Bar Bowie is such a cozy little hideaway — stylish without trying too hard. The drinks are great, the vibe is effortlessly cool, and it’s the perfect spot for a date or a casual catch-up with friends.

Discovered a true hidden gem where the entrance belies the beautiful mid-century interior, complete with lit tables and mirrored ceilings. They have cozy booth seating. 10 or so tables inside. Overall Bowie did a great job creating an intimate vibe. Staff were outstanding, adding a personal charm to the top-notch service. The menu offers unique snacks perfect for sharing, complemented by an impressive cocktail selection. A highlight was the bespoke off-menu drink, a testament to their creativity. A must-visit for a memorable evening with great vibes and exceptional service.

Can understand some people gripes with the service. But it’s a bar with a great atmosphere and a perfect place for a drink on any night bring friends or a day. Highly recommend.

once you find this place, you won’t be disappointed (through an alley and in the basement). amazing decor and atmosphere! the mac and cheese was to die for! the wine menu is sweet and simple and there are a lot of classic cocktails. the margarita left something to be desired, but every other cocktail/martini was amazing. definitely on the pricier side but a great little bar that i highly recommend!

Came here on a Friday night around 10 PM. There wasn’t really a line at this point outside. However, the inside was packed; there was no seating available and barely any bar standing room. The cocktails we ordered were a lychee martini and some type of passionfruit rum cocktail. Leche martini with standard the passionfruit cocktail really wasn’t that great. Perhaps it was just a poor choice on our end but the cocktails weren’t memorable and definitely over priced (typical for Toronto though). The music in here is good, house music vibes, but super loud. It was hard to converse with my friend. Turns more into club vibes than lounge vibes as the night progresses

On a night out with friends, we were looking for a place to grab some drinks and found Bowie on Google maps. It ended up being one of the highlights of our night! We were a bit confused trying to find the entrance as it's located down an alley at the back of the building and down to the basement level with no signage other than a neon side in the alley. But once you get through the door the interior is beautiful! We were lucky to get a table for 5 even as a walk-in on a Friday night, but we were given a 2 hour seating limit and the bar got busier as the night went on. There was also a DJ in the corner playing tunes throughout the night. What we ordered: - Espresso Martini - Paloma - Lychee Martini Final Thoughts: A hidden gem with great vibes, nice servers, and strong drinks. My friends and I will definitely be back again!

New speakeasy found on Ossington and what a pleasant new addition! Loved their classics and their martini are a must try if you are into those. Some snacks are quite unique and special which you can’t quite find in other places.

Love it here. Perfect combo of bar and club during the weekends. Great staff despite the busy busy time and very accommodating. The atmosphere, decor and vibes are just right. A staple on ossington for a reason

Yelp
More of a 3.5 star but bump because service was so nice. Located down a side alleyway, decided to visit because I heard nice feedback from people who have been previously. Our server was fairly new but attentive. He tried so hard to make sure our experience was good, which we appreciated. We came from dinner so just tried the following: 1) Pisco Sour $18 - I like this drink! Recommend! 2) Tiramisu - It was more of a pudding texture, did not really liked it. The salt topping was too overpowering. The interior stands out. I like the glass ceilings and cute wall art. I suggest not going around opening because it was pretty quiet. Music was barely audible, wish it was louder. Better vibe closer to 7:30-8 pm. Overall good for dates and friends but just be mindful it is not accessibility friendly. There are steep steps going to the entrance and washrooms are narrow.

Yelp
Came on a Friday night; it was standing-room only and so packed and loud! Tried highballs and cosmos, and both were fine. The bartenders looked a little overwhelmed and the washrooms were a bit of a situation. I think they needed to limit the number of people; it seemed like a fire hazard.

Yelp
Bowie has really cool speakeasy vibes, hidden away under a laundromat. It can be hard to find! The inside is a little tight but they have some nice booths. Drinks were solid. This was a great place for a pit stop on your night out, or a cute date spot.

Yelp
This hidden speakeasy was such a cute place to grab some drinks. I told my boyfriend to check if we were in the right place because I couldn't imagine there being a bar in that area so it really embodied the hidden speakeasy theme. We were seated right away and the bartender was great. It's a cozy spot with some delicious drinks. We had the lychee martini and coco kiss which were both delicious. The coconut rim on the coco kiss was incredible! Will definitely be going back.
