I really liked how cosy the backpackers was and incredibly quiet as it's nestled among trees out of the town centre. The fire was kept going throughout our whole stay, and the kitchen was spacious and incredibly equipped. It's just across the road from the Brambuk Cultural Centre and a field full of grazing kangaroos! ||||The management of the hostel is incredibly relaxed, when we arrived our room key was at the unattended front desk and we didn't any staff members for a few hours (apparently it's possible to never see them during a stay). The staff spend a lot of time socialising with guests and watching television, so it sort of feels like you're just staying at an airbnb. It could do with some small improvements though, like towels in the bathrooms, replaced lightbulbs, and a working website & wifi.
