Bradford Camps

Right on the shores of Munsungan Lake, very nice setting. The drive up is fantastic. The lake is nice, however, we found that all the good fishing is done at the camp end of the lake (inlet), thus we did not find any "hot" fishing spots at other locations on the lake. If you're into fishing - its good, lots of salmon and trout and if you're into nature, its great as well. There is also an old growth forests in the area. Igor does a good job keeping the camps original and the grounds pristine. Costs were higher compared to similar camps in Maine.

Beautiful place that we have enjoyed for many years. Unfortunately, the place has lost its charm for us. The fishing is o.k. it was better the first three trips we made. The staff turnover has made it challenging for Igor and Karen, but with that the service has diminished. Our last trip in, we were unable to fly due to heavy rain so we got a motel that night in Millinockett and then drove in the next day. We no sooner got there and we were told our Guide was ready. We hadn't even unpacked. We definitely felt rushed. Balancing services with respect of people's trips into the camp should have been more thoughtful. The services in general have declined over the recent years as well. They are pricey, our last trip we were expected to pay for the guides lodging, on top of the daily rate, which we had not had to do previously. In years before that, they had help who would come on and make your bed and tidy up for you, so you could get out fishing, that does not happen anymore. On our last day there after a weeks stay, they used to send us off... down the road for our 6 hour drive...with a lovely brown bagged lunch which they don't do either anymore. Truly beautiful place, but we felt a pretty significant energy shift since they decided to sell. For us, we have moved on. Karen and Igor are truely knowledgeable about this pristine area, and congenial hosts.

I have been to many Maine Fish Camps. All are lovely in their own right. This is the FIRST 5 star fish camp I have had the pleasure of visiting. The cabins are spotless. The food healthy and varied. (Thank you, Julianna, your home baked bread is unparalleled) The grounds meticulous. Much assistance from Chad. And then the rest of the work is Igor and Karen. Family owned. Family run. Beautiful balance of fishing, and relaxing, and enjoying the absolute quiet and beauty .......the best Maine has to offer.

We have been to Bradford Camps on family vacations several times. The staff is outstanding; the cabins are immaculately clean (and have running water!); the food is good home-cooking and plentiful; the fishing is good. What more could you ask for? Maybe great hiking and kayaking. boating and birding. This is a perfect place to get away from it all.

Best vacation ever. Igor and Karen |Are the best!!!! You probably couldn’t find a more beautiful place than this. It is remote and relaxing but couldn’t be more pampered. All the meals were delicious and homemade. Went with my husband son and grandson who is 12 and he didn’t want to come home.

We have been coming here for about 17 years, although we usually don’t do repeat vacations!|This is a wonderful place to vacation if you like the outdoors and want to get away from it all! No cell service, no tv, but a daily weather report is available.|Many come here to fish in the beautiful and serene Munsungan Lake: mostly trout and salmon. You get get a guide for a day, that almost guarantees a catch. The staff will fry or smoke your catch, too.|This is a wonderful place for a family vacation; kids always seem to have a great time splashing and exploring.|Three meals a day are served, and there is always plenty of wood for the communal campfire. It’s fun to talk to the other guests around the campfire, with s’mores !|On caution: bring insect repellent!

Just back from a weeklong trip to Bradford - our ninth year. Karen and Igor Sikorsky are excellent hosts and go out of their way to make you feel at home. No WIFI or cell coverage is a huge plus - went an entire week without looking at a cellphone or iPad. ||Cabins are rustic but very comfortable. No electricity but gas lights, wood stove and standard bath with hot shower. Meals are included and are very good. Bring your own wine.||Pete Drummond has been our fishing guide for many years and you could not find a more knowledgeable, patient and friendly guy. ||Fished in Reed Pond, Little Pleasant, Upper Hudson and spent a day on the Allagash River||Excellent time and Highly recommended.

Visited Bradford Camp this past summer. Camp was outstanding! Great cabins, food, lake and a little fishing. They even have an ice house that they take frozen blocks of lake ice out and store for the summer. Really nothing bad to say except for inn keepers wife. Her name is Karen and she acts like a Karen. Friendly on the surface only. She gave the attitude that the guest were an annoyance in her day. Even when we asked for something it seemed like it was a burden. Better to ask one of the other staff. Husband and the rest of the staff were 5 stars. Really enjoyed our time there. Camp is worth visiting.
