Bowentown Beach Holiday Park

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this peaceful beachside holiday park! The location is unbeatable — right by the sea, super quiet, and incredibly relaxing. Everything you could possibly need is on site: well-maintained facilities, a clean laundry with washing machines, and even a great BBQ area which was perfect for evenings with friends and family. The surroundings are simply stunning, with endless opportunities for beautiful walks and amazing day trips. We enjoyed exploring the area so much, we wished we could have stayed even longer! If you’re looking for a relaxing, scenic place to unwind by the ocean with all the essentials provided, this is it. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay in our caravan at this park. All the facilities were super clean and it was great to see they weren't closed at the time of cleaning. The kids that were a part of the group had a wonderful time bouncing on the big mat. They met other like minded kids and formed friendships. A short walk to the beach and I even managed to stumble down using my crutch. A dog friendly park except over the summer, and plenty of dogs as well. Altogether a great camp for young and old with a lot of interest locally. We will definately be back. Thank you park management for the experience.

Another wonderful stay at Bowentown Beach Holiday Park! We have been enjoying it there for a break over the holidays for the last four years and always look forward to returning! Many others at the camp have been staying consecutively for 20+ years, so that alone speaks for itself! Friendly and helpful staff, squeaky clean facilities, amazing location to get away from it all- highly recommend!

We had an incredible stay at Bowentown Beach Holiday Park over Labour Weekend. Our non-powered beachside tent site was amazing — falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking up to native birds each morning was something special. With four boys (aged 0–8), there was never a dull moment. Between the beach right next door, the epic playground, the game and movie rooms, and the pedal kart rentals, the kids were in heaven. The Labour Weekend activities were such a highlight — the sandcastle competition, outdoor movie night, and family games created such a fun, community feel (and we were pretty stoked that our sandcastle even took out a win!). We also managed a night-time soak in the spa, which was the perfect way to end the day. The staff were outstanding — genuinely friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The facilities were spotless and well maintained, and the whole park had such a relaxed, family-focused atmosphere that it made leaving really hard. Watching our boys make new friends and spend their days outside, just being kids, was the best part. We’ll definitely be back — Bowentown has earned a spot as one of our new family traditions. The only downside? Having to pack up and leave!

Staying in our motorhome we must say we were impressed. From the check ✅ in, with Kirsten, and the advice and help we received from the start. A beautiful Holiday Park with everything so clean and tidy. The playground too, is well thought out for childrens pleasure during their stay. Very handy to the beach and rolling surf, our two small dogs were in heaven when we all went down to the sand. It is fantastic that the dogs are allowed to be with us on holiday during the off season. The showers were nice and hot water aplenty. A friendly little bunny was not at all worried about two highly excited dogs because it sat just outside their wire fenced yard and teased them. In all a great place to stay and we will be back. We booked a campsite last minute and a lovely lady called us and moved us to a better site. The Location was perfect with easy access to both the beach and the harbour. All of the facilities were super clean and everyone was very friendly. The coffee was also on point! We will definitely be back

We love this holiday park! It's in a fantastic location with a safe swimming beach just over the hill, next to ocean beach, close to cycle track and not far to Waihi Beach. Oh, and the lovely on-site coffee shop. Facilities are clean and relatively modern, there's an easily accessible dump station and the staff are lovely and friendly.

This is our favourite holiday park! Love bowentown, friendly staff, grounds and amenities are always well kept and clean. Sites are a good size for our large tent. Kids always have a blast here!
