Google
We had an incredible experience at Bragg Farm Sugar House! The Maple Creamee was absolutely phenomenal — rich, smooth, and packed with flavor. The environments was incredibly welcoming and we learned about the fascinating process of how they make their maple syrup and the details of the sugar season. It was both informative and fun. We also got to meet their adorable goats, which added to the charm of the visit. I highly recommend Bragg Farm for anyone looking to enjoy amazing maple products and learn about the craft in such a warm, friendly atmosphere!

Google
Fantastic sugar house and shop! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The products are top-notch. You cannot miss the maple creamees! I love the opportunity to taste all the syrups. Also, they were totally dog-friendly in the shop and across the grounds!

Tanya Wallace

Google
Cute gift shop. Maple syrup tasting. Staff was super friendly and the Creemees were delicious.

Monica Duran

Google
We loved it! In addition to great maple products and créeme, they treated us to amazing information and a video of how maple syrup is produced. They also have all the equipment to extract the sap and make syrup at the place so you can see a d learn. Great place as great people. They also ship their products!!

Ellie N

Google
What a treat to enjoy the season with the locals visiting Bragg Farm. This is clearly a beloved place in VT. We sampled maple syrup (and took some home), enjoyed a maple Creemee (maple syrup soft serve!), and played around the grounds giggling on the swing set and petting the ponies. I felt like a kid! Well worth the visit.

Google
We had stopped in at the Harley dealership while travelling through to get a friend a t-shirt. We had stopped at Morse's nearby but they were closed. Harley man suggested Braggs. Glad we went!! Super nice lady, great visit. We bought gallons of the most wonderful syrup you could imagine and some really great Vermont made crafts. Highly reccommend!

Google
This farm is so precious! The maple syrup is delicious, and they ship nationwide (you just cover the shipping cost). Definitely get the maple creamie!! The Bragg family is so sweet, and very knowledgeable about their craft. Be sure to take time to see the animals!

Liseli P.

Google
Great find. They tell you all about sugaring and then you can watch a short video (maybe 10-15 minutes) in the room where they actually do the sugaring with the equipment! As it is summer time and not the right season we didn't actually get to see how they do it. After the video there is a tasting which was delicious and fun. If you like the taste if maple, definitely go for the maple creamee(soft serve ice cream). There are other fun things to buy - great shop to browse. Beautiful maple tree right outside

Yelp
Highlight of our time in Vermont was stopping at Bragg Farms on our way to Burlington... AMAZING maple and chocolate creemee twist!! husband couldn't get enough he ordered two! They give a great sized portioned too Lots of other yummy goodies too, maple fudge and maple sandwhich cookies... it has any maple product for sale you could think of!!

Lisa W.

Yelp
Our first maple farm! You can go to the back and watch how maple syrup is extracted and process. The video is a vhs and it's too old, they should update to the times. Then after you can taste the different maple syrup. It was a good sugar high at before lunch. The best thing about this place is their maple creamee, their ice cream. It was the best maple ice cream ever! I'm so glad I ate this before lunch. It wasn't overly sweet as I thought it'll be. I loved every second of it. Rich, silky, creamy and flavorful maple flavor. Delicious!!

Jenny G.

Yelp
We were hunting down some Vermont Creemees and found this farm. This is a must visit if you are in Montiplier, VT. Really cute farm with tasty Creemees and maple syrups. You get to try the different kinds of maple syrups. We love the extra robust which is the darkest kind. A plus is they have maple creemees. It has good maple syrup taste which we love. Very creamy and just enough sweetest. I love Vermont for the local businesses and farm with tastful products. They have Vermont souvenirs and kitchen goods. Everyone is very nice and kind. They offer us a catalog in which we can order as gifts. I prefer visiting the store and will definitely be back next yr.

Jenn V.

Yelp
Being a Vermonter now living near Chattanooga, TN, I HAD to stop here for a maple creemee! My friend was with me on her first trip to VT so learned about the sugaring process, bought some unique Vermont made items, and had her first maple creemee! The place was packed with a bus full of tourists but the staff was friendly to everyone and patiently explained the difference in syrup grades and answered questions. I always enjoy my stops here and they have a big porch for relaxing and a small petting zoo for the kids. Definitely worth the trip if you're looking for a Vermont experience.

Katherine M.

Yelp
Staff was incredibly nice, knowledgable and helpful! We learned so much about maple syrup, and will definitely come back to see it in action. They have a cute circa 90s style video about the farm which is interesting to watch and learn. There are also several adorable Knick knacks that are gift worthy in the store. This is definitely a top spot to check out when you're in the area any time of the year!!!

Joshua L.

Yelp
Loved our visit here. The man and woman running the shop today were super friendly and accomodating. He showed us the room where they make the syrup and played a video showing the whole process from harvesting through end use and the history and certification process. They have self sampling of all the different types of maple syrup. We bought some large containers of syrup and they will ship it via UPS at standard UPS rates for you since we couldn't take it on the plane. Also have kitchen type items, shirts, sweaters, hats, cheeses, stickers, etc. and some friendly goats out back that liked being petted. Since they were already shipping these items, they actually allowed us to toss in some syrup containers that we had bought at a different Sugar House that i was concerned i woulda had to toss at the airport. I guess after spending a certain amount you get free ice cream as well and both my daughters got Maple Creemees. HIGHLY recommend you make a stop here.

Nancy D.

Yelp
I would not order anything from this business. My husband ordered on 15 December and it wasn't even shipped till after Christmas and it just arrived on 3 January...on both orders. My husband called to see if they would make it right, as they sat on the order for weeks without letting us know it wouldn't even go out till after Christmas. Extremely poor communication and business skills!!! They wouldn't do anything to make it right. Wow! We have ordered and done business prior, in person, but we will NEVER do business with them again. There are other sugarhouses that are good in Vermont. Ones that don't mis-mark their jugs.

amal s.

Yelp
Love the dark syrup. We buy all our syrup here. If you're lucky they might throw a little of their secret syrup stash on your maple creamie. Love this place!

Kristen B.

Yelp
Such a sweet staff, they have an amazing assortment of VT products, and their creemees are great! Plenty of outdoor space to accommodate larger groups, and a beautiful view to enjoy :). As locals, this is our go-to spot for our maple products, seasonings, and gifts! You wouldn't be disappointed!

Catherine H.

Yelp
Bragg farm is a long-standing tradition for our family and anyone who visits us: we always have to go at least once per visit for a creemee. Their maple flavor is unmatched: pure, and not at all fake tasting. They have many syrup samples to try as well! Their souvenir shop is full of great stuff and only somewhat over-priced. The creemees are a little small for the price, but the texture is great, and I have never tasted a better maple anywhere else. Also, they usually have a few ponies, goats, and bunnies to pet outside, as well as a playground and a couple of swing sets. if you are in the Montpelier area with kids, you should not pass this up!

Thomas F.

Yelp
Braggs has very good products. I don't think anyone will deny that. my problem is with their delivery system and customer service apparently they don't deliver certain items to my state and require me to pay more, but don't mention that on the website when you order online or the sales booklet. They also don't respond to problems quickly. I placed an order that was scheduled to arrive on the 14th, but they called me on the 16th to tell me there was a problem with the order. sitting on it for several weeks. By the time they took me seriously I only received a condescending phone call asking for more money. He spent more time trying to point blame than solving the issues. Only for them to send it to the wrong address when I corrected that as well. in the end I finally got my package and it was missing an item. These people lack professionalism is all I have to say. They can act polite, but make no effort to understand their customers and look for ways to improve communication If you want to visit them in person, I highly recommend it. But I live too far away to do that frequently so I am basing my rating on how effective their service is. So just keep that in mind Note, I did just get an email reimbursing me for the cost of the item, but only the item and not the extra money spend on taxes or delivery fees. so they basically are stealing money from me. But I am just done with this and it's only a few dollars so I'm letting it go

Tj C.

Yelp
Always a good time when I get a creemee here . I went with my mom and we ran into a few people we knew. That's what I like about this entire area there is always someone you know. The creemees were obviously delicious

Nicole W.

Yelp
Wow, so glad we stopped in here. Great selection of local specialities and other items to remember your trip to the area. Seems very well priced and the store itself was very cute. I have to give a shout out to the woman who was working who was a true lifesaver! There were some bad storms resulting in tons of road closures in the area and the woman working helped my boyfriend and I with providing a map, gave us a marker (sounds small, but was a life saver trying to cross out all the road closures, etc.) and helped us determine what routes were likely open. She really went the extra mile and I just wanted to say thank you to her!

Brittney R.

Yelp
They do a great job of explaining how the syrup process works. They give a little introduction and then you get watch a short video explaining the process and the business. The staff is around for questions afterwards and they have equipment around for you to look at. There is also a tasting area, which helps you decide if you're wanting to buy some syrup. They have a large gift shop with lots of items and they also have an ice cream bar where you can order Maple Cremes. You should not leave without one! They are delicious! It's maple flavored ice cream. Great place to visit and learn about maple syrup processing.

Andres A.

Yelp
It was all things Vermont. A cute country store with all the essentials to bring back a souvenir if your from out of state. When you visit you are able to visit the Sugar house, the store, ice cream shop and even view a video on how they produce the maple syrup. It was fine but I would have liked to have been able to take a tour and see how they go about doing the maple syrup. The ladies inside were very nice and were very helpful in answering questions. We made several purchases to remind us of our visit to Vermont.

Ann P.

Yelp
Absolutely, a tip top delicious maple creemee. The setting is an adorable VT gift shop chock full of everything maple, everything VT. It was a bit overload for me but fun. I scored a lovely dairy maple treat and sat outside and enjoyed. This was my first stop in my Part Two, Maple Creemee Crawl and it was 9 AM!!

Jo Ann B.

Yelp
Had to stop after reading the reviews. We were not disappointed. The maple syrup was amazing! Loved that we were able to try the different kinds as well as learn all about sugaring. The owner was wonderful. Loved hearing the stories and learning about her family farm and the history. Definitely a must stop!

Hong L.

Yelp
Nice spot for a quick break for maple creamies ice cream and activities to entertain kids (goats, bunnies and swing set). There is also a store with local Vermont staples. We usually pass by on our way to a brewery, so it's nice to finally stop by and spend some time here.

Brigitte K.

Yelp
Amazing maple creemees that were so maple-y. They offered to let us taste the maple syrup to help make a decision on which to buy, despite closing in 5 minutes! All the staff were so nice and helpful.

Francis F.

Yelp
Sweetest place literally! Great little shop with their own maple syrup (took a years worth home). Delicious Cabot cheese, ice cream, goat milk soaps, and more. A family atmosphere will definitely be back.

Tina T.

Yelp
Great find! We were there to try the maple creemes but enjoyed the shop, people and property. Watched the informative video on making maple syrup and then bought maple syrup, sugar and candy. Couldn't resist. Will have to find a way to fit it all into the luggage now. Super delighted by this lovely place!

Ryan H.

Yelp
A fun little stop on our way through Vermont. Great Maple Syrup. There's a playset and a few farm animals for the kids to interact with as well.

Timothy B.

Yelp
This place takes educating how making maple syrup seriously. Staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and they have a very wide variety of Vermont chachkies. Plenty to choose from. Get off the beaten path and give it a shot!

Anasofia T.

Yelp
Came in from some maple soft serve! Ironically I am not a huge fan was maple syrup but figured I had to try some while in Vermont. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the soft serve. The store also has a lot to offer from maple syrup to t-shirts. I also enjoyed the educational video on the production of maple in the back of the store. I would just advise to be careful when purchasing items not every is made in Vermont.

Geeta S.

Yelp
Amazing maple creemies! Highly recommend a visit to enjoy the ice cream in addition to learning more about the maple syrup process.

Mariah S.

Yelp
This was our first visit to VT. My step dad has family from upstate near the border who always sends fresh VT syrup, so I decided why not get some while we are here?! They had 4 different types to sample which was great! They had awesome gift shop options as well, we got to look at the sugar house but it is not running this time of year. Great learning experience for little ones

Marissa C.

Yelp
Amazing!! We had so much fun visiting Bragg Farm! You can tell that this is a loved place and that they value family traditional and quality products. Their syrup tasting was incredible and then we tried the maple Creemees! So good! I wanted to go back and get another! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Definitely a must see!

Scott D.

Yelp
Found this place on brochure we found at a rest stop heading up to Vermont, and thought this might be a good place to go to checkout. We watch the video that explained the whole process of the maple sugar process. We were able to try four different maple syrup's going from the most delicate to the strongest. We also tried a creamy, which is Vermont's maple flavored ice cream. Fun place to check out.

Calvin L.

Yelp
Loved this place. Lots of choices of Vermont gifts. Many more choices of maple syrup that I have seen. Purchased a Maple Creemee. Was amazing. Creamy and tasted real unlike many of the places that sell the powder version. The entire family loved it! I live in California but every time we go to Vermont we stop here!

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Love this place! Want to see/learn how they make maple syrup (old vs. new)? Would you like to sample a few different styles of syrup to see which one you like best? Or try a maple creamee? Maybe walk around a bit and befriend the lovely little animals they've got hoofing around...we had such a nice experience and loved every part of it. Next time we visit Vermont you can bet I'll be stopping here...I need more syrup!!! And probably another creamee!!!

Renee T.

Yelp
Very friendly staff. Great syrup and creemees. They use the old school method for collecting maple syrup and wood fire to get it to the correct concentration. They let you sample before you buy and I found their prices to be similar to other places. Highly recommend a stop in!

Thomas Z.

Yelp
Great product super friendly, mask friendly and not COVID paranoid. You can watch a video of how the maple process works then try plenty of samples. Highly recommended. Probably the BEST maple syrup in Vermont.

Bianca C.

Yelp
Amazing sweets and atmosphere, some things in the gift shop can be pricey but other wise a great place

Cameron M.

Yelp
So friendly and warm staff that are very proud of what they do, and all the syrup is beyond fantastic. Recommend this farm over any others I have visited in excellent customer service.

Kelly G.

Yelp
I've had creamees all over Vermont and the ones at Bragg Farm are the my favorite because they have the best amount of maple syrup in the mix. Go for the creamees and, yes, you can have more than one! The gift shop is also fantastic. It has a lot of quality Vermont products and books in the store. If you're looking for souvenirs, this is a great place. The farm is fun for kids too. It has lots of animals, two swing sets and slides.

Alex D.

Yelp
We actually made a point of coming back one more time before leaving the state to get another maple/chocolate twist "cremee" (soft serve but so much better than the average). They have an educational video (VHS tape on an old tv with folding chairs set up in the gift shop) which we didn't watch. You can taste-test the 4 types of maple syrup (do it yourself but ask the cashier to explain the differences - it's worth it and interesting). I feel that their prices were pretty good compared to the other souvenir/gift shops we had seen around New England for the same types of items (locally made soaps, small and large bottles of syrups). We actually got the majority of our souvenirs here to bring home. The shot-sized bottles of maple syrup for $1.99 each are perfect for family members at home. I wish I had gotten some of the locally made soaps, lip balms, etc. The side area makes for lovely pictures with their farm in the background and they also have a small swing set for kids and a few tables outside, along with a little house full of pumpkins to purchase. Just know that what you are going to experience is really the gift shop and creamery...we saw the farm from a distance but other than that there isn't any public portion of the farm or animals for experiencing.

Sara K.

Yelp
I love Bragg farm! The creemies are perfect. Only downside is you have to pay in cash unless it's over $10....

Devyn S.

Yelp
Such a cute little place! Went here for some maple cremes! If you're a first timer definitely have to go with the maple creme on a cone (it's the way to go). They have a great gift store with Vermont and Bragg's souvenirs-tons of magnets, t-shirts, sweaters and tons of children's books and toys! The store offers samples of the different types of maple syrup they make and then show a little video of how maple syrup in the room where it's made. It's definitely a place we'll be back!

Hannah O.

Yelp
I'm a Vermonter and I love myself a good maple creemee (my usual spot is Back Bay in Burlington)! Today was my first visit to Bragg Farm. They were super nice people/real Vermonters that own Bragg Farm and I loved the usual mountainous/amazing surrounding scenery that our gorgeous state has to offer! The bake shop/store offers a number of mapley (and other - jams, soups, crackers) food products and Vermont souvenirs galore! It was also entertaining to hear the flatlanders asking what creemees were!

Jonathan S.

Yelp
Great creamies! Wish they stayed open a little later during the summer...perhaps 9 or 10 pm.

Ed R.

Yelp
They have excellent cinnamon & sugar APPLE CIDER DONUTS! Mmm... Cost: $5.75 for six. I bought some apple cider too. Not as stellar, but okay. Big selection of Vermont t-shirts and other Vermont-themed things. I had a maple creamee last year here. I thought it was just so-so, but locals here seem to love these things. Outside there were a couple goats, a couple horses, some rabbits, plus swings and a slide for kids. Location is sort of remote. Just wilderness and farmland. (Worth the trip for the apple cider donuts.)

Marina W.

Yelp
I go to Montpelier often to visit a good friend. We usually make a point to go to Bragg Farm. I effing love strawberry maple milkshakes. I don't even drink cow's milk, and I effing LOVE their milkshakes. It is super enjoyable to go grab some delectable tasty treat and hang out under one of the shady trees, or do somersaults down the small hill, or go look at the goats. All of these things offer a great panoramic view of the mountains. There is also a little gift shop attached - it has some cutesy stuff, but the most important thing is that they sell delicious maple syrup for pretty reasonable prices. This is where I buy my Grade B maple syrup. You should, too. I tried to go there once for sugar-on-snow, but it was Easter weekend and they didn't have the staff to do it. I was SO DISAPPOINTED because this means I have to wait until next spring to do it. Also, they accept credit cards for purchases over $10.

Warda A.

Yelp
Not that interesting, would recommend the sugar maple works over this, which is closer to the state house. There's not much to do here but the maple ice cream is to die for!! I tried maple cremees at a couple different places whilst in Vermont and this place was by far the best. They had pretty good prices but this is def a quick stop!

Steve M.

Yelp
Nice shop with really friendly and helpful staff. Lots of tasty items. Stopped on way back from trip and picked up some gifts.

Haley B.

Yelp
Nice place for gifts, maple goods, and a little a Vermont history. However, this farm has animals (two miniature horses, a goat, and two rabbits) and it looked as if the stalls hadn't been cleaned in months. Particularly, the horse stall had mountains of poop and that appeared to be so old they were to the point of molding. It was a rainy day and the poor horses were in the shelter to keep dry and were stepping and laying in their own moldy poop. Shame on Bragg's farm for treating their poor defenseless animals this way :(

Joelle H.

Yelp
Could these people be ANY friendlier? The answer is a firm NO. Such a cute place. Lovely people that want to teach you about making maple syrup. Bought some syrup and so glad to have accidentally stumbled onto this place during our weekend in Vermont.

Wp S.

Yelp
Wonderful local resource for sharing with visitors to Central Vermont.

Angela S.

Yelp
I'm not sure if the other people reviewing have ever had soft serve ice cream. The "creamee" was fine, but not worth driving out of the way for. I did enjoy some of the other items here though. I purchased a cookbook, trivet, mustard and fruit preserves, along with the obligatory maple syrup. A nice stop overall.

George C.

Yelp
Yup, another great sugar house, this one with massive crowds, though, so head to Morse for shorter lines if that happens to you.
