Bowmont Motel

We had a great stay at the Bowmont Motel. The location was perfect with everything we needed nearby, and the staff provided wonderful customer service. Our room was clean and met all our basic needs, with that kitschy blast from the past vibe that was actually quite charming. The pool is fabulous and we really enjoyed it. The price was excellent value, especially for budget travelers who want a comfortable place to rest. It's not fancy, but it's exactly what we were looking for. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to the area.

The room didn’t smell fresh or good. It smelled old and stale. The mattress was comfy though! But the frame was loud and squeaky. Decorations and room was cute. I like the amenities that came with the little kitchenette. Bathroom was also new looking. The sink was super clogged tho it made it hard to use it without it filling up to the brim. The only small and brief interaction I had with any staff is when we checked in and we had a pleasant experience with them. Greeted by a very cute dog in clothing!

as always, friendly staff, clean rooms, fun atmosphere.....the staff goes above and beyond at all times. we have stayed here for many years... and will continue to stay. the hotel even puts on a barbecue for the patrons, and a DJ for dancing on the Saturday night of the annual penticton car show. we highly recommend the bowmont for couples and families. there is something for everyone.

Wonderful staff and great service! The Bowmont went above and beyond for our stay and were incredibly accommodating. The motel is SO cute and retro. We went in the off season so the pool was not open but the outdoor area is wonderful - BBQs, loungers, picnic tables for the rooms. We stayed in the Family Courtyard Suite with a room with two singles and a main room with a queen. The full kitchen was really nice to have while travelling! We will definitely be back in the summer and plan to make the Bowmont a regular summer stay!

We recommand this place to everyone who wants to make holiday in a familyfriendly place. The pool, the BBQ zone and whole garden are perfect for families and also for people who wanna chill on the pool. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The team was very nice and extraordinary helpful. We got an upgrade of our room because there was a better one which was free (without paying more) - thank you so much! We enjoyed our stay and the location around is also very nice - you walk 2 minutes to the beach and to restaurants. We would book again :)

We checked in Friday night for a one-night stay on our way to Penticton and were pleasantly surprised from the start. Before arrival, we received a friendly email from Akia offering assistance during our stay, which set the tone for the great service to come. At check-in, Akia was at the front desk, cheerful and genuinely welcoming. She really stood out as someone who cares about guests. The hotel has clearly seen some years go by, but that didn’t take away from the charm. There have been major renovations that have really transformed parts of the property. Our room was bright, very clean, and perfectly located. The bed was super comfortable, and the sheets were crisp and fresh, exactly what you hope for after a long drive. The pool area had a great vibe, with kids playing, parents barbecuing, and others relaxing and playing cards. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. We’ll absolutely be staying here again!

Great little motel, with an amazing friendly vibe, in a great location. The pool area is a great place to cool off with a swim, and hangout with friends and family. Many of the rooms have a kitchen, with facilities to make meals. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you :)

The property is a little old but well maintained and very clean. Staff super friendly. We didn’t use the pool but it seems to be a focal point. Steps away from the beach and restaurants. E bike rental around the corner.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service.

I'm 43 and have been coming here since I was born. A classic, well maintained and proudly retro family motel run by two genuine and friendly owners featuring the best courtyard and pool in Penticton! A hundred yards from Okanagan Beach, numerous restaurants and entertainment venues.

We will most definitely be back! I love the staff...the joint is tidy and it is close to the strip. Great place for families because the courtyard has slides and adventure park is across the road.

An older motel with a good location. Rooms are dated, but patio and pool are excellent. I would stay there again, but probably not at their current pricing schedule.

A great place to stay if you're on a budget. It's in walking distance to many pubs and restaurants. It's right by the beach so the location is great. The owners are so very friendly and helpful with what to see and do in Penticton. The only issue we had was this place is old. Very old. Things were starting to fall apart. Our bed was soft and bouncy. The towels were wearing thin. Our sink was leaking and didn't have hot water. However, just a quick mention and they replaced the whole faucet for us! Great attention to detail by the owners. They offered us wine glasses upon check-in and were gracious enough to give us a bigger room.

This place is amazing..hosts Sam and her mom were very welcoming. Opened our room door..entered the 60's..spotless..great pool..bbq area..what a gem..will book a week next year.I would rate this property 6 stars if I could! Johnathan and Cynthia

This place was disgusting. It smelled like a cat was living in the room/ died in the room/ peed all over everything. The smell of mold was prevalent. Their cleaning ladies are a joke. They literally don't change the sheets. They re-made the bed and put my pillows I had brought from home in the disgusting blankets. We literally had to put the comforter outside because it reeked like urine. The toilet leaked all over the bathroom and it was just an extremely unpleasant experience over all. They also made us pay before we stayed there, I'm assuming because they know how gross their motel is and if they don't demand payment right away they won't make any revenue.

The woman at the front desk is extremely rude and ignorant. They state they accept Visa, Mastercard and AMEX however after you've paid they will complain that they pay 25% in merchant fees which is obviously untrue. I was double charged and told to wait 45 days for my refund to go through. I believe this is most likely because they know I only have 30 days to claim a dispute on my credit card. The motel itself is decent, the gentlemen there is also decent, but watch out for the evil witch taking your money! Dispute in process... Signed a very unhappy lady

Will NEVER stay here again. Just had a very aggressive employee speak to me in a way I would never speak to a paying customer. In town for a very well known festival and was visiting with band members after hours. Tried to keep noise to a minimum but it wasn't enough. Never happened in any other hotel/motel...welcome to Penticton. Basically f&&&& you, thanks for your business. We'll make sure we let the Jazz Festival know how welcome you made us feel. Will never stay here again!
