Co-op was billed as a place I can pick up food quickly, have a salad or hot food and not wait. So I walked over and it was all that. It is a self-serve place, with some dry goods, drinks, alcohol and canteen style seating for those who wish to dine on-premises.
The shop specializes in healthier and organic food and non-mainstream brands.
There are containers of different sizes and one puts food, salad or soup into the size of choice, which will get weighed at the cash with hot food obviously being more expensive than the others.
So far, so good.
Unfortunately, the food was not good. It was not abysmal, but was not good or great. Admittedly, I was late for lunch and the food in the respective trays may have sat there for a while. If so, that also speaks for itself.
They have soups, a salad bar, hot food and refrigerated items and I had a piece of chicken, Korean kimchi and a juice. The food was bland in one case and very salty in another. The kimchi was suspiciously brown and certainly did not taste authentic. The fried cauliflower was fine except there was again too much salt.
Prices are average and the dine-in area was relatively clean, but I took my food out.
Options include mac and cheese, chicken, beans and so forth.
