"Only 40 minutes from Philadelphia, this park is a peaceful getaway from the city. With 1,000 acres of hills, woodland, and meadows, it’s an ideal spot for hikers who want to explore the 14 miles of trails. The Brandywine Creek is filled with bass and trout, so it’s a popular fishing spot. There’s even a disc golf course, which is $8 for out-of-state visitors. When it’s summer, bring a tube to lazily drift along the Brandywine Creek. In the winter, trade the water tube for a toboggan, and sled down one of Brandywine’s hills. It’s popular during the fall and winter months, so keep that in mind when planning your trip." - MATADOR_NETWORK

Beautiful park with great trails and peaceful views! Brandywine Creek State Park is perfect for nature lovers. The trails are well-maintained and offer stunning views of the creek, woods, and open meadows. The Creek Trail is my favorite—it’s easy to walk and has great spots to relax by the water. The park is great for families, with plenty of open spaces, picnic spots, and chances to see birds and wildlife. It’s peaceful and a great place for a hike, a walk, or just to enjoy nature. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing outdoor day!

If you plan to hang out, make sure to get your park pass. You can get a yearly one, but I just got it for the day. Since I was out of state, it was $8.00. There are outside places to pay, but I got mine at the Nature Center. As you can see by the photos and videos, it is well worth the cost. You can also get your Passport Stamp for First State - Delaware. The Nature Center is a must for the kids as it has a viewing room and a bunch of nature stuff to see and read. There is a mini gift shop if you want some souvenirs. There is an area to go exploring in the woods to see some of the wildlife. Most of the area is open fields though, so good for kids to run around. There are plenty of places to picnic and there are some grills available for use. If interested, there is frisbee golf, but make sure it isn’t windy. It is pet friendly as I saw a few people with dogs.

Great place to hike, relax, walk,... Nice trails alongside of the creek. However, in some of the locations, markings are not clear or totally missing. They have to update it. Also, why are they trying to charge a fee? That's ridiculous and doesn't make sense. Furthermore, their machines aren't even working.

Went to Brandywine to do some rockhounding. The main entrance was well posted and has two picnic areas. There are walking trails. Frisbee golf course. This area is not close to the creek. There is plenty of room for dogs to play, kids to run and family get together.

It's been awhile since we visited. We were looking for a location that had a good view for the sunset. Found it. Will be back to enjoy some more.

Me and my fiance got lost on one of the trails the signs need to be better, we were looking for the actual Creek took a Trail and had to call 911 to get us out of the woods because the signs were no help. They need to have clear signs to show which way to go. Thankfully 911 was able to see us via satellite and direct us out we were not able to get in touch with anyone from Brandywine Creek State Park Representatives because we were lost for so long it got late they should have an emergency line. It would have been a nice trip If Only They were better with their signs to show you which Trail get you back it's very easy to get lost.

This is an awesome preserve with full of greenery. The park offers a network of trails for walking or hiking around deep wooded areas and wetlands. Beautiful views, of waterways, and wild birds. The trails are well maintained and easy to follow. A peaceful place to appreciate nature Great for picnic, hiking, biking and jogging. The garden here is beautiful with common flowers. It’s one of the best hot weather hikes in Delaware. This is a peaceful and less disturbed forest area, 933 acre preserve with trails all around. The hidden pond trail is great with lots of greenery’s, it’s a trail with shade and nice river with clean and fresh water but, just beware of spiders 🕷 and mosquitoes🧐. *Covid 19: they follow a wear mask on trails policy, but lots of people don’t but it’s spacious enough that you can avoid close contact. * Fee: $4 for in state registered vehicles and $8 for others. The parking is a bit limited. We had a great weekend coming here!!😍
