"Where to Find Cool Kitschy Things The weekly flohmarkt (flea market) in Friedrichshain's Boxhagener Platz is a popular spot where locals meet up for shopping, drinking, or just a bit of fun each Sunday. While the Mauer Park flea market gets most of the tourists, this one is far less touristy. You're much more likely to find a good deal on used books, cool T-shirts (some by local designers, even!), music records, and knickknacks. Because the market is relatively small, it's quite enjoyable to take a stroll through the stalls and then enjoy a picnic on the grassy area in the middle of the square. Many cafes and restaurants are situated on the streets bordering Boxhagener Platz so you won't be bored for things to do. The market is open Sundays during daylight. On Saturdays in the same area you'll find a fresh food & produce market."

Went to this park area to engage a Sunday of Vegan Activism with a Berlin-based Group called Animal Rights Squares. There was a big weekend market happening with all kinds of food, clothing and recycled goods for sale. It was a super busy event with thousands of people passing by, viewing the Actual Standard Industry footage on the TV screens from a Toutube Documentary called DOMINION, and then engaging outreach conversations. Many people woke up to the horrors of Animal Exploitation and decided there and then to live Vegan from now on. Some even wanted to fet invokved as Activists to help wake up others!

We were looking to visit a Saturday local flea market and was recommended this one! There were food, wine, booths, art and flowers! I would definitely recommend you to visit the local market on Saturday or Sunday! The time it opens differ for every market, so please check the opening hours prior to going!

I found Boxhagener Platz to be a perfect slice of Berlin life—especially on Sundays when “Boxi” turns into a lively flea market and a chill green hangout. Whether I was browsing for vintage treasures, grabbing a coffee at a local café, or just soaking up the creative vibe of Friedrichshain, the whole place felt relaxed and full of character. It's a great spot to experience the true spirit of the neighborhood.

Went to Boxhagener Platz on a Sunday when the flea markets were in operation. It was busy, but also very interesting and a great way to spend a couple of hours wondering around looking at the many stalls available. Plenty of food stalls and coffee options and a nice green area to sit if you want to take the weight off your feet after all the walking. A nice place, and recommended if you are in the area.

it's a lovely park and the kids are friendly with a fountain during summer. The park is surrounded by cool cafes, coffee shops and different cultures of restaurants. there is a good market on Saturday and the flea market on Sunday.
