We booked to stay at this hotel after seeing the pictures of it on trip and thinking it looked nice.To start with the pros, the lobby and the rooms in the hotel are big and spacious and it has got a grand feel to it, the pool area is also a nice touch to the hotel and I did enjoy sitting in the sun at the pool. The air con in the rooms also works very well providing the size of the room. The location is also great right in the middle of chiang mai with lots of brilliant restaurants and massage parlours down the street and nearby. Now for the cons, the hotel is very dated and this shows in the rooms and the lobby, although I can see they have started to modernise, it still feels old.The room was very dirty when we arrived and I don’t think the cleaners really done much at all whilst we was there. The walls are very thin and we could here the rooms next door and also building work that was happening outside that would start at 8am (Not the hotels fault but still wasn’t great for our stay) Overall for the price it was a handy base for our short stay but I can’t say I would stay again.
