The Boynton Beach Mall opened in October 1985. Retail big wigs Burdines, JC Penney, Jordan Marsh and Lord & Taylor drew people in. As they faded out Macy's, Mervyn's, and Sears would go on to open anchor stores. Fast forward a few decades and the American mall is dying. In 30 years only minor repairs have been done to the mall. In the past few years, the Disney store, Dairy Queen, Mrs. Fields, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Bucca Di Beppo, Toojay's, Littman's Jewelers, and Sears, have all closed or relocated. In 2014 Christ Fellowship moved in. Higher income areas like Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington and Boca are attracting the shoppers away from Boynton Beach. Outlet malls like Palm Beach Outlets and Sawgrass Mills Mall are popular with shoppers looking to save money. I normally prefer to shop online but my daughter needed some back to school clothes so we headed out to her favorite store Hot Topic. I usually hate shopping there but the staff was friendly and the store was neat and organized. We ended up having a pleasant shopping experience. What is the future of the Boynton Beach mall? With 18 empty stores in 2018 they need to figure it out quickly. Trends have shown that shoppers gravitate towards a shopping destination. They want entertainment, stores, and food in one area. Right now some people are wary of visiting the Boynton Beach Mall because they don't feel it is safe. Future plans could see the mall evolve into a multi purpose building with offices, restaurants and retailers. Time will tell tell if Boynton Beach Mall can survive our online shopping preferences.

If they decided to restore the Boynton Beach Mall, this is how the three entrances could look, a much-needed update that would definitely do it some good. The current design gives off a dull and outdated vibe, especially with those unpleasant, almost depressing colors. A fresh renovation could completely transform the mall’s image, giving it a more modern, inviting look that better appeals to the public. It’s time the mall reflected the vibrant community it serves. Food court entrance, Northeast entrance and Southwest entrance.

I went here on a Saturday afternoon the mall was quite busy had lots of deals even though half of the stores are no longer in business like sears and Macy’s but stores like Dillards, jcpenny, and other stores had awesome clearance deals . One thing I wish this mall did would be rebuilding the mall from scratch with the train for the kids , macys , a store to replace sears bringing back the 3 fountains that they used to have and occupying every space for people to promote their business. With a grand opening . Other than that the mall brings a lot of memories and nostalgia

Horrible place do not go there. They speak Spanish in the front office so that they can scam you when you’re back in their office chair and you have no idea what they’re saying. The first time I went to them, they screwed me and told me I needed a special cleaning which I fell for ended. Since then, I have read many reviews stating that they do the same thing to all other clients as well. As you see recently, they’ve just been giving They don’t deserve any good reviews. I went there last October and waited a very long time to get my teeth cleaned and x-rays. Six months later I went back and had x-rays. I was told I needed a $200 cleaning before I could get my insurance to pay for my cleaning. The doctor won’t tell you that the doctor sends in the office workers to do their dirty work. Do not go here once again do not go here. I don’t even think they’re certified then I called my insurance company to tell them the situation and they lied to them. They told them that they fix cavities, but that is not the truth. they lied to me and told me I had two cavities but the truth, but that wasn’t the truth Because I had Invisalign and was seeing another dentist who had just previously filled a cavity for me the month before these people are unethical and don’t speak English and I understand most people here are on Medicaid and their legal immigrants so that’s probably why they fall for this bullshit

It’s really a shame the mall has so much potential and sits on a really good location. But it’s dilapidated and decrepit. The floors are filthy, the landscaping lacks basic care, many stores are closed, the food court doesn’t even have a lot chairs to sit on, the bathrooms are nasty…

Google
There is a crowded place. Lots of stores, good prices 👌 you can take public transport easily just behind this mall is a bus stop to north or south depends on you want to go, but is you prefer you can bring your car, please try of space no cost. I need more time here to enjoy 😉. I dont have photos yet but if I go again I'll take.

When I was there the food court has good restaurants. But once you start walking to the.bathrooms the smell was so bad. And what made it worse when you go to the bathroom it smell like someone had fun urning on the flood instead using the toilet.

Yelp
Taco Bell. HORRIBLE. Came a half hour after TACO BELL opened in the Food Court only to be told that they SOLD OUT of CRISPY CHICKEN NUGGETS when I went to order them. No reason for Menu Items being unavailable due to supply chain shortages during the Post-Pandemic era. AVOID.

Yelp
I grew up coming to this mall. The nostalgia I feel when being here definitely made me see this visit with rose colored glasses. There's not much here anymore. The typical shops and anchor stores still remain. The kids play place is still there, and the carousel I rode on as a child. It's no longer operating, but it was nice to see tucked away in the back of the mall in a corner that seems untouched by time. The shops that were open were warm and inviting. The food court is still open!

Yelp
I was in Boynton Beach and decided to check out this mall. The Boynton Beach Mall is an enclosed shopping mall with tenants that include Macy's, Dillard's Clearance Center, JCPenney, Christ Fellowship, Cinemark, and about many other specialty stores and eateries. The mall itself looked a bit tired but I have heard, they plan to revamp the mall. The proposed plan would include: 1,420 multifamily units. 400 hotel rooms. 629,000 square feet retail. ... 65,000 square feet of general offices. 65,000 square feet of medical offices. A 20,000-square-foot fitness center. 10,000 square feet of fast food restaurants. Hope this becomes a reality and brings back this shopping area, which is in a prime location.

Yelp
I recently decided to take the kids here for a quick walk around. All I can say is, wow, this mall is pretty sad. We usually go to the Town Center Mall in Boca which is actually a pretty great mall. It's got a lot of interesting shops, a very respectable food court and it always has a great amount of foot traffic. The Boynton Beach Mall on the other hand is like a ghost town. Upon entering, the first thing that struck me was the eerie silence and emptiness. It looked like they were three or four people in the entire mall. Numerous stores had closed down, leaving behind a sad trail of empty spaces. The remaining shops, to put it kindly, were more like B-league players rather than star attractions. It was clear that this mall had seen better days. The food court was also unimpressive and dated. They do have a Taco Bell and a Popeye's amongst other restaurants, but there wasn't a single person eating anywhere. Even though we were a little hungry, the overall vibe made us not want to sit and eat there. The lackluster ambiance in the food court and everywhere frankly was exacerbated by the dim lighting which cast a gloomy pallor over everything, quite the contrast to the Town Center Mall which is bright, light and airy. It was hard to shake the feeling of malaise that permeated the air and we all kind of felt that we wanted to leave shorty after arriving. To add to the already bleak atmosphere, there were quite a few odd characters hanging outside the entrances we used. I don't know what they were up to, but they definitely didn't seem like they were mall patrons. It was an unfortunate sight, but kind of made sense in the context of this crappy place. It also further cemented my decision to steer clear of this mall in the future. In conclusion, I cannot recommend the Boynton Beach Mall. With its empty storefronts, lackluster shops, and a food court that could use a serious makeover, it left much to be desired. Perhaps the only silver lining is that I can now use this mall as a deterrent if my kids misbehave. One day soon they're going to hear "Knock it off or else I'm gonna take you to the Boynton Beach Mall"...And it will probably be pretty effective!

Yelp
Sadly, this mall is having a hard time.... Retail has taken a hit from Covid and a number of store closings this year. Even before, however, this mall had been losing stores and visitors. We came a couple years back for a special event in their food court and once more people are out and about -- especially in this older residence demographic area -- they could come back if they get creative. It would be a perfect mall for outlets and discount stores to band together. Speaking of outlets, we came here to visit the Dillards Clearance Center in my search for a new flannel nightgown. You can tell by the parking lot, that this area of the mall is one of the bigger draws. The thing is they have a separate entrance from the parking lot -- so we didn't even venture into the rest of the mall to see what is still there. So, I'm hoping they can reinvent themselves some time in the future. It can happen (the Pompano Mall was dead before it was bought out and redesigned as the Pompano Citi Center).

Yelp
Unfortunately malls like this are closing or being revamped at great speed. For some this was a great visit for weekends and hanging out with friends, but our age is showing like this mall. We noted three larger stores, and appeared one is a Clearance (Dillards) center that is close to closing. You have to wonder if JcPenneys and Macys will stay until mall closes. You will find several unique stores that carry items that are not so easily found at 100 locations. One part of the mall is dark, almost closed, and has no retailers showing just how quickly it's past its prime. Even the food court is short in choices with Popeyes being the star, or perhaps that Taco Bell Kiosk. No fresh popcorn, but they have a vending machine. We did find Boba Tea for teens and they loved it. Nothing bad here to note ... just a time long gone in which likely we will find luxury apartments or other real estate taking over the large space. To bad it wasn't redesigned as an outside type outlet like Pompano and Coconut Creek. Wonder if theatre will remain ?? Those days of seeing movies and having fresh popcorn seem to be gone to streaming and other venues.

Ehhhhh .... Unless you are headed straight to footlocker and that's it , I wouldn't bother . This mall is dying

Yelp
DO NOT BUY FROM MADAME BRIDAL I ordered and received a Mac Duggal jumpsuit and it did not fit. I contacted Madame Bridal (very difficult to get ahold of) to ask for another size. This $400 dress is not being accepted for return one day after receiving it. They are simply a warehouse of merchants' products and DO NOT have any customer regard. The responses by email are automated and uncompromisable. Please do not order from this shoddy company, order directly from the manufacturer or a reputable store. Response from the owner a day ago Hi Jell, we regret that you feel this way about our family operated business since 1985 in the same location. Our store follows the designer's guidelines. We always encourage our customers to order their actual size rather than a size or 2 smaller in the hopes that by the time they wear the garment they will fit in it. We will take up your case with the designer Mac Duggal. If there is any leniency on their part we will send you a return authorization. My addendum for Madame Bridal's insulting response above: 1) You have already "reviewed" my complaint and answered me with an automated stock answer email denying any return. 2) The jumpsuit size was determined by the Mac Duggal size guide. Your comment that I ordered a smaller size in hopes it would fit is insulting and proves your poor customer service as well as your lack of integrity. 3) My name is Jill, not Jell. DO NOT BUY FROM MADAME BRIDAL (AN FLORIDA ONLINE COMPANY)! When customers look at other reviews, your customer service speaks for itself...you don't have any. Please just refund me for the jumpsuit and stop showboating in an effort to cover up your disgraceful business practices!

Yelp
I spent part of the day looking at malls as it's been awhile since I have had the opportunity to investigate. Boynton is sadly going through a downturn. Our country has forsaken malls for the for shopping on our phones. Boynton is trying to reinvent itself and hopefully it will succeed with community help. Dillards certainly has done a great job of presenting itself as a classy center for clothing and beyond. The stores that are open are trying to present themselves in the same manner but not all are succeeding. I was. Happy to see many other folks walking and shopping! The movie theater is open take advantage! Let's try to get back to being normal as much as you can.

Yelp
This mall has been here since the age of the dinosaurs This place is close to home, but has kind of gone down hill. For a lack of a better word, this place is considered by many as "ghetto." We witnessed a fight in the parking lot not too long ago. Other notes: Not a lot of foot traffic which is good and bad at the same time. Some good stores and some popular while some are unheard of lol. Just a decent place to kill time especially if you are waiting for the movies or want some Auntie Anne's !

Brain D.

Yelp
It's a dead mall. Almost no one there and the stores are not towers the trip. Only about a third is actually open at any time

Yelp
Update 11/15/17 Today I took a stroll around the mall with my five-month-old son--to my surprise a lady approached me said that she was looking for someone that fits my age range--I was thinking selected and offered the opportunity to be a part of the survey sharing my personal opinions about different products etc.--she then asked me if I had time and I checked on my son- looked at my phone for the time and since my son was comfy and happy I told her yes I would participate and what do next-the lady was very customer service experience savvy and pleasant to speak with --I completed the survey and received $ for my contribution of sharing my opinion.

Yelp
This mall is so dreary and totally needs either to be torn down and upgraded into a real mobile. It looks very ghetto when there.

Yelp
The Boynton Beach Mall is anchored by a few large department stores whose other locations have been slowly narrowing: JCPenney, Sears, Macy's. It features affordable stores and is unpretentious, unlike it's nearest counterparts to the North and West (the Gardens Mall and the Wellington Mall). You can clearance shop while still being in a mall feel. This particular Macy's location has an exclusive outlet store called, "Macy's Backstage." It also features a Dillard's Clearance Center, where treasures await if you can dig to find them. The Boynton Beach Mall still shows its roots; it's keeping the 80s alive for future filmmakers everywhere. Instead of being torn down like the Palm Beach Mall, the Boynton Beach Mall has tried to re-invent itself; a brand-new Cinemark was added in the last 10 years or so. I have to admit that I don't venture far into the inner workings of any mall if I can help it, so I mostly just stick to darting into one of the big box stores when I need to. There is always ample parking!

Yelp
Today I came up for the Specialty Food Hall. This was a great attraction to what I would call a "B" mall. All of the basic mall stores are here which will meet most of my shopping needs. I did see a few empty storefronts and it was not as new and "shiny" as others but functional. I hope I don't sound like a snob but I understand why they would hold events... it is a great way to bring in new customers. Lastly, there was plenty of parking which is a plus in my book. Happy shopping!
google avatar

Sol M.

Yelp
If you know the area and you know the mall then you know what you're going to get. Not the greatest mall around, actually the only mall around. Place feels more like a flea market, with some of the vendors having fold-out tables and cloths over them. Some of the stores are only available at this mall unless you drive to Boca or Wellington. So if you want, let's say a Victoria secret, this is where you can. It's a bit ghetto though. From the parking lot all the way in. I probably wouldn't come here after dark. I can't see this place lasting too many more years.

Yelp
DO NOT GO TO T-SHIRT STATION at Boynton Beach Mall. The lady who works there it's VERY RUDE and UN-POLITE. They give us two kids t-shirt size by mistake and we tried to change them by adult size t-shirts. We tried to explain the lady that she made a mistake but instead of changing the t-shirt she went ballistic and started shouting to us, very rude person; she blame us by her mistake. ZERO CUSTOMER CARE ZERO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
google avatar

Yelp
Not a fan of this very dreary mall. Lots of tacky stores and the facilities are a bit run down. I did like the Dillard's Clearance center so I will be back for that but not much else.
google avatar

Gabriella G.

Yelp
This mall has become a total ghost town. I remember when it was busy packed with people. Now, it is just an empty mall that only houses employees working that the stores. This mall is empty all the time. I have found some great deals, sales and clearance items at some of the stores here. But, when my favorite Brazilian Bikini Store left this mall... my heart sank as well. Bottom line: you can find great deals here, parking is a breeze because the mall is empty all the time, and you can shop in-noticed.

Regina M.

Yelp
This poor place reminds me of a mall from the 80s. Poor selection of stores coupled with a lame food court. It's really sad to see a place that could have so much potential.

Sherry L.

Yelp
This is such a great location. It is a disappointing shopping experience. It's outdated and aside from Macy's there is nothing worth seeing here. Others must feel the same way, because anytime I go there, there is no one there.

Yelp
DO NOT GO TO T-Shirt Station!!! Complete waste of time and money. They will mess up your order and argue with you about them messing it up. They are unorganized and VERY RUDE!!!!

Yelp
I remember in middle school this mall was the place to hangout. Somehow I was entertained week after week and always coming home with a bag of stuff. Now when I come back and visit, it's just a momentary distraction while I await a movie to start next door. This might be a teens paradise. Every store seems to cater to items in Seventeen magazine but everything else is lacking. The few boutiques offer ratchet club-wear that involves some form of pleather or spandex. Victoria Secret no longer sexy - now it's bubblegum pink and purple with a lot of writing on the butt of underwear and highlighter color pushup bras. Macy, Dillards, Express, New York & Company, Aldo and a handful of other stores provide some maturity. But it has developed in the area for younger children with the train that goes through the mall and the play pen area filled with screaming kids and depressed parents. I was extremely thankful for that area one trip when I deciding to take both my niece and nephew to the mall after giving them ice cream cones and sugar pretzels. That's what aunt's due. Clean bathrooms and decent service from most employees but this place just feels like it will die out. A few nail and hair salons scattered about but still an old - and young feeling mall. A weird Peter Pan vibe like it not letting this place develop and grow. Even for a weekend close to the holidays it still remained emptier then I would image. It's okay.

Erika L.

Yelp
Horrible experience. Ruined my son's trip to legoland. Came in with longer hair, left with not a professional hair cut and no hair. He was crying. Jcpeney hair style

Yelp
What makes today's visit to this mall is the Food Court Event Inside the mall that we first read about last week and again this week in the Sunsentinel and Julie forwarded me a reminder from the New Times. So, it's noon time, lunch time and we are ready to explore! We Wales around inside to check out the vendors. A sample of the Shrimp and Grits from the Purple Shrimp peaked our interests. We walked around to see other offerings and since we both enjoy Cajun fare, we returned to The Purple Shrimp. Only one Grouper left they offered to cook some fresh and for us. While waiting for the fried grouper and cheese grits we were given a sample of their MEAT filled Gumbo to sample. We also tried their Bourbon Bread pudding. I'm not normally a fan of Bread Pudding, but have to admit this was quite good. After we both finished our fried Grouper and Grits dishes I asked where #The Purple Shrimp might be found next. The proprietor gave me one of their cards advising that they are no longer at the 11th Street location downtown WPB, but are regulars at the # Green Market of Clematis Street in downtown WPB. Julie and I will be seeking them out again for a chance to try their: Gumbo, Shrimp 'n Grits Po' Boys and more of that Brown Butter Bourbon Bread Puddin'. You can see their menu @The Purple Shrimp South Florida on Facebook or text your delivery order to 5613862303.

Yelp
Walking into Boynton Beach Mall (BBM) is like walking into a time warp and being sent back to 1989. That's not a good thing. With all the different places on Congress to do your shopping for all things clothes, jewelry, electronics, and more, let alone online juggernauts like Amazon.com, you would think BBM would try to offer an outlet that provides for all of the above. Unfortunately, it does not. It doesn't help that the mall has a creepy vibe where you wonder whether you're going to be abducted. It's like the dark side of the movie, Mallrats. The interior is grossly outdated. It feels at times as if you're walking through an abandoned mall where a family of cannibalistic serial killers hides in one of the available retail spaces before you get to Sears, ready to kill and eat you... or the cult that could be lurking behind the coffee house. Granted, I don't feel like I'm going to get mugged, but I also don't feel like this is the place I want to hang out at either. There's something unsettling about this mall where you just want to go for what you came to get and leave. Growing up, when you went to the mall, it was a fun place to go. Not here. It doesn't help that there are several retail spaces that are currently available with no sign that anything else is moving in. Anytime I've entered the mall through JC Penney's, it's hard not to notice that Dillard's is always closed - at least it seems that way. While there are a couple of pros to going to BBM - FYE, Spencer's and Tate's to name three (why this doesn't get a one star)... Ok, and Popeyes is also there, this is vastly outnumbered by the cons. Too many open retail spaces, too many stores closing down, outdated interior, weird vibes. Best going up to Palm Beach Lakes Outlets.

Yelp
How many malls do you know that you cannot buy a burger or a slice of pizza? That kind of says it all for this once hopping mall that is fading fast. You would think the management would at least keep the air conditioning on to a comfortable level but they do not. At the far end by the merry go round I don't think the A/C is even on. I walk this mall for exercise all the time and many of the store employees complain how warm it is. The food court is now down to salty Chinese, greasy fried chicken and some fruit drink places. They do have a Sakura and Charley's Cheesesteaks which aren't bad. A lot of food places have closed due to lack of customers. So basically you have Macys and JC Penny where they seem to have their own A/C to keep everyone comfortable. Then there are a bunch of nail and hair places to choose from. Outside of these it is sad to walk buy the other stores where you never see much traffic. It is only a matter of time before this mall becomes residential with some stores that will interest the locals.
google avatar

Dave H.

Yelp
Sort of an older style small mall anchored by a Sears, Macy's, JC Penny's and a bunch of going-out-of-business and empty storefronts, restrooms located far down a long dark hallway, lighting was out, none of the escalators went anywhere, the central court fountain was dry . . . there are about 20 kiosks doing business, a decent sized food court, several very odd but fun central kiosks for kids, but the whole place seems poised for failure and/or imminent closure. Hopefully they can turn it around. They just hosted a car show with a beer garden... more of that, please!

Leticia M.

Yelp
This place is just in a horrible state and it gets worse by the day. The parking lot looks abandoned with just a few cars, I imagine that from the employees. Then inside every store smells like old (except for Bath and Body works). There are buckets throughout the place collecting water that filters from the roof. The employees are rude and everyone looks like they are forced to work there. The kids area have no toys, literally only 3 things. The carousel closed on a Saturday. Would you close it already?! Make it an IKEA store!!!

Yelp
Worst mall -extremely outdated empty Come on Boynton Beach... upgrade redevelop ANYTHING! A church replaced the anchor (weird) Even the popcorn store closed The stores carry 1/8 of product of the traditional anchors Go to Wellington or Boca or Palm Beach lakes outlet mall

Yelp
I really like this mall. The size of it is just right to me, it's a mid size only one floor. Some of the bigger malls I get lost in ..lol The flagship stores do have a second floor. This mall has just about everything you need. You can get anything from shoes to a workout. The flagship stores are sears, jcpenny and macys. The is also alot of smaller stores like h&m , hot topic, foot locker, hallmark just to name a few. The food court is a nice size and the staff keeps it very clean. They have popeyes , subway , kelly's cajun grill to name a few. There is also a too jay's that is away from the food court. The movies is in a separate building in the front of the mall. That building in newer they built about 5 year ago. The sears tire center is also in a separate building. I'm sure you can guess this part but, I will tell you anyway. The parking lot is huge.. lol All in all a great mid size mall.

Yelp
The boynton beach mall is pretty decent. I like this mall but then I don't love this mall. The stores are few, the inventory is less compared to volume stores. If you are in a mission and trying to get one or two things you might be in luck. However, I don't think you can spend more than a few hours (30 min-2 hours) in this mall. Things I do like about this mall: * it's convenient from where I live, * they have my eyebrow threading place I go to which is a store front * they have a huge coffee shop in the middle of the mall (not Starbucks) * movie theater across from the mall (cinemark) * A few departmental stores and small local business stores etc. Overall it's a good neighborhood mall but I wouldn't drive out of my way to come shopping.

Yelp
This mall has been by far the worst "mall" I've ever been to. Like many have stated before there are many closed down shops and the selection that they have is sad. It's really run down in there and it seems like the air conditioning never works. I've taken my child to the "play area" which consisted of barely anything compared to the Wellington mall and the heat was unbearable. Not much of a selection in the food court either. This place is a last resort honestly ‍
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Boynton Beach Mall is not the biggest, the brightest, or the best... But it works. Well stocked anchor stores, a decent food court, several "real" restaurants surrounding it, a movie heater, indoor playground and an Orange Julius make it worth a short drive.
google avatar

Yelp
They have a Macy's and Dillard's, the only upscale stores. A JC Penney's and the traditional other mall stores. There is a Cinemark theater on an out parcel.

It has lots of parking and I saw security driving around plus it's next to a busy cinema. The malls older but it had a nice selection of stores and the food court had a lot to choose from. It was clean and I saw security walking around. Didn't seem very busy but lots of cars in the parking lot. You could find everything you would want to buy in the mall. Nice selection of stores

Yelp
This mall sucks. I would rather take the drive to Wellington mall where the stores are much better and much nicer to walk around in. There's barely any decent stores left here- more than half the mall is vacant. Most of the mall is run down and the one side of the mall smells musky and moldy. This mall should just get knocked down and built over completely or a complete face lift. Save yourself and go to the Boca or Wellington Mall.

Yelp
Um... I don't really like this mall... it always seems a bit uninviting. The Macy's, New York and Company and Express are the only stores that I typically go to. Has a variety of vendors in between the stores and they tend to be a bit pushy and persistent... which I can understand but still... @ the end of the day, it has a Macy's, New York and Company and Express so its an option if you're ever in a bind and want to check these stores out.

Yelp
This mall has downgraded so much if I need something quick I'll come here because it's convenient but unfortunately there's not many stores open. It's declined a lot during the last 10 years and I wouldn't be surprised if one day it's gone.

Yelp
JC Penny - in style salon.. what a joke. I was there with my boyfriend because he gets his hair cut by the same girl (Elizabeth, who is absolutely fabulous and nice), I will never go back. The women at the front desk were completely unprofessional and rude to everyone they called. They would talk nasty about the customers they were calling making snide jokes about them cancelling or changing appointments - saying they couldn't afford stuff and talking about their appearance and other rude stuff... These old hens clucking at the front desk making the business look trashy. Hire some better help. The front desk is a big problem.

Yelp
Kind of ghetto. But has your basic stores. Express and H&M are really the only places I go to here. All the department stores like Macy's and Sears. Movie Theater. Enough to get by. But if you want the full shopping experience, go to Boca Town Center.

Yelp
I used to go to this mall a lot but it kept getting worse and worse. The mall was empty a lot and its sad because it used to be such a good mall and packed with a bunch of people now hardly anyone is in there. A lot of stores are closing like the Disney store. Would much rather drive to the Town Center at Boca Raton.

Yelp
Very average mall in all ways. All of the staple stores and store types. No frills or fancy stores. Great for kids with bungee jump and motorized animal rides area. Walkways aren't cramped. Good selection of restaurants and food court options. If you want fancy and frills, go to Boca Town Center or CityPlace. If you want to get in/get out or a lower cost option, come here.

Yelp
If I could kill two birds (I would never) with one stone, I would like for this review to be for the Boynton Beach Mall as well as the Coral Square Mall because they are exactly alike. Simon Malls can ever be beautiful (Town Center) or they can be what I like to call LCDs (lowest common denominators). Sure, maybe location has a lot to do with but there are nice looking malls in some less desirable areas. Save that excuse for some lily white corporate monkey cuz I ain't buying that. The Boynton Beach Mall reminds me of the movie Judgement Night, you know the movie with Jeremy Piven pre-wigs? Anyways, it's dark, depressing and desolate. I am fully convinced people go here to die or people leave this mall thinking about dying. There are your common mall stores here, the lone-standing FYE music store that still sells CD's for $17.99 as if anyone these days pays for music. How are they even around with those prices? Then you have the Foot Action, Foot Lockers, Champs and Finishline because you really can't have enough sneaker stores selling the same low quality Jordan brand sneakers that really belong on the racks of Marshalls. It has those gaudy clothing stores that appeal to, well lets just say people you wouldn't normally associate with. The food court has places that constantly come and go, but not Orange Julius. That is an oldie but goodie in my book. Popeyes recently replaced Chick-Fil-A but have no fear there is actually a Chick restaurant across the street. The mall has potential because a lot of people are moving to Boynton because prices are significantly less, but the mall hasn't caught on yet. It still caters to the Cocoon crowd or the uninspired meanders of the world. This mall is great for one reason, it makes people like me truly appreciate the Town Center Mall. Boca maybe full of pretentious douches and has become a phoney plastic world, but when you're in the mall you know you got some great options. You know it's thoroughly clean and now thoroughly protected. I can't say the same for the Boynton Beach Mall. It is the Kings Point of Malls without a doubt.

Yelp
I probably prefer to do the window shopping at this mall more than Town Center Mall in Boca and the Wellington Green Mall in Wellington as it's small, has good select stores, and "quiet". We have Macy's, Express, NY & Co, Sephora in JCPenney (just opened earlier this year), Yankee Candle, and my favorite "hippie" store, Nativa. They used to have Chick-Fil-A in the food court but now it's been replaced by Popeye's. :( They have: Wet Seal Rue 21 Body Central American Eagle Victoria's Secret Charlotte Russo Express NY & Co Macy's JCPenney Dillard's (had 2 stores, one is completely closed down and the other is in the process of closing with deeply discounted clothing and items with no-returns policy in effect) Sears Cache Lane Bryant Nativa Bath & Body Works Sephora (inside JCPenney's) Yankee Candle Claire's Spencer's Journey's Bijou Brigette Aeropostale Disney Payless Rack Room ... that's all I can think of right now. Oh, there's a kiddie train that goes around inside the mall, so watch out for the train! :) Adults can ride, too. Security isn't much of an issue for me as I don't ever go to the mall late at night by myself and park where there are a lot of people which is usually by the food court entrance- the right side of JCPenney so you can be in view of a lot of people if anything was to happen. There are security guys who patrol the outside in the parking lots every 10-15 minutes and also some more that are on segways inside the mall. However, there are annoying guys outside of the food court entrance trying to convince you to buy windshield insurance or something like that. I always ignore them and there are even more annoying people when you enter inside trying to get you to do a survey or to sign up for online courses with an online college.... I have my bachelors- and for the 100th time, LEAVE ME ALONE. The other malls may have *more* stores ranging from Delia*s (Wellington) to Anthropologie (Boca), but I find that these malls make me overwhelmed and give me a headache! lol

Yelp
I been coming to this mall for close to 10 years now and year after year it gets worse and worse. Attractions gone, stores closing down, it just seems like its being run down. Wish they put some better stores here so that it starts attracting more people. If this keeps up they wont last much longer. Its becoming a depressing place to go to. Even the food court options diminished.

Yelp
Unless you're here to buy shoes or get a pretzel, there's nothing much else to do here. There's a coffee shop at the church. The food court is nearly unchanged. There's less and less stores open. The owners of this mall obv don't care and can't do a damn thing to get new business in here. How is this mall still open? No game store or arcade. Crappy Chinese buffet. Still a damn good movie theater and a gym, but there's nothing for the average teenager to do here but walk around and buy a weak taco. This mall needs to be rescued... So many more stores are not renewing their lease after this year...

Yelp
Do not feel safe looking at customers coming and me going here. A bit low brow crowd, many places closed, police presence obvious everywhere. Many nicer places to shop. Won't be back anytime soon.
