The cheapest accommodation in PEI, and it’s reasonably priced. If you were homeless, this hotel would be comfy. The photos are totally fake. When I arrived at the hotel, I realized I had made a big mistake. When I got the front door, there were 3 spiders - one was even on the door knob. I was really shocked when I opened the bathroom door. You can find the photos attached. After one night, I got more than 10 mosquito bites. They were super strong. When I held my phone, I felt something poke my pinky finger with a needle, but it was a mosquito. Never save your money by staying at this hotel. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER. I really regret not checking the reviews here.

BEWARE. Please do not stay here till they burn it to the ground and rebuild it. If you are traveling as a woman alone - you are not safe. If you are traveling as a family - camping in a tent would be 100% better. My partner and I tried to stay here for all but an hour- we left and booked a sweet airbnb cottage. The place is an unsafe dump - complete with bugs, holes in the ceiling, carpets covered in layers of dust, and strange people. Do not even consider this place. I’ve stayed in hostels and camped my whole life. This is beyond gross and unsafe.

I see a lot of 1 star reviews. Yes this is not 5 star accomodation. It's a budget hostel. One of the cheapest places to stay in the province. Great for a family on a budget or groups to share the cost of a room. Rooms can sleep 6. Kitchen has everything you need to make a decent meal. Games room has a pool table, table tennis etc. Lounge is large with large TV. Location is close to the beach and 20 mins from charlottetown. Rooms are clean with towels. Mattress is comfy. Plenty of showers with consistent hot water. And the place is quiet for a hostel unless people bang doors. Gary (Yaqing) is usually here I believe 12-5pm and is very approachable and helpful, although experienced hostel goers shouldn't need their hands held, he's there for you if you need him. As far as hostels go this isn't bad. We're on a work trip and I've stayed in way worse on my work and holiday travels, in places with worse facilities. Only complaint I have is the garbage in the kitchen could be a bit bigger. Giving it 5 stars to make up for the unfair 1 stars. Probably give it 3 and a half to 4 due to value for money, location and having everything you need. Deducting for it being a little rough round the edges.

This Hostel is worse than you can ever imagine. Do not book it. As a family we had 7 members, 1 elderly and 1 baby. The bathrooms were horrendous and there were several broken compartments. The Bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. Our room had 8 bunks in total. These were horrible they creaked at the slightest movement and the were very low so elderly would often times bump there head onto the higher bunk. We decided that there was no possible way we could stay for 2 nights so we convinced the staff (which was only one man and a manager) to get a better room. We eventually got one with four bunks and a queen size bed. I can't describe how bad this was even with a better room. • Cockroaches all over the place • An Odor •Horrible bunks that were broken+ creaking •Duck tape all over the place covering cracks in the wall •A kitchen with 2 seats • All this for an average price $200 This did not meet my expectations in any way. Worst of all is the safety. Our room did not consist of a smoke detector. Our first room did not even consist of a lock. Whatever you do, do not book this place you will regret it.

Not a bad distance from Charlottetown. However that is the only good thing about this hostel. Prior to booking an airbnb reservation for this place for 7 people, we asked Gary, the owner/manager if there would be a lock for the room, and it was confirmed that there would be for our safety. Upon arriving at the location, the room did not have a lock on it. And when confronting the owner/manager, they placed the blame on not visiting the location since May of 2022, so therefore they weren't sure if there would be a lock on the room door or not. Gary also stated that the room was reserved for "strange people", which I can only translate to "strangers/random people" so therefore a lock wasn't necessary. Remember, this is after confirming the information and our booking through airbnb. In addition to this security issue, the building was lackluster in every aspect. Washrooms and showering quarters were not maintained and we could barely see anything in there due to the poor/lack of lighting. The bunk beds and bedsheets felt dirty upon touch, that was the severity of the lack of cleanliness. There was an abundance of insects crawling all over the floor and hiding in the crevasses in the bunk beds. The owner/manager then told us that because of the location, it was perfectly fine and that we were only raising concerns because we were "not truthful people". After that uncalled for insult, Gary demanded us to leave the property, leaving us with no where to stay for the night. Luckily we found a hotel in PEI with vacancies which cost us $650/room for the night... Do not bother with this place. Reserve a better place in advance, not worth the trouble of finding last minute, almost extortionate priced alternatives.

We stayed for 2 nights in room #10. This room was on the third floor and shared the floor with only one other room. Unfortunately the people in the other room were really loud and left their door open as they noisily prepared for their day and used the shared washroom. It would have been great otherwise, so I guess it just depends on who you end up sharing the floor with! The rooms and shared bathroom were really clean and the staff are really really friendly and helpful! They directed us to food, beaches, laundry and gave us all kinds of useful tips! The bed had a bit of a tough mattress, but to be expected from a hostel. Overall, we were happy with our accommodations. Two quick recommendations though - #1 bring earplugs in case you get stuck with floormates like we did!! and #2 get to the kitchen early if you want to eat - the kitchen is really small and it seemed like everyone was preparing their food at the same time.. there was a huge lineup for using the coffee machine and everyone was standing around waiting to access the toaster, sink, microwave, etc. If you get to the kitchen around 7:30, you'll be ok!

You get what you pay for. The beds were very uncomfortable and squeaky. My kids thought it was a fun adventure as they got to sleep in bunk beds; however the adults were pretty miserable. Too many people expected to sleep in such a small space. I get that it's a hostel but it was beyond tiny. We were traveling with a baby and we used our room garbage for diapers and other items thinking that the staff would be emptying them. They should be more upfront that they are not cleaning the rooms during your stay because we got ants within a few hours. Or perhaps they should inform families of where the best garbage disposal area is. We were not informed of this. Games room was fun for the kids and we took advantage of the outdoor badminton. Ice cream place in front on the road was fun. Teenagers at the front desk were rather indifferent and on their phones when you first walked in. All in all, I would not stay here again.

This place is a dump. My standards are pretty low/flexible but this place was just nasty. When I arrived all the doors were propped open even though it was chilly + raining - I later realized this was due to the smell of mold. In the evening I had to wear my coat + boots inside as it was so cold (no heaters worked). There was a thick layer of dust on the carpets. Also there was an excessive amount of dead earwigs in my room, which I almost let slide until I inspected my bed and found plenty of bodies + two live ones. I left at 10pm as it was too nasty to sleep in.
