Great store with such a large selection of items available. It can get quite busy in here and it becomes single file at certain times. There are lots of bags, jumpers and lots of variations of the same items. It seems well stocked. There are lots of cashiers so there is no wait to pay.

We flew from Florida to New York to visit this store. The selection is huge, prices are great, and the quality is very good. I would have given a full 5 stars if it weren’t for a very rude African American woman (long dress) working at the fitting room. Her attitude was extremely unpleasant, and she shouldn’t be working in any store — especially one that caters to teenage girls.

I went around 11:40 to Brandy today and it really wasn’t too busy. When we arrived, we waited about a minute in a short line and made it in. Although there were a good amount of people, it wasn’t OUTRAGEOUS for such a large store. I wish I could have tried on shorts like the linen ones or the satin ones but it was alright either way. The only complaint I have is that the worker at the register could have used a little more hospitality when speaking to customers. Aside from that, a very lovely experience. EXTRA: The bodyguards were not following anyone around when I was there

The clothes here are cute however the staff and security makes me extremely uncomfortable. I am a slimmer girl of color and i may not always dress the brandy “aesthetic “ when i go into the store to shop however I do receive a lot of stares by the employees when i am shopping. I have been followed through the store as well. this location is already hard to walk through and the staff make it even more difficult when they are constantly following . The staff is rude and they are constantly profiling. I had went into the fitting room and they asked me to leave my bag in front of the door and were standing by my room as i was changing .

Their clothes are fantastic. I spent over $200. Their customer service Is disgusting. They need to sit down with their employees and have a serious talk. If they don't like what they're doing they should quit. I don't know if they do this to all of their customers or was this just me because I am Latina. I'm not the only one look on tiktok

I had such a great experience shopping at Brandy Melville for the first time thanks to Destiny. She was so friendly, patient, and helpful the entire time I was in the store. She went out of her way to help me find exactly what I was looking for and made sure everything fit perfectly. She had such a positive attitude and her attention to detail made my shopping experience so enjoyable. It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely cares about customer satisfaction the way she did. Brandy Melville is so lucky to have her on the team!

The workers were nice, I didn’t have issues with any of the workers, my problem was the security guard. I needed a shirt to go to a concert, so I saw brandy melville had the top I was looking for. I tried it on, bought it, and changed into it before I left the store and help my original shirt in my hand. When I left the security guard asked to see my receipt for the shirt I changed out of. I had to explain to him that the shirt it my hand was the shirt I had on when I entered the store and the shirt I changed into was the one I bought, then he said ok. I walked away so frustrated and asked why he had to see a receipt (I don’t know if he heard me). The shirt I had on was literally a forever 21 shirt from years ago. Security if worrying about the wrong people, smh

Daughter loves it. Weird to have to wait in line, just to get in to buy clothes that are only one size and look he same as every Hollister, American Apparel, mall type of clothing stores. Next fad to fade for sure.

This was the top of my teens long list of nyc back to school shopping destinations. And it appears she's not the only teen obsessed based on the size of the line outside the store. Once inside there's not too many people, which makes me think the line outside is a marketing ploy. My daughter loves their shirts with #s (why is that a trend), sweatpants and pajamas. I'm a little confused by their one size fits all concept - the line alone was made up of girls of so many different sizes. While I don't see what's so special about their clothes, I do appreciate their fair pricing. It's hard to do too much damage to the wallet with their clothing and my daughters smile after shopping here was priceless

First off, I want to say that I understand that Brandy Melville (especially this location) is a shop lifting hotspot, falling victim to ignorant 13 year old girls. I myself have been shopping here for well over 10 years and never been accused of shoplifting once until today. Saturday 9/28 at 1:00pm the cashier (Mid length light brown hair, big light brown eyes, about 5'2, and wearing hoop earrings), accused me of stealing my own sweater that I bought just the day before. I just finished checking out with another cashier and had a normal guest experience, but when I went to go stand with my sister at the next register over, with my receipt in hand for the 2 products I just bought, the girl handling my sisters transaction asked to see the tag on my sweater that I was wearing. I didn't think much of it at first, so I complied with her request, but I started to get annoyed after she asked me to take off the sweater even more so she could see better. Furthermore, she asked me if I had bought the clothes in my hand, when I literally just did right next to her AND I was holding my receipt!!! As someone who worked high end retail for years, I can confidently say that this girl is an idiot and lacks judgement. Considering my sister and I had just spent about $300, I had my receipt in hand, was at the next register over, and am a fully grown adult, it was an insane request to even suspect me of taking anything. While this review may have little to no impact on any of Brandy's employees, or any of these readers experiences, I hope this cashier feels ashamed and embarrassed for treating me the way she did today and hears about this review so she can do better in the future.

This company send out worn, damage and used clothing. I emailed them clear pictures at least 10 times and called. Every customer service representative is worse than the next. They lied about there supervisor- Sabrina, every time I called, first she was "out" then "lunch break" and 5 minutes later she "left for the day". They are the biggest scam. DO NOT ORDER A PEICE OF CLOTHING FROM HERE!!!!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE IN MY LIFE!!!

Hit up the Brandy Melville flagship in NYC, a usual stop since it's my daughter's go-to brand wherever we're in town. They've got the variety, no doubt, just like at their other spots. My teen daughter always loves going here. She says she has a method to her madness. She goes up one aisle first and around and then back again. They now opened up the back and have many dressing rooms which is a pleasure. She was able to find many items that she liked and that we bought. Cute sweatpants, tops, shorts and sweatshirts! On trend but it won't break the bank. The employees are very friendly and that was a pleasure as well. Even the security guard was helpful - we couldn't reach one of the items and he saw us struggling so he came over and helped us! They have a great selection here and reasonably priced. The store doesn't really have a sign on it but if you use the address you can obviously find it!

this brandy location is a nightmare to browse and/or shop at. service is just okay but there is a huge selection of clothing which is mainly why people come to this location

As I am strolling around SoHo, the window display at Brandy Melville catches my attention. I've heard of this brand but have never really looked into it. As I walk in, I was immediately drawn to their style. I spot a top I like and check out the tag. ONE SIZE?? Huh? As I check another piece and another, they all say One Size. I'm thin frame and these clothes fit me perfectly. So keep that in mind as you shop here. And the prices shocked me. Most tops and bottoms are very affordable in the $20-$32 range. Brandy Melville is an Italian clothing brand that was established in the 80s. It became popular in Los Angeles in 2009. It has 4 million IG followers. They don't advertise the traditional way. Instead they rely heavily on social media. The clothes are tailored for teens and young women. I am very happy with my selections and I plan to add more Brandy Melville pieces to my wardrobe. The majority of the reviews here mention how rude the security guard and staff are. I didn't encounter that at all. In fact, the two young girls that rang me up were all smiles.

Was surprised at the many negative reviews. My 12 year old daughter was in love with this place. Security guard may have been harried but was polite. Place is a bit of a zoo - packed with clothes and tween and teen girls! Pretty much no service staff but the checkout folks were polite and efficient. Clothes are relatively affordable and actually made in Italy. All sort of tan, navy, beachy vibe.

Came to this BM to pick up some clothes from my daughter as it's one of her preferred clothing brands. It's located in the Soho neighborhood. The only sign for this establishment is a small BM sign in the front window, so if you blink you could miss it. It looks just like every other BM, nothing different. The store is neat and organized, but I am taking off a couple of stars for the unpleasant store security in the front of the store. I understand that times are tough and that there are a ton of shoplifters, but surely you can treat the loyal paying customers with class and not subject them to rude, aggressive and accusatory treatment. This has happened at this store on two visits, one in 2022 and now this year.

The security and lady who's always working the fitting rooms are SO mean. I've been many times now and have never had a pleasant experience But this Brandy location has the best selection by far and often find things before they're even on the website. Worth the trade off imo~

Typical craziness for this time of yr, BW offers a certain style for young woman. Prices were excellent for Manhattan. Employees fell into the demographics, 18-22 and female. Good place for young women to shop. I was shopping for my niece.

First off just wanted to try to put on a sweatshirt in front of the mirror, security guard rudely said I need to go to the dressing room... decided to just leave the sweatshirt looked elsewhere for other things and noticed the security person was following me around, seemed like she wanted to make sure I didn't try anything on but found something I liked and went to the dressed room. There she was again checking people in for the dressing room. Was extremely rude to me once again. Ya'll lost another customer and I will probably never go to ANY of your stores if this is how you select your staff especially in SoHo. Please avoid this place!!! Could find nicer staff and high quality material/lower price at Zara or Forever21 for your daughters.

Loved it here, the employees were super nice and helped me find what I was looking for. Just a reminder tho that not everything that's on the app can be find in store.

(this is a review coming from a tall skinny white blonde girl so this might not apply to you) The workers here where very nice! :) It was quite crowded but considering i went at 2pm on a saturday that makes sense. I found everything i was looking for deffinitley reccomend.

fun tip!! learn to turn your clothes inside out the proper way and fold peoples clothes into their bags instead of making it look like dirty laundry!!!

I've been to quite a few Brandy locations and they all seem to be the same to me. Either you'll have a TERRIBLE experience or an okay/good experience. So far at any location whether it's on the West Coast or East Coast, the employees are dead inside, especially ones at flagship stores. I'm a POC myself and never had an awful experience but never stellar service either. You just have to come in knowing what you like and out. The security guard was nice and said hello and goodbye as I entered and left with my purchase. Would still come back again if I'm in town since it's in a fun area.

besides the dressing room, the staff was super sweet and i definitely felt a better vibe with the employees in this brandy location than others.

The lady in the fitting room was very mean. I went there three times, and she was mean to me three times. At first I thought she was just having a bad mood, well it turned out she's always angry and rude.

I don't understand it...perhaps it's a generational thing. Regardless this brand has captured a market of 13-17 year old skinny girls. They only sell clothes in one size and have been subject to protests and the like in the past. You can buy a t-shirt for $20 that says "Hamptons" or "Hudson Valley" or some other local town. The quality of the clothes here is not very good as many items we've purchased just don't hold up. Yet, they must be doing something right because the place is always crowded. My teenage daughters also tell me that they are "judged" by the staff. I guess this is part of the allure? This is a place I dread ending up in but I'm sure I'll be back soon under duress.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Miserable experience at this disgustingly sweaty location. I was waiting for a friend to finish shopping and took a seat on a small bench near the door. I am recovering from chemotherapy treatment for cancer which has severely weakened all of my muscles and makes it very painful to stand for long periods of time. No sooner than I had seated myself, an extremely rude security worker came up to me and told me that I could not sit. I asked why not and he said that it was because he said so. I went to go sit at a different bench and he again became loud and hostile and insisted that I could not sit. I asked where I could sit then and told me there was nowhere I could sit in the entire store! I was humiliated in front of multiple people. I complained to the cashier who was very nice and understanding and apologized profusely for his actions and said she would be escalating this issue with her manager which I was very appreciative of. Do not come here, let alone if you are disabled - you will be treated horribly and discriminated against.

A bit hard to find, but that doesnt matter. very busy but the lines move fast. Lots of people talk about racial profiling here but I didnt see it, mostly just judgy looks from the workers & such. The girl who checked me out was a little judgy but she was still kind so i dont mind. im a young black girl and I felt perfectly fine. each experience is different & maybe its just because of the time i went but I felt comfortable here. I can't speak for the other locations.

Ok before I go on a tangent I will say that I like the clothes that are available in this store. The clothes are what get the one star . Now get ready for the needle to scratch on the record. The downside.....the staff is just awful, dreadful, confused....I could go on for days but it's a review not a novel. As a consumer you have no idea who works in the store so you risk embarrassing yourself by asking a fellow shopper, "do you work here"?. Let's get name tags or have them wearing shirts with the store name.....something so you can find help rather than walk around aimlessly trying to figure out who is staff and who is a shopper. The staff at this particular locations needs to be overhauled and RETRAINED. How do you work in a store and have no idea of what merchandise is in the store????? If you don't know where an item is wouldn't it make more sense to refer a shopper to a more knowledgeable sales associate rather than walk around like you are coming off of propofol after surgery. I was told after each sales associate allegedly came to help me a series of these really unacceptable responses: "I'm new here", "I don't recall where I saw it", "let me ask someone else to help you" ....which took foreverrrrrr for a new person to come over to offer assistance. I was told four times "someone else would come help me" and each of the total of five employees was more clueless than the last. I have worked retail at a very well known store B _ _ _ _ _ _gdales and granted I didn't know every item in the store but I did have the sense to find an actual person who could help a customer. This is not a good way to run a business and for those of us who are shopaholics....it's the fastest way to get us to leave empty handed which is exactly what I did. I went to several other stores in the area that are efficiently run and spent my money there.

Well, this is a first. The staff here made my 12 year old daughter cry on her first trip to NYC -- where visiting the Brandy Melville flagship store was a most anticipated event. They accused her of trying to steal something while she was returning items from her dressing room -- at the same time I was buying a ton of merchandise. Ridiculous. Hey Brandy Melville, you lost a customer for life. Store manager: check your staff. Whoever was working on Dec 22, 2022 at noon in the dressing room were rude to me and completely rattled a young, previous brand loyalist. We're done.

If you have a teen or preteen daughter I would recommend you let them go in and wait outside. Its a mad house on weekends. As far as I can tell there only security guards (weirdly aggressive - it costs them very little have these clothes made overseas, right?) and cashiers.

Security guards were following my friends and I. As I was waiting outside the dressing room for my two friends to finish trying on the clothes they were going to buy, one security guard proceeded to ask me if I were going to buy the items I had in my hand. After I said yes, he gave me a snarky look and walked away. Then, after we paid for our items, the security guards were blatantly staring my friends and I down, which made us feel extremely uncomfortable.

One size clothing store appealing to teenage girls. Service is generally rude-ish. There is nothing special about their clothing fashions.

Discrimination issue happened at Manhattan flagship store by 7 p.m. Dec 10, 2021 I am a customer went to store located at 519 Broadway to buy stuff. When I completed the payment and tried to go out. The security standing besides the door said" Let me see your receipt." I asked " Is there anything wrong with me why you ask to see my receipt. The man said we are security, we check everyone's bag. I said it never happened to me before when I buy things from here. The rule is stupid. The security said maybe you are stupid. He said many times to me " I am stupid". His attitude and the behavior of another security who wearing a green color baseball hat joined him later are so rude. Less than 10 seconds after I left the store, I decided to go back to make a complain about the security to manager who take in charge tonight and make sure if they check everyone' bag as the rule sets as is. When I walked to store I told the security because of your bad attitude I ask to return my money for everything I bought from here. The security said "go go go get your return! " I told to one employee about the things happened to me and ask if they check everyone's receipt? The employee said it's just randomly. And she said "the security company is not part of Brandymelville, and we are not take charge of them." Then one security guard wearing green hat came here to emphasis that they check everyone's receipt and bag. I asked to show me the evidence that they check everyone's bag. Because I did not see he checked others' bags！He cannot show any evidence and said who you are a customer?You can't see any evidence. He asked me to call police. At the same time, two BM workers, one is an Asian look with a medium long hair woman, another is a white woman who claim that they are two of the managers, they said you already showed your receipt to him and left. There is nothing wrong with him! And those are rules I need to obey.They did not accept my compliant and refuse to give me the general management contact information. The asian looking woman kept interrupting my talk and asked me to leave the store in a loud voice and refused to give customer service contact info. After many requests from me, they gave me customer service tel number, while I was making a phone call to customer service, they were enforcing me to leave store and the security guard with green color baseball hat took my shopping cart without my permission. As I asked customer service to refund my payment, they agreed to do refund at the end. The security guard with green hat asked me to call police when they processing my refund. I ask management to respond to me for what happened tonight. Because of their bad, rude attitude and unprofessional behavior, I feel that I have been treated unfairly. I need them to apologize for discriminating against others!

I love Brandy Melville and I'm a frequent shopper but after my most recent experience I'm sure I'll never go back in store. I'm really indecisive so I take a long time to look at stuff and decide on what to get and apparently some man thought I looked suspicious?? He went through my bag about three times and publicly humiliated me for no reason. please just shop somewhere else or online.

I had really bad experience today. I came in to the store with my bag of clothes. I walked around didn't like anything and i was about to leave and the security guy told me to show him the receipt .. that I purchased those clothes i almost lost it .. This idiot saw that the clothes were mine because he was tailgating all the time!!! Unbelievable!! Very pissed! I should have call the manager but this idiot kicked my out of the store !! I don't know what management is doing there but i guess they simply don't care!!Never coming back !

Don't waste your time, energy or money here. Went here today (the day after Thanksgiving) with my daughter. First, we had called to check their hours and whether they would have any items on sale. The girl who answered the phone LITERALLY said, "No." and hung up. We arrived mid-day and it was busy. We had multiple bags from our Black Friday shopping at Macy's and Louis Vuitton. We looked around the shop for about ten minutes, in which time we encountered no fewer than 3 employees who walked right in front of us, with not a WORD of "Excuse me," or even one, "Can I help you?" I asked one of those employees if she could help my daughter find a ribbed Skylar tank top. She stood there for a few seconds and then said, "Show me a picture." I'm like, you don't know what products you have in your own store??? And when I replied that I didn't have one and I guess I would just look around to find it myself, she shrugged and walked off without a word. My daughter knew what she wanted to buy, so we gathered the few items and she went to look at the jewelry before checking out. As she stood there in front of the earrings, an African American employee walked RIGHT in front of me to stand RIGHT next to my daughter and just stood and stared at her. After about ten full seconds, she took off to harass another customer. WE WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. Your money is better spent elsewhere where the managers and brand actually cares if their employees are rude and hateful to the customers.

why do people care about the staff so much? like yes, they're rude as fuck but you can easily ignore them. you realize you can get them fired if they attack you or anything of the sort, right? the clothes here are absolutely amazing but prices are a bit high. come if you have some money to spend, and be prepared not to have enough :)

I love all of the girls working there. They are extremely welcoming and willing to help you when you need. However, the security guard working by the entrance door is extremely terrible, racist, and rude. My friend and I went to the store today and we didn't find anything of our liking, so we decided to leave. Just when we were about to step out of the store, the security guard came up to us and asked to search through our bags. We cooperated and allowed him to do so. Since I had a brandy skirt I bought two months ago in my bag, the guard accused us of stealing. We tried explaining to him, but he wasn't willing to listen. He even threatened us and said that if we don't tell the truth, he will call the cops. I was totally fine with him doing so. In fact, I even told him to show me the security footage of me "stealing the skirt" but every time I told him to do so, he'll just act like I didn't say anything. We stood there for a good 30 mins for the kind brandy workers to help us find proof that we didn't steal the skirt. During that period of time, we saw plenty of white girls walking in and out of the store, but he didn't check any of their bags and never gave them a hard time. So I was pretty confused. Like is he only checking through bags of Asian girls?? At the end, thank goodness the girls found a record of me purchasing the skirt two months ago, or else who knows what will happen. And being the rude person he is, he didn't even apologize for being so rude towards us and for accusing us for doing something we didn't do.

Cute clothes, but the ginger employee needs to get her attitude checked. A bunch of employees also weren't wearing masks??? The only employee wearing a mask was the only one attempting to move the line along. The ginger and another white girl were making conversation in between customers and handled the merchandise very rudely. Last time I came there wasn't a security guard so hopefully y'all fired him bc the reviews about him are terrible.

I should've read the reviews telling Asian people to stay away. first of all, if you aren't white and blonde, the security guard immediately profiles you. I honestly thank him because as an Asian , I honestly haven't had any incidents where people think I'm shoplifting even though I'm a darker skinned one. I was also wearing a pair of Brandy jeans and a tank top, no bag. not anything suspicious looking. It was an African American security guard which is really sad because I thought people of color were supposed to stick up for one another. he also stared at other Asians in the store, like dude, I'm sure you have had experiences as a poc where people think you stole something, why are you doing it to others? he literally stared me down the entire time. I also tried to tell other workers in the store about it because it is not okay to randomly stare down young girls and make them feel uncomfortable. I told one blond worker that the security guard shouldn't tailgate people in the store and she essentially blew me off because "its his job". girl I don't even have a bag on me! how would I be shoplifting.. anyways thats not even the worst part. there was a disgusting spilled iced coffee on the floor on the dressing room that looked like it had been there for days, because it was starting to stain the floor, so when I asked to switch rooms, the room lady looked super frustrated and kind of scoffed at me. then I left because im not dealing with that bs.

The quality is definitely not on the high end, cheap prices but my daughter loves it so I grin and bear it to come here. Not sure why anyone would expect customer service to be stellar, the old adage you get what you paid for is definitely true here. I am sure I would be miserable too if I worked here and had to fold all those clothes at the end of day.... If you know what you want just pick it up, pay and leave ... best advice

Came into the store a couple of months ago on a rainy day. Walking into the store I was yelled at multiple times by the black security guard for not closing my umbrella before coming in (I was going to close it once i got in so I wouldn't be rained on). He called me deaf and questioned me. The whole time in the store I was being watched by him and felt very unwelcome. I thought I was the only one to experience such disgusting treatment until I looked at the store's Yelp reviews. I now realize that this was most likely racially motivated as I am a POC.

Brandy makes clothes for dogs. And the black security guard racially profiles every customer who isn't white. I used to come here everyday after practice and I never leave the store without buying something but he ALWAYS bag checks. Not only does he look through my Brandy bag but my personal bag as well and he never speaks, just blocks my path and points to the sign. I never have this problem with the Asian or Latino security guard.

I'm a customer from California and called to reserve a Brooklyn hoodie, arrived a minute before closing and security would not let me in. Extremely rude, horrible customer service, with management stating "I can't help you"

I was racially abused for being Asian, and a black employee yelled at me and my friend to go through our bags and think we had stolen a $5 ring, even though my friend and I were wearing Hermes and gucci. The employee did not do this to any of the white customers，she is rude and racist

The store was clean and clothes were neatly displayed. The employees were all very sweet and friendly! We had a great experience and would recommend this location to anyone who loves Brandy!

Never have I had a good experience here. Worst experience by far was recently when I was shopping alone. The store has so many options it can be overwhelming, so I was taking my time. However I guess that's suspicious and I was approached by the security guard that usually stands by the door. He accused me of taking pictures of the clothes and told me to stop, even though A) I wasn't and B) that's not even illegal?? I kept shopping when he approached me AGAIN and threatened to call the police unless I stopped, and refused to listen to me when I told him repeatedly I wasn't. He made a huge scene and I felt unsafe to stay in the store. Honestly I suspect it was because I'm not white. I told an employee about it while checking out and she was very kind and helped escort me to the exit. This security guard sucks and makes me afraid to even go back when I did nothing wrong.

They only hire white people to work where the cash register is and have black security guards to watch everyone when they shop and do bag checks, I feel like I couldn't shop in peace having someone watch my every move, what am I going to do in this small shop where there's literally no space and workers judging non-white people.

this place is really nice! the reviews got me worried but when i went none of them were true. the staff was incredibly nice and i had no problem with them. the shop itself was bigger than i imagined and had cute clothes for reasonable prices. even though i am not white (arab) the security or workers didn't give me weird looks like the rest of the reviews say. i defiantly recommend going here it is a cute and nice store.
