It was so good and excellent! everyone was extremely friendly and so clean! everything was washed and neatly put on the bed. It is so good and cheap! it is near the swimming pool and ice cream shops and other shops. It is close to a playground. The manager is really friendly and nice. I definitely would recommend for you to be here to stay. It is really a good place to stay in

The hostel has a great atmosphere. Really well located, car park available. Huge kitchen with all the ware to cook easily. Has a nice living room with a fireplace, which is great for winter. During summer, you can chill outside while hearing the birds! It is a budget accommodation perfect for a long weekend! Enjoy your stay there 😊

Had a wonderful 4 nights here at end of Nov. Large room with ensuite all to myself, despite several groups coming and going. Lovely surroundings, quiet and relaxed atmosphere, Danni made myself and other travellers feel at home. Everything you need for a comfortable stay at a really good price . Nice pedestrian walk to amenities , cultural centre across road, bush and mountain walks surround the hostel if you haven't got wheels. Would definitely stay here again, and will recommend to others.

I really liked how cosy the backpackers was and incredibly quiet as it's nestled among trees out of the town centre. The fire was kept going throughout our whole stay, and the kitchen was spacious and incredibly equipped. It's just across the road from the Brambuk Cultural Centre and a field full of grazing kangaroos! ||||The management of the hostel is incredibly relaxed, when we arrived our room key was at the unattended front desk and we didn't any staff members for a few hours (apparently it's possible to never see them during a stay). The staff spend a lot of time socialising with guests and watching television, so it sort of feels like you're just staying at an airbnb. It could do with some small improvements though, like towels in the bathrooms, replaced lightbulbs, and a working website & wifi.

We stayed there on new year eve for 2 nights. We're very pleased with their hospitality. The staff during on our stay was Frank. He approached us when we had a difficulty to unlock our room when we first arrived during late time. He was very friendly and helpful. He explained everything about that place. He was the one who served us during checkout time as well. We so overjoyed by him. Highly recommended for a budget backpackers.

Friendly people and cozy place, quite cheap and convenient. Bedrooms are clean; but I can't say the same of the rest of the place :-( Very cold in the kitchen and the lunch room. Credit cards are accepted but they charge you a lot, so prepare some cash. Reconfirm your reservation before you arrive; they missed our, but they manage to get us some beds.

We were a group of 46 in Halls Gap for a gymnastics competetion in Stawell. 20 teenage girls and their families. The backpackers has a great combination of dorm, double, trip and quad rooms perfect for our group configuration. Every room has it's own bathroom, which was great. Linen supplied, Very warm heating and open fire for the cold winter. The large kitchen is well equiped with tea and coffee supplied. There was also a large dining and lounge room, terrific for our get together. Easy drive to town, and lots of kangaroos around in a lovely setting. BBQ as well.
