Brandberg Rest Camp Uis Namibia

We decided to stay 2 nights as the place is very inviting to relax, rest a little on an otherwise very active self-drive 4x4 trip through Namibia. Strategically located between Swakopmund and Etosha, it is a nice basis for some day trips. And also, the restaurant and bar attracts quite a few locals. We felt very welcome.

Brandberg Rest Camp is an excellent base for exploring the Brandberg area – just about 30 minutes’ drive away. The campsite offers great value for money: while the facilities are quite basic, they are more than enough for a comfortable stay. We particularly appreciated the small pool, perfect for cooling off after a hot day, and the bar/restaurant on site where you can relax in the evening. A simple, friendly, and practical option for travelers looking to explore this beautiful part of Namibia.

Accomodation was excellent and top notch. Friendly staff and willing to assist all the time. Food that I ordered was beyond expectation 🙏. I will recommend the place to my friends and family. See you soon again

Brandberg Rest Camp is located in the centre of Uis and offers 11 double rooms, 5 self-catering 6-bed chalets, 4 safari tents or 20 camp sites.There is a restaurant & bar and and snooker table & pool. Outfit and layout provide an off-road atmosphere. Service is adequate. We opted for camping. We had a campsite with electricity & water. All was reasonably clean. During the night we heared the tin mining activities in the distance. Brandberg Rest Camp is an OK place, and good for 1 or 2 nights.

Unique place with real character! Basel went the extra mile for our Königstein hike — early breakfast, drinks ready after the hike, and he even organised swift help when some hikers got flat tyres. Outstanding service! We will definitely be back!

The establishment requires maintenance, cleaning and security.||The self-catering units were infested with cockroaches, the braai area was not cleaned, the tables around the pool area were very dirty and we noted that the gates are not locked at night. It is our assumption this lead to having footprints in our private courtyard the following morning.

Very comfortable and clean. A great stay and I fully recommend. I had a nice chat with Basil, one of the owners/directors.

Very good place with good bathroom and space for the car. There is also a restaurant with good food at reasonable prices.
