BP Chiang Mai City Hotel

This is a great place for the price. I stayed in the “boutique rooms” that are a bit larger and have a full table/desk and loungey-like window cushion to lay or sit on. I stayed here for nearly three weeks. No complaints. The lobby is quite beautiful and comfortable and the location is perfectly located. I’ve stayed in many places in center city as well as far outside downtown. If you expect a high-end, luxury experience then simply go somewhere else and spend 2x-3x the money. Trust me the larger boutique rooms are very reasonably priced. This place was so good I re-booked and extended 3 times back to back.

If you want an inexpensive hotel conveniently located and don’t care about anything else this is your place. Rooms were large and ours came with a complimentary hunk of hair in the shower. Maid service is spotty. Hot water works if you don't turn the cold water on. Nice pool but couldn't use as the entire area smelled like diesel. Breakfast eggs made in advance and laid out on non heated trays, overcooked and ice cold, served in dining area that looked like a school cafeteria.

We stayed at BP Chiang Mai City Hotel and had a pleasant experience. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with spacious rooms and a quiet atmosphere. Its location is excellent, right in the Old City and close to temples, markets, and restaurants. Staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay. A good value choice for travelers wanting to explore Chiang Mai.

After reading the other reviews on this place I was concerned I was walking into a nightmare so I arrived with an open mind expecting the worst. Is it a high end luxury hotel? No, but the room was spacious and functional. There were a couple of superficial issues like the curtains were ripped and not hanging properly but still worked fine, the room was clean but could definitely use a deep clean as some of the furniture was a bit dusty. The mattress is firm as per most Thai hotels but overall we had a comfortable 4 day stay, it was quite and in a great location close to restaurants, massage places and shops with a 7/11 a 5 min walk away. The hotel could definitely use a little more care and attention but I’m my personal opinion I think it lives up to its 3 star rating

We booked to stay at this hotel after seeing the pictures of it on trip and thinking it looked nice.To start with the pros, the lobby and the rooms in the hotel are big and spacious and it has got a grand feel to it, the pool area is also a nice touch to the hotel and I did enjoy sitting in the sun at the pool. The air con in the rooms also works very well providing the size of the room. The location is also great right in the middle of chiang mai with lots of brilliant restaurants and massage parlours down the street and nearby.Now for the cons, the hotel is very dated and this shows in the rooms and the lobby, although I can see they have started to modernise, it still feels old.The room was very dirty when we arrived and I don’t think the cleaners really done much at all whilst we was there. The walls are very thin and we could here the rooms next door and also building work that was happening outside that would start at 8am (Not the hotels fault but still wasn’t great for our stay) Overall for the price it was a handy base for our short stay but I can’t say I would stay again.

The room is big . But only with 2 bathing towels. We requested a smaller facial tower. But the answer is no. The reply that our room type do not have this type of towels. But if we pay more to upgrade to a deluxe room then the room type will be included . That means you have to use bathing towel to wash your face. One time we received a very old towel and with no white in colour. The breakfast is poor.

The room was spacious and the location was good. The breakfast was simple. The room was old, and the door made a loud noise when it was closed. We could also hear the sound of other people’s doors closing. Early check-in is not available.

The hotel was in a good location, and we appreciated having access to a pool and a small gym. The staff were helpful, and it was reassuring to have someone at the reception 24/7. However, the hot water wasn’t very hot, and the cleanliness of the room was disappointing—we found toenails on the floor.
