On the Grid : B Bar & Grill

"There's something for everyone at B-Bar: indoor/outdoor seating, a comprehensive menu of staple dishes for any meal, countless bars, and even a taco stand. While the bar/restaurant's weekend late-nights (especially in the summer time) are overtaken by NYU students and recent grads, B-Bar at any other time is the perfect place to grab a patio table, order a round or two of cocktails, and watch the city go by. It's the ideal place for group outings where there is undoubtedly something for everybody." - Carbone Smolan Agency

This replaced the Library of Distilled Spirits. Which the bartender stated they’re not sure it closed but it was such a cool place. Either way the Bowery Road was a small bar inside the Hyatt. Had a cool mellow atmosphere. They don’t have a lot of rare spirits but had a few of the popular ones available. My husband had the Van Winkle pour. The cocktail was good. I Ordered the guacamole and chips and the “Not” a Penicillin drink it was good. Staff were extremely attentive. The service was good. Menu for cocktails was short and sweet but could always whatever you choose to have them make your go to drink. The prices were great. It was very nice hanging out here especially when you’re staying at their hotel.

This is the designated restaurant for globalist breakfast benefits. The service was above average. Everyone was kind and amicable. Food was just okay though - definitely would not recommend paying out of packet for breakfast with the exception of apple cider. Apple cider was absolutely delicious.

The experience was great when I visited here. We were immediately greeted, it wasn’t crowded so we were able to make a preference and everything flowed seamless. The food was okay. I wasn’t blown away nor dissatisfied. The cuisine here is your typical american eats. We ordered pizza and there were no complaints. My favorite part was the aesthetics. I took plenty of pics and the bathroom had great mirrors for selfies. If I was in the area, I could see myself returning and I wouldn’t discourage anyone from coming either.

We came here for breakfast, lunch and afternoon coffee. Each time we were happy with the food they served. Super fresh and delicious. It’s not as busy and staff are extremely nice. Butternut squash soup, oatmeal, kale salad are the dishes we really love.

Google
Waiters are nice. Too bad the food is consistently poor and below average. Per staff juice and granola is store bought. How difficult is to mess up eggs and toast. But they find a way. It’s an embarrassment to have this connected and associated with the Hyatt brand.

Google
Delicious food, fabulous drinks and wonderful service! I stayed at the Hyatt Union Square for a few days and popped down to the restaurant quite a bit for drinks, dinner, snacks & breakfast. All the servers were super friendly!

Google
Yes it's at the Hyatt but no it doesn't mean the restaurant is a touristy spot. The food was delicious. We had the Thanksgiving menu and it was perfect. The brisket was ridiculously well prepared with vegetables and awesome seasoning. The appetizers were super fresh and tasty. The desserts were simple but very tasty.

Google
Bowery Road was a really lovely lunch experience! The atmosphere is airy and volume level is lower/calm. The food was super tasty — recommend the hummus, butternut squash soup, Bianco pizza and shrimp tacos. The service was a little slow for getting refills of water / coffee and the check but overall very wonderful experience!

Yelp
Located off the lobby of the Hyatt Union Square the Bowery Road restaurant was a convenient choice for a decent breakfast. We ordered eggs benedict (subbing a slice of tomato for the meat) and French Toast. Both were solid breakfast dishes. There was some questionable decision making from our server. Although not busy he spent an inordinate amount of time bussing a single table vs. paying attention to diners needs. While this appears to be a staffing issue it was frustrating none the less.

Yelp
The service was even worse than the food. It took about 20 minutes for the waitress to take our drink orders upon arrival, and she probably came around to our table about 3 more times after that the entire night. She barely checked in with us, didn't talk to us outside of taking our order, and never even gave us her name. We had to repeatedly ask multiple staff members for basic things like water refills and place settings, and it took an average of 15 minutes just to get these requests fulfilled. Every time we tried to get the waitresses attention she had her head down or was looking the other direction. Ive never felt intentionally ignored like this at a restaurant and it honestly felt like we were getting pranked with how awful the service was. I can't believe we had to pay a 20% tip for this place! Overall, this place was a complete letdown. I've had a way better experience at the Applebees in Times Square, for a third of the cost.

Yelp
Chic, industrial decor, good service and better than usual hotel food. We had the American breakfast it was good. I recommend this place for a fast and easy breakfast.

Yelp
After the second time the kitchen got the order wrong, I didn't bother sending it back again. Globalists should have a better option, but that's Hyatt these days.

Yelp
Came on a Wednesday at noon with a reservation for four people. The restaurant is very spacious and great for large groups. However, service was slow when the place wasn't too busy, it took about 25 minutes for three burgers and a fish dish. I got the branzino which included pancetta, cannellini beans, baby spinach, and salsa verde. Everything was flavorful and the fish was cooked perfectly crispy skin/flaky meat. The lemon added a hint of acidity and gave the dish a fresh/light taste.

Yelp
I've come here for brunch and lunch. They were able to seat a group of 25 of us at the door without a reservation. This time I went for my birthday dinner with 9 of us. It was a last minute reservation. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves on a Friday night at 8pm prime time, when people are lining up or cramped at other restaurants. The music was soft enough that we had a great time talking and catching up. I wasn't sure what to expect from the dinner menu, and was expecting your typical hotel fare - not terrible, not great. But everything was delicious! For apps: small portions to share. Beets salad, chicken, hummus. Pita had good flavoring. Entrees: Salmon & Branzino were amazing. Cute they served Farro with faroe island salmon. Branzino was a bit spicy. Beans were delicious. Shrimp tacos & burgers were good. Then they provided a whole cake for my birthday, that my sister negotiated down 50% off. All entrees were $17-$35. Pretty reasonable. Cocktails are $16. Wines are $15. Beers $10. Staff was very nice and didn't rush us to order or leave. Let us hang out as long as we wanted. Next time I'll have to book a party or something.

Yelp
I had a ticket to see a 9:00 p.m. showing of Titanique at the Daryl Roth Theatre, so I scouted out restaurants nearby. I had no idea Bowery Road was "a hotel restaurant" until I came here to leave a review and read the other reviews! My meal was excellent, and my server (Chelsea) was attentive and professional. I had looked up the menu before visiting and decided to start with the salmon crispy rice and then figure it out from there. Chelsea was gracious and flexible to accommodate my vague plan for my meal. The salmon crispy rice was delicious -- the simple ingredients were fresh and delicate and high-quality and expertly prepared, and I loved every bite. Once I finished up the salmon appetizer, it was time to figure out next steps, and the steak frites called to me. And I'm so glad it did! The steak was cooked to a perfect (for me) medium rare, and it was just outstanding! The fries could have used a little something (a little extra salt or other seasoning), so I dipped them in the chimichurri. (Before ordering, I had asked Chelsea if the chimichurri is served on the steak and learned that it was, so I asked for it on the side, but I lovelovelove chimichurri so I ordered *extra* but on the side, haha.) Anyway, the steak was so good, I told friends that I didn't want to swallow each bite because that meant I would stop tasting the deliciousness! A word on the ambiance: This place felt like it was designed specifically for me. It was lively but quiet, super comfortable and laidback, with friendly staff and a music playlist that I wouldn't have thought to put together but was cool and low-key. I sat facing the window to 4th Avenue, and the door to the restaurant's outdoor seating was open, so I had easy access for watching people and their dogs who walked by. I'm from Indianapolis, so I won't be back all that frequently, but if I have tickets to a show downtown or am downtown for any other reason, Bowery Road will 100% be on my list of places to return to.

Yelp
Make reservations! This place gets busy during rush hour. The atmosphere was perfect--dim lighting, relaxed, soft background music, classy décor, spacious seating arrangements. A huge bar. This restaurant is great for any occasion--date, family/friends outing, business meal, solo indulgence. The service was lacking. Our server was polite, yet he clearly couldn't have cared less. When asked for menu recommendations, he did not seem knowledgeable of the dishes, and just said "everything on the menu is good, everything is popular". Obviously! Why would we ask for your expert opinion? Had to wait who knows how long for him to take our order, while he was idly chatting at the bar, a few steps away from our table, not even glancing in our direction to check up on how were doing. Did not check in with us throughout our meal. And the restaurant was empty, so it's not like the staff were overwhelmed with work! The food menu is small and changes seasonally. $16 tuna tartare appetizer was a major disappointment. The chips were stale. There was barely any tuna on the plate, and it tasted tough and old. Definitely skip this "popular seller" on the menu. $20 burger was the saving grace of our meal. Get your meat done medium, so it's still juicy. Thoroughly enjoyed our burgers, which were well seasoned and tasty. Big portion too. The side of fries were crispy, yet delicate on the inside, and most importantly, not greasy. The only downside of the burger and fries was that they were on the salty side. Prepare to feel dehydrated and drink tons of water after your meal. Was surprised how unclean the bathroom stalls were. This restaurant is located in a hotel and the hotel's fitness studio is located right next to the restrooms, on the ground floor, below the main restaurant level, so you would expect the hotel staff to take care of their facilities. Also, the restroom is unisex, so anyone can use the stalls in the shared space, which might seem a bit unorthodox for some visitors.

Yelp
I stopped in here on a whim from one spot to another. This is a hotel restaurant with a simple menu, but most everything I had was good. It was brunch, so I had the grass-fed skirt steak and eggs, which also came with breakfast potatoes. The steak, which I ordered medium, was seared just right and perfect inside. Salsa verde added flavor. Plenty of seasoning. The eggs were easy over and a wonderful, runny compliment to the rest of the dish. And the potatoes were crispy and also seasoned--nothing bland here! Expect the Bloody Mary. It was terrible and thin and a bummer of a drink. But the citrus margarita was refreshing and I had two of those. This menu has some basic salads, sandwiches, and a elementary wine list. Without tip, my big entree and three drinks were about 75 dollars. Everyone was pretty attentive and seemed to work together, and it wasn't crowded. Nice Sunday morning on the lower east side.

Yelp
Food was quite good. But they just could not get our orders right somehow. It was midweek lunch time. Honestly it was just fine. But don't expect too much. The kitchen is trying to make interesting tasty food --- but if you call something cauliflower -- then send out cauliflower..... And we do not like reminding waiters if our drink orders. I guess that's why they get lower tips....

Yelp
We came here for brunch and it was amazing! We got the steak and eggs and the brioche French toast. Both items far exceeded our expectations. The steak was juicy and tender, the potatoes were surprisingly good, and the French toast had the perfect sweetness and texture. Service was also very good, everyone was very accommodating and quick. The vibe is very upscale but casual at the same time. 10/10!

Yelp
Meh. Went for lunch, and was underwhelmed. First off if you're gonna charge $20 or more for a main plate it better be better than the $6 Gyro on 8th street and 3rd. BTW that's a high bar as far as I'm concerned as I am a big fan of street meat. Anyway, it wasn't. The presentation meh. The food meh. The service meh. The prices waaaaaaaayyyyy to high for what you get, and the atmosphere meh. So meh meh mehhy meh. It wasn't bad; it just wasn't worth it. Not going back, but will go to the gyro guy on St. Marks and 3rd.

Yelp
My party of 4 ate at Bowery Road last night. I had no idea it was a hotel restaurant. Typically these types of restaurants are not up to the same level as their non-hotel counterparts. That said, the place was virtually empty, and the service at the bar was attentive. Dinner service: The bartenders were the wait staff, and while that sounds acceptable, there were some missings. Example - We ordered 2 appetizers for 4 diners, which were servied without plates for each patron. Drinks: My martini was perfect, though the glass was not a martini glass. It was a champagne toasting glass, which is barely acceptable. My daughter's cocktail was not to her liking, as she found the taste of celery overpowering. They have a very impressive tequila menu! Food: Our overall opinion was: Meh. Salad with chicken was unexciting, as was the burger and crispy chicken sandwich. My chicken paulliard was also unremarkable.

Yelp
Great food, great staff -- excellent bartender. Love the space, too. Went for an early dinner, we might've been one of three parties in the entire place but everyone acted like we were the most important table there. Wonderful experience.

Yelp
I came on a Friday afternoon around 12pm with 1 friend and we didn't have reservations, but there was no wait. The restaurant is quite spacious and has a rustic charm - I love the aesthetics inside. They also have outdoor seating, which would be very nice when it's warmer, but we sat inside. Price point here is pretty affordable compared to some other brunch spots in the area and they have a selection of items on their menu with ability to adjust for dietary reasons. The staff were very attentive and provided amazing service for us. Special shoutout to Mayte, Oscar, Shely and Chef Fransico who made our experience here unforgettable! I will definitely be returning and spreading the word. Their next door bar is also a great place for drinks and has amazing vibes.

Yelp
We came at a down time around midday for the restaurant week deal. The ambiance was really nice and neat with an attractive theme to the restaurant. I loved the wood and metal theme with warm lighting. The food was good but nothing spectacular, it seemed that a few things were not top of the line for a place that is 3 $$$ on google so thankfully the restaurant week deal made it seem more appropriate. The crispy chicken for example wasn't crispy as with the side fries, the tortilla for the tacos also seemed mediocre. Service was solid. If I were to ever go back it would be for the atmosphere.

Yelp
Had Brunch there yesterday. Arrived on the early side and sat at the bar, likely before the crowds came. Overall, very nice experience. Steak and eggs were on point...and love the salsa

Yelp
Was staying at the hotel next door and tried this place for Brunch over several days out of convenience. It was audited decent, especially for a "Hotel restaurant", which sometimes has me weary of mediocre offerings. They stay was for more than a week and literally all the brunch items were consistently good. It is pricey given its location and hotel location, so my expectations were a little higher, but again they do a good job. I would come back even if I wasn't staying at the hotel. Never got to try them for Dinner, so I'm curious how that is, stay tuned...

Yelp
A good meal if you're in the area. The room is spacious, located on first floor of a hotel. The cocktails were surprisingly good. The entrees were tasty and the service was attentive. We might return if we're in the area, but nothing stood out.

Yelp
Enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Yelp shows this is a $$ cost but it is a bit more. Sunday brunch in the city at a nice place with good food and atmosphere.

Yelp
Great spot in a fantastic location just a block down from Union Square. Great vibe, FANTASTIC craft cocktails and excellent food. The salmon tartare is especially yummy. Honestly, everything I've eaten here has been wonderful. I came here from brunch the past weekend. As often as I've been here, this is my first time for brunch. I'm glad to have brought a few friends here because everyone enjoyed their meal. The service is always friendly as well. Thumbs up!!

Yelp
I had the hummus, burrata and salmon tartare for apps -- and they were just alright. I think the salmon tartare was probably the best out of the three. As for cocktails, I got the roll with it, which was delicious, but for whatever reason, it had the shortest straw possible, and that made it virtually impossible to drink it through the giant pile of ice cubes up top. I pretty much think I drank only 50% of the actual cocktail, because of it lol. As for the main, I highly recommend the branzino. It was perfectly crispy skin and cooked really well -- probably the best dish of the entire meal. Surprisingly ok for a hotel restaurant, but definitely not a spot I would go out of my way to eat at.

Yelp
Delicious food, restaurant is attached to Hyatt Union square. Ordered both takeaway dinner and breakfast, a little on the pricier side but relatively standard - kale salad w/chicken (yay): would recommend! Baby kale, fresh vinaigrette and chicken breast add on was tender, moist and flavorful - avocado appetizer (ok): lemony avocado mash, served with thick crackers that weren't very crunch. Nothing super special - Bfast DIY omelette: served with salad, egg whites with oyster mushrooms and super chewy bread Super friendly service, would recommend!

Yelp
Stayed at the hotel and dined here for breakfast. Unfortunately the meal was just very meh. Coffee was very light and watery, grapefruit juice as good, my egg sandwich entree was disappointing. I asked for eggs over medium but it came out pretty runny. Bacon in the sandwich was undercooked and chewy, and the sandwich had a strange mix of sautéed vegetables on it? Side of potatoes were also bland. Restaurant itself is nice, bright and inviting. Unfortunately the food didn't match the ambiance.

Yelp
Such an amazing space and restaurant. Came here on a Thursday night with a Girlfriend and noticed the high ceiling and decor was so beautiful. The menu wasn't that wide but the taste shows differently it was so flavorful! Simple dishes made flavorful using local ingredients from the green market as quoted from the manager May who was super duper friendly and attentive and nice. She suggested few dishes and I looked up some prior to coming. U added in the blooming Mushroom last to my order and that was my favorite dish! It tasted like a lightly battered fish but it was actually Mushroom! I could eat like 3 orders of those! We also ordered the beet salad, cauliflower salad, side of Brussels, steak tartare, steak, and the rigatoni I know we ordered a lot but everything sound amazing and was amazing! I'll be sure to come back for brunch next time! ***their bathroom is connect to Hyatt hotel and amazing hand soap and lotion with the scent of green tea! Such great vibes !!! && date night spot

Yelp
I wanted to like Bowery Road. I really did, especially with its glowing reviews. But I found myself feeling like it was an overwhelmingly average experience and not worth the price tag. Here is what you need to know about Bowery Road: 1. It's attached to a hotel and in a super convenient location. The vibes are typical dark and trendy with New American fare. 2. The menu may be on the expansive side but the food is overwhelmingly boring. I tried to see out any strong flavor yet found myself bored. The pasta was okay and the burger was significantly less flavorful and delicious than I expected. Especially for the price. 3. Bowery Road is on the more expensive side of casual restaurants so be prepared. 4. The staff is nice and service is fairly consistent. I wouldn't recommend Bowery Road to anyone seeking a standout experience, particularly for the price point. If you're paying this much, you may as well head to a higher end restaurant for a better food experience.

Yelp
Originally we were looking forward to eating at a farmer's market in the city, but turns out they had only fresh veggies and no prepared foods. We walked around hangry until we settled on this nearby place called Bowery Road. From all the Yelp pics we've seen, we had seek out this mouth-watering Short Rib Benedict. Somehow they forgot to put this on the brunch menu so we had to request it. Short Rib Benedict was delish and the short rib was charred to perfection. The poached eggs were a little bit runny, even the whites. It was goood. The potatoes were equally as good as the rest of the dish. Fried and crisped to perfection, I loved the flavor of it as it was some of the best I've had. Shrimp and grits was beautiful and tasty and also came with poached eggs. Very flavorful and also loved the shrimp. The interior decor of Bowery Road looks nice, but almost like a hotel. They can accommodate small and large parties. On my way to the bathroom on the lower level, I found a couple of really nice private dining areas that are perfect for special occasions. Bowery Road has one big gender neutral bathroom and this might be the first time I've shared the space with two ladies. Felt like I was in the wrong bathroom. After washing our hands, me and the women tried to finagle the hand blow dry machine not knowing where the sensors were. Still kept thinking I was in the wrong bathroom lol. All good though. I really enjoyed the brunch here at Bowery Road. Service was great and the staff was very helpful and professional all around.

Yelp
It's tough giving this place only 3 stars because the food was generally good. That being said, it's hard finding a place in the city that will take a large group without requiring a minimum order or a set menu and also expecting great food and service. Bowery road was great in accommodating our 15+ group on a Saturday night. Our server was very pleasant, but there were several mishaps that really bothered me. For both the appetizer and entree course, 2 people did not receive their order. I get that it's difficult to get everything right but it took over 15 minutes for the food to arrive and everyone else would already be done with the relevant course. Our server did comp the 2 entrees that were significantly delayed, which was a nice gesture. I ordered the steak tartare which was a nice size portion and had chips sprinkled in which offered a nice crunch. For my entree I ordered the branzino (i was one of the ones who didn't get my entree until everyone was done eating). The fish was cooked well, i think they could've done more with the skin though. At the end of the day, I find this to just be a hotel restaurant and I wouldn't go out of my way to come eat here in the city.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with a large group (10 ppl) Staffs were very friendly but the service was very slow, took really quite a while for our food to arrive. But the food in general was very good and we all enjoyed. Beets- very fresh love it! Ricotta spread- great flavor love it love it! Salmon entree- can't go wrong. Rigatoni- not bad but also not memorable. Cocktail- the Four Rose (?) bourbon was very good! I'd come back

Yelp
Restaurant week checked out love their menu and the variety of food on the RW menu for $39 per person. Had the branzino comes in form of fillet style, delicious over the beans and spinach. And my friend had the salmon over the quinoa. I will recommend the fried chicken *delicious and not too crunchy. Hot cider is very good

Yelp
Bowery Road is one of the best kept secrets in the Union Square area. They have a killer DAILY happy hour from 4-7pm that includes both food and alcohol. Beer is $5, wine is $6 and 3 select cocktails are $8. The happy hour special also includes small plates - my absolute favorite is the hummus and pita, followed by the fried chicken and beer nuts. One thing to note - the happy hour is at the bar only. I've also been here not for happy hour. A group of us came one night and sat outside and ordered non-happy hour drinks and food. We all split the hummus and ricotta toast which was excellent. We each had 2-3 drinks and the total was only about $30 per person which isn't bad at all. Even though most restaurants located in hotels tend to be a bit more on the high-end, fancy side, you can walk in here and feel welcome. The bar and restaurant are beautiful and the service here is great. Everyone is very professional, nice and accommodating. The bartender here is awesome and truly crafts each drink with precision and care. The crowd ranges mostly from young late 20s - 60s but you could still certainly come here for any occasions. Obviously this isn't the establishment to rip tequila shots all night long but it is certainly a great place to start your night with that killer happy hour. The verdict: come here for happy hour at the bar and enjoy the small plates and some great drink deals. You certainly won't regret it!

Yelp
Food was amazing!!!! Also service was on point Michael was our server and was very attentive and gave great recommendations 10/10 would recommend!

Yelp
Very solid food - had the smaller dishes of salmon tartare and roasted Brussel sprouts together. Service fast and knowledgeable. The room is great and definitely made for dinner as well as lunch.

Yelp
Nothing special here brunch wise but it is great if you want to make a big group reservation last minute since the place is nice and isn't too busy. The food is simple and plain but overall totally fine. Wouldn't come again most likely.

Yelp
Fantastic! I stay at the Hyatt Union Square occasionally for work and would frequent the previous restaurant (The Fourth). Just under a year ago, the ownership changed and Bowery Road took over this space. There are a few staff members that looked familiar (from the previous restaurant) and the bar area looks similar, but the rest of the overhaul is aesthetically pleasing. I usually sit at the bar - especially if I'm alone - which I was. The bartender and all of the staff were friendly and attentive. The food? Absolutely delicious. Oh - and they have happy hour!...a menu of small plates and assorted beverages for very reasonable prices. I had a glass of Malbec ($8) and ordered the smashed avocado ($7). The avocado was served with a little bit of olive oil and some spices...with a side of these amazing homemade, warm sesame-laden "crackers" or "flatbreads". I also ordered the Japanese fried chicken ($7) (I saw someone else at the bar order it and wondered what it was...the chicken was served in a folded steamed bun and I was intrigued....they had me at steamed bun). Yum. I decided to finish off the meal with either a salad or Brussels sprouts. I went for the brussels sprouts and wasn't disappointed. They were roasted perfectly and served with caesar dressing - it worked. All of that for under $40 in a VERY nice restaurant in NYC? Wow. I'll most certainly be back to try some other items on the menu.

Yelp
The hang over from Saturday nearly killed me! Bowery road saved me!! I needed food, was so hungry! Came across this place. It is an amazing cute place. The place is clean and the service was fast. The food was great.

Yelp
I wish I could rate the service and the food separately. For the service, I would give a 1, and food a 4-5. We came in on a Wednesday, about 10 of us. We had a reservation, and the place was pretty empty. It took 30-45 minutes to get a drink, and the food was slow too. The server didn't seem to care about taking our orders, or cleaning anything up. He just kept leaving everything on the table, so we ended up having a big stack or dishes and glasses just sitting there. The humus, fries, sundae, and pizzas were very good though. Don't order a margarita or Cosmo, both were very tart.
google avatar

Jordan M.

Yelp
Ended up here after looking for a restaurant near Union Square-I made the reservation a few days in advance and it was easy to get a table. It was pretty busy inside (7pm on a Friday). We had a great dinner-split lots of food (wings, snap pea salad, pizza) and had great drinks too. I had a French 75 and it was really yummy. Only 4 stars because service was a bit meh. The waiter kept coming over asking if we were ready to order right after we sat and was a bit pushy, but then it was hard to get a check. Also some other girl kept floating by refilling water but was wildly unfiriendly. Overall, I really liked the vibe and ambiance and food, and the girl at the front desk was awesome, but would love it if the waitstaff were a bit more organized/friendly.

Yelp
Part of the Hyatt, but not your typical hotel restaurant. Food is very good, and they have a great deal - 3 courses $39 with the whole menu to choose from. Our party of 5 decided to share everything Blooming mushroom: pretty good Meatballs: served with polenta, polenta was great I didn't personally love the meatballs Buratta - served with veggies. The sauce with this was great. Brussel sprouts - the absolute winner - served with bacon, pecans and melted cheese. Def get this. Steak tartare - it was good, not memorable though. I had the branzino, friend had the salmon, and the steak. All were quite happy with their dishes! Another star - the cookies and milk you get 5 cookies and they are home made deliciousness.

Yelp
What a cute restaurant! A huge thank you to our waiter Brian (from Canada). Thank you so much for putting up with our shenanigans!! My friends and I ordered from the pre-fixe menu where you get a starter, main course and dessert.. I ordered the Spicy Squash which was really good! The short rib rigatoni and then vanilla ice cream for dessert. Everything was amazing. I do wish that I ordered the fish that my friend ordered. It was also good! During my next visit to NYC, I'll definitely come back!

Yelp
Everything was on point. I have been eating through Manhattan recently and I have to say that this place stood out. The food was great. Grilled Branzino- definitely in my top 10 list of branzinos. The one I got looked a bit different from the pictures posted on the Yelp page, but maybe the ingredients or presentation changed a little. Mine didn't seem to have the green sauce in the pictures. However, it was still divine. The skin was just perfectly crispy while the inside was soft and not too fatty. The vegetables underneath the fish were refreshing and did not distract from the star of the show, the fish itself. Although it was not a whole fish and it was only one slice, I still felt satisfied. The inside looks really big actually with plenty of seating. They also had seating outside but unfortunately there weren't any tables open for that part at the time we came by. The service was wonderful. Very attentive and cordial. I would definitely come back for the Branzino. Maybe I'll also try other dishes as well.

Yelp
This gem is tucked away in the lobby (and off street) from the Hyatt Union Square. Their food is delish. I've tried them several times across breakfast, lunch and dinner. Every time the flavors are wonderful and the freshness is top. Try the Brussel sprouts and the burrata if you stop in for a drink. Both top notch. For breakfast they have some great options including a ricotta toast and also some great dishes with fresh avocado - yum. They do have a happy hour with specials on apps like hummus, shisito peppers, marinated olives and $6 wines and other drinks. It's a go-to for me in the area for a trusted food experience.

Yelp
Super solid dining experience near union square. Food was great and set in a wonderful ambiance. Really enjoyed the za'atar covered pita bread that came with the hummus, highly recommend! Also appreciated that they had vegan options!

Yelp
This review is only for the lunch special, which was BOMB! For $22 (I believe), you get an entree and a dip! Let me tell you though, this place does not skimp on the portion size for this deal either! The dip alone was enough for three people (but it was so good that I may have eaten it all myself). I got the honey ricotta dip and OMG! Best dip of my life! Wow that was amazing and the crusty bread is perfect with it. You NEED to get this if you go! I also had the veggie burger which was super fresh and light. (I'm not a vegetarian at all but I really liked this). The best part was that nothing sat heavy; after all of this food I still felt ready to take on the day. Overall, this place is great and I would highly recommend!!!

Yelp
We came here for a Sunday dinner. I guess because it's a new place so not that many people know about it. We were the only group who sat indoor in this big restaurant and other customers all sat at the outdoor patio. The service was attentive (again not many customers there on Sunday night). We ordered a bunch of dishes to share. Grilled squid, lamb, and the skirt steak were my favorites. Overall all the dishes were pretty decent but small portions. Sea bass was soooo tiny. The least favorite one was the mushroom. It was undercook and felt the bottom part was still raw. It's a decent place. Wish the portions were bigger.

Yelp
When I first heard of this place it was through a friend trying to celebrate their birthday here. We came, and I ordered the crushed avocado. I LOVED IT. The place was really snazzy and clean. Our waitress was super nice and inviting with everyone at our table. My friends aren't fans of vegan food so we ended up leaving right after the appetizer but I reallllllly wanted to stay. I really recommend this place if you're in the area and love organic, vegan, fresh food. I definitely plan on coming again with vegan friends lol. Thank you to the staff!!

Yelp
I went with my friend, and we ordered two appetizers and one main to share. All three, Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Roasted Cauliflower, and Branzino, were amazing and cooked to perfection. I would order the same three dishes again if I go back. Brussels sprouts were well seasoned and cooked thoroughly, leafy part tender and center part still retaining the texture. Cauliflowers were juicy, complemented by the garnishes. I was pleasantly surprised to find mayonnaise as the sauce, but great nonetheless. The only complaint I'd have would be the portion size for branzino. While I'm aware we shared a single main dish, but if I were to eat the whole thing by myself, I'd still want a little bigger size for the price. Still it was grilled well, the outside crispy and inside soft and juicy. I'd recommend this place for a fancy dinner spot. The cocktail was good too, but the food was definitely more worthy.

Yelp
I came here with a friend, the vibe was casual, low key; one table was having a work meeting, it's a good place to meet friends. I got the Pina Brava which was like a spicy pineapple margarita, it was medium spicy, delicious. We shared the zucchini chips, it was good, but on the small side for 2 ppl to share. I also got the Bowery Burger with sea salt fries, it was excellent. I saw some negative reviews of the service but it seemed fine to me.

Yelp
This is a lovely place to stop in for a quick meal. The vegetarian options are lovely here. I recommend the butternut squash soup and beet salad, which are both part of the small plates menu. The cocktails are worth trying, such as the vegan brandy flip. If you are by yourself, like I was when I wrote this review, you might only be able to get a table for yourself for an hour. If a table is not available, perhaps the bar would be your go-to seating area. Either way, the host and wait staff are well-mannered and professional. Given that this restaurant is a little pricey, I highly suggest this place if you want to treat yourself - especially if you do not go out very often - and you happen to be in between traveling to two appointments.
