This is also a Christmas tree farm, which is what we went to! We didn't rent a cabin but oh man, I totally want to next year! Boyd Mountain Christmas Tree farm is just outside of Waynesville, so when we were done getting our Christmas tree, we went into town for food and it's such a cute, quaint mountain town!! The farm is SO picturesque! There are SO MANY beautiful spots for fun pictures. People brought their dogs on leashes, there was a little pond with Adirondack chairs, a huge white tent with complimentary cookies and hot chocolate or hot cider, wreaths, swags, and kissing balls for sale, souvenirs, etc! AND to top it off, the most authentic, adorable Santa for the kids to sit with! The staff was so friendly and super helpful. My husband broke his ankle two weeks ago so traipsing around a steep mountain to find a tree was not going to be possible. One of the guys saw us and offered us a ride in their Polaris up to the top where we needed to go, so my husband was able to hang out on the trail and point out trees for us to check out! So awesome. Then, when I messed up the directions I was given and forgot to have someone cut the tree we picked out BEFORE we headed down the mountain to pay for it, the guys ran around and found it for me!! David saved our Christmas and thought the whole thing was terribly funny. We just totally loved the whole experience and can't wait to go back next year!!
