Brama Poznania

A must-see in Poznań! This museum is best experienced together with a visit to Cathedral Island, as the two complement each other perfectly. I spent about 3 hours here, and it was absolutely worth it. The exhibitions take you back to the very roots of Polish history – to 966, the first kingdom, and the Piast dynasty. The museum is very well organized, with timed entry every 20 minutes to avoid crowding. The audio guide is outstanding – modern, precise, and interactive. It uses your location inside the exhibition to guide you seamlessly from one point to the next. A super museum that really brings Polish history to life!

I visited Brama Pozania (Poland's gate) and I absolutely loved it. The museum present many exhibits and the audio tour is available in a variety of languages. The audio tour is also interactive as it gives you many things to do and exhibits to see. It is not too hard to navigate between the different exhibits since the audio tour walks you through the museum in a step-by-step manner and is easy to follow. The restaurant there is a but small and doesn't provide many options so you are better off eating somewhere else. Also, make sure that you go on a sunny day since you can take pictures on a terrace and the rain may not make you picture pretty!

delicious place! we spent 2 hours there on an interactive tour with an audio guide. there are few historical exhibits, but there are film modules in each room. I learned much more about King Przemysław - who was actually as important as the other great kings of Poland. I highly recommend it, even to those who are not interested in history, to understand what the beginnings of the Polish Country were like.

Really friendly staff who were happy to help! The exhibition is so well done, the audio guide gives you a whistle stop tour of the museum but also gives you the opportunity to explore each room independently. You can scan each area with your guide and it gives you more in depth audio about. Also had a gorgeous little cafe, again with the loveliest staff!

Really excellent high tech multimedia exhibition taking you through the history of Cathedral Island and beyond. I would actually recommend coming here before visiting the Archdiocesan Museum or Cathedral as you'll pick up information from the audio guide and videos about both these places. The smart audio guide knows where you are and automatically plays a commentary for that area. Additionally if you more information about any exhibit you can point audio guide at the headphones symbol and press play. Good views from the terrace on the roof of the building and after you've completed your tour, head across the glass sides bridge to the Cathedral Lock.

Great museum! Got the tram from hotel here and walked about 5 mins to get to the museum. Can't remember cost of entrance but it was cheap and included audio guide and an audio guide for the cathedral also. Spent maybe 2 hrs here and really enjoyed it ! Very informative, interactive and fun! Nice observation deck near the end of self guided tour also. don't have kids, but it's great for kids with lots of kids educational play areas also! If in Poznan I wouldn't miss this one!
