Cottage review. Others have said plenty about the park itself, but I haven't seen anybody mention Moosalamoo Cottage. The pictures on the website are slightly outdated, the interior looks a bit different. But the description is spot on: there's a microwave and a toaster oven, there are no pillows or blankets or linens, there are plenty of kitchen utensils. The electric fireplace is not enough to warm up the cottage (obviously), but there's also a propane heater (although we couldn't get it to work). There's also a portable air conditioner. The cottage is in close proximity to a highway, so it can get noisy. It is also in close proximity to the lake - less than 2 minutes of walking. Getting to the trail was a challenge for us - you'd need to follow the street and then climb a steep (over 45 deg) hill, which was not fun with small kids. There were mouse traps all over the kitchen when we got there and sure enough, mice were having races in the attic at night. We haven't SEEN a single one, however. Outside of the cottage was set up great! There are two tables - one in screened area and one by the grill. There's an improvised fire ring, a charcoal grill, grilling tools, fuel, even a wood chopping block. Haven't seen any animals other than chipmunks and a deer in 2 nights of stay. Overall the place was better than most cabins/yurts we've been to, but I doubt we'll be returning as packing pillows and blankets takes up most of the trunk space. Great park though - if we lived nearby, then we'd definitely frequent it.
