Brackenridge Park

Nice city park with trails & the river cuts right through the center of the park. They have restrooms conveniently placed at the center of the park. I also saw police officers patrolling the park. People were bbq’ing & others were walking their dogs. Some people were even fishing. Overall, it’s a nice Central Park located just north of downtown. Plenty of events at this location as well. Overall, if you like nature but don’t like traveling too far from the city, brackenridge park is a great option.

A peaceful and picturesque spot with beautiful waterfalls, koi ponds, and stone pathways. It’s free to visit and great for photos. The only downside is that it can feel a little busy and crowded at popular times, which takes away from the quiet atmosphere. Best enjoyed early in the morning or on weekdays.

Great place to take a walk or picnic . They have a stream also that runs through the park and saw a few fisherman fly fishing. Close.to San Antonio Zoo and they have small train as well with kids riding around the park.

We went to the park at 9am on a Friday and it was very quiet with people walking and jogging around. We took our dog there and the geese weren't phased when we walked by. We could only walk around the park for about 30 mins. The neighborhood is a very quiet place as well. I recommend visiting

Breckenridge Park is very beautiful and quite large. The park connects and encompasses several different historical sites and venues like the San Antonio Zoo, Kiddie Park, the train ride, a softball field, and the Japanese Tea Gardens. The playground across from the Softball field is currently closed although it looks fine from afar but a sign says it won't open until Oct 2026. That is over a year away and seems excessively long to have the current playground closed.

Beautiful as always nice place to walk and see the views and the koi fish plus waterfall! Great place to take photos too ! Parking a bit crowded for weekends tho .

The entrance is free, but there are so many people that you’ll most likely have to park on the side or farther away. There are portable restrooms outside, and inside there are regular restrooms. You can simply go and enjoy nature and take photos.

There is a zoo, a Japanese garden, a golf training ground and other facilities here. It is quite large and suitable for relaxation.
