Awesome Coffee, the very best service. They really care about their customers and suppliers. Every staff person has gone out of their way to assist when I forgot to order, change of delivery address when it was late; never a problem. The Hathaway blend is so delicious, reminiscent of the wonderful BBC programme, "Lewis". It is such a balanced blend, not to weak, not too strong but has full flavour. Each week the coffee beans are delivered with accuracy and are fresh for my million dollar Breville machine. Consistent quality, fresh, fresh roasted coffee, great staff and the cafe is comfortable and very well run. They offer a lot of support to their suppliers and set such a good example of what a small business can achieve. Me and my sister are dedicated customers - never wavering from this great coffee roastery. With appreciation, each and every day from two happy customers.

Happy they’re recognizing and talking about the ethics of coffee. It’s not just a frivolous drink - it’s something that people get exploited for just so the every day North American can get a caffeine shot in the morning. All to all the complaining cis white males: maybe try walking a step in someone else’s shoes before opening in your mouth. Minorities (culture, gender identity, dis/ability) around the world are systemically at a disadvantage, with many experiencing race or gender-based violence every day - even here in Victoria. So, sorry not sorry that you felt slightly uncomfortable walking into a coffee shop; we feel this every moment of our lives. Dec 5 - came towards the end of the day. On a whim, got a cappuccino and holy cow - I don’t know what did the barista did but it was PERFECT. Most places there’s a clear separation between the espresso, milk, and foam, but this was perfectly mixed and balanced throughout with a wonderfully creamy foam (photo is a couple sips in because I couldn’t help myself)

Highly underrated place for coffee in victoria, serving a top notch flat white every time:) Im guessing a lot has changed since all those negative reviews, the baristas really know what they're doing

Poor Customer Service!!! The espresso was decent and I’m hoping to pull some incredible shots when I get home with the 4 pounds of beans I purchased. The negative energy and aloof attitude displayed by the female barista on Friday Dec. 17 was unacceptable. I understand covid is challenging people in many ways but it shouldn’t preclude the ability to be cordial and provide a basic level of customer service. There is also no shortage of ethical, quality roasters around, with exceptional staff and incredible single origin and blended roasts, so I won’t be recommending nor returning to Bows & Arrows anytime soon. I will also unfortunately be reminded of my negative experience when I’m grinding and pulling shots from these brands over the next few weeks. Update: Hathaway blend is nice and it dialled in easily but it will take a number of outstanding ristretto cortados to wash off the barista’s bad attitude.

Admittedly I was nervous visiting after reading the negative reviews. I purchase their excellent coffee beans online and wanted to experience it in person. My daughter and I were treated cheerfully and promptly and the coffee drink was better than all others I have purchased on this trip from the mainland. I will continue to be a customer from near and afar. Thank you!
