The 20 Best Beaches in Croatia, From Dubrovnik City Spots to Hidden Coves on Brač

"A quiet pebbly beach with just a couple of small bars and restaurants, and a little dock on the side for boat arrivals. Climbers are drawn to the steep hills just behind and a small, secret cave in one of the coves nearby Pokrivenik is often explored by divers for the rainbow-colored sea sponges that inhabit it. Insider's tip: There’s another cave nearby, 65 feet above sea level, called Badanj, where remains from the Neolithic period have been found." - Jane Foster, Rick Jordan

One of the nicest islands in Croatia! Much less crowded than Hvar and Korcula and very easily accessible from Split. Great options for food and drinks and the beaches are stunning.

Brac Island is a stunning destination in Croatia that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. The island's picturesque landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and charming villages make it a must-visit for any traveler. One of the highlights of Brac is the famous Zlatni Rat beach, with its unique shape and pristine sand. It's a great spot for sunbathing, swimming, and windsurfing. The beach is well-maintained and offers various amenities, including sunbeds, umbrellas, and nearby cafes. The island's interior is equally captivating, with lush greenery, vineyards, and olive groves. The town of Bol is a delightful place to explore, with its narrow streets, historic buildings, and vibrant waterfront. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the Dominican Monastery and the Bol Marina. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are plenty of hiking and biking trails that offer breathtaking views of the coastline and the Adriatic Sea. The Vidova Gora mountain, the highest peak in the Adriatic islands, provides a challenging but rewarding hike with panoramic vistas. The local cuisine is another highlight of Brac. Fresh seafood, locally produced olive oil, and delicious wines are some of the culinary delights you can enjoy at the island's restaurants and taverns.Overall, Brac Island is a paradise for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and those looking to relax in a beautiful setting. It's a place that will leave you with unforgettable memories and a longing to return.

Beautiful island with resplendent colors. it is a large island with many different places to explore, many different cities that one explore in separate regions of the island. I was here for a period and enjoyed the peace in nature, however if you want more of the lively aspects, that is also available here.

Amazing island with so many things to do! Surprisingly not expensive and a lot of variety. Explore the island because you can find amazing people, food and drinks. But be aware of places in center which are just for turists, stretch your legs and you will find so many hidden activities and restaurants. But if you want peace you have that as well. Have fun
