked to breakfast. We weren't here for a 5 star hotel, just looking for a good bed, nice shower, and a clean room. Which is just what we got at Bowen motel.

Yudoka D.

Yelp
Super clean, and affordable. Checked in around 9:30 PM and the front desk lady was super friendly and kind. Originally booked for 1 night but decided to extend another night and the process was super easy and quick. If you are looking for a place to stay that will get you to Arches National Park or Canyanlonds, then this is definitely it. Only 8 minutes away from Arches!!

Jared M.

Yelp
Its definitely an older hotel. Its not as nice as one of the newer hotels. Its a little worn around the edges. The AC is a little noisy. The internet is a little slow. But its clean, safe, well located, has a nice pool, and seems well run. I think it represents a good value for your lodging dollar.
