My whole family recently went to Napa Valley CA as part of a wine tasting, and sight seeing trip. We all stayed at Brennan Cottage in Calistoga. That turned out to be an excellent choice. Brennan Cottages is an elegant, historic and unique hostelry. Excellent location in the heart of Calistoga, easy access to St Helena and the rest of the valley. The rooms are beautifully appointed with every amenity you can imagine, and some we didn't, i.e. electronic phone cleaner. The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable, the bathroom was ample in size with a great shower and heated floor. There is a wonderful restaurant/ coffee shop as part of the Inn, open for breakfast a lunch. And the staff was excellent, the service exceptional! I recommend this place 100%

Beautiful boutique accommodation right in the centre of calistoga. What set this place apart from other accommodation on our trip was all the extras to make you feel super comfortable - hair straighteners, jar of complimentary sweets, water, full bathroom extras, rather than just a standard shower cap. |Quaint cottage done up to very high level. Very clean and very comfortable bed. Location excellent. Would stay here again.

A June wedding held in Napa brought us to book at the Brannan Cottage Inn in Calistoga, which was the perfect location from all the places we wanted to visit in the valley. We stayed in one of the King rooms for five nights, having breakfast at their outdoor seating area every morning enjoying the coffee and pastries from Sam’s General Store. I was reminded of the small, exclusive boutique hotels in Europe from another time… The genuine, courteous service we received made us feel as if we were the only guests at the lodge.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The room are extremely well maintained and have a lot of little luxuries: heated floor in the bathroom, heated toilet seat. Cabinet in the bathroom with hair straightener. The service is Ritz-Carlton quality. All the NicoleS were super helpful and friendly. They really created a warm, relaxed, and refined environment where even are unexpressed wishes and needs were met ;) Also the cafe serves amazing espresso drinks and some of the best Matcha lattes I’ve tasted. And they’re pet friendly.

Google
Perfect spot for a quick weekend getaway! Efficient and contactless check-in, the room was ready before we even got to Calistoga! Great location, I enjoyed the historical significance of the cottage, and its a few steps from downtown Calistoga, but around the corner so you're not disturbed by traffic noise. The room was very nicely done, cozy, spotlessly clean -- in fact, I found it was much nicer in reality than the photos (which is rare these days!) Lots of attention to detail (from the cute welcome note, the toiletries the room, features like heated toilet seats, an oil diffuser, and a phone sanitizer, and even chocolate, gummi bears, bottles of wine, and shots for morning recovery in the room). It's on site with Sam's General Store, so it was convenient to pop out for some coffee or just hang out in the garden. Having the bikes were also a bonus, we were able to take quick ride down the Napa Valley Wine Trail which starts just nearby!

We love staying at Brannan Cottage Inn. It is very well located in Calistoga walking distance to local shops and restaurants. Sam's General Store, on premises, makes the best Avocado Toast we've ever eaten. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and well priced. We'll be back!

Google
We very much enjoyed our stay at Brannon Cottage. It was a charming Inn conveniently located in downtown Calistoga and the rooms were very well appointed with many little details to make us feel pampered. We also loved the attached little cafe where we had a nice breakfast outside. The staff were very responsive to our needs.

Amazing inn centrally located in Calistoga. Beautifully appointed rooms. The attention to small details is immaculate (like heated toilet seats, plush bath robes, complimentary sweets, electronic door locks). Would highly recommend staying here when in the area.

Yelp
Ever wished you could time-travel without the hassle of building a DeLorean? Well, hold onto your monocles and parasols because Brannan Cottage Inn in downtown Calistoga is about to whisk you away on a journey through history--minus the awkward encounters with your ancestors. Picture this: you stroll through the doors of this modern historical inn, and suddenly you're greeted with all the charm of yesteryear, blended seamlessly with the convenience of today. It's like stepping into a time machine, only instead of flux capacitors, you've got complimentary Wi-Fi. Let's talk ambiance. From the moment you enter, you're enveloped in an atmosphere that's part Downton Abbey, part Silicon Valley startup. Think modern farmhouse furnishings rubbing elbows with sleek, minimalist design. And the rooms? Oh, they're a impeccably decorated. Our room had a comfortable bed and even a cell phone disinfector! Want to Netflix and chill? No problem--just don't be surprised if you spot an old-timey picture hanging next to the smart TV. In conclusion, if you're looking for a getaway that's equal parts whimsy and convenience to the great downtown area, Brannan Cottage Inn is the place to be. So grab your pocket watch and your smartphone, and prepare for a journey through time that's as epic as it is historic. Cheers to the past, present, and all the quirky moments in between!

Yelp
Super service and very cute room and property with nice general store attached. Great little breakfast came with the stay. Our room was big enough but watch out for a few of the tiniest rooms you might ever stay in. With that said I would stay in our room again. Great little neighborhood.

Yelp
This little inn is a perfect getaway spot for Calistoga. It is perfectly located for easy walking access to downtown, restaurants and spas. The rooms are beautifully furnished, spacious, well appointed and quiet. Sam's General Store, located on the property, offers delicious breakfast and lunch options along with espresso drinks. Best of all was Nicole, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was extra special. We will be back!

Yelp
I choose Calistoga over every other region in the Napa Valley because of the incredible hospitality. Brannan Cottage Inn is no exception and the only place I'll stay when I travel there. Brannan excels at the small touches (and big!) touches. A few of my fav things: - Rooms - beautiful, updated, with heated floors and toilet seats. Comfortable beds and TVs that connect to literally any streaming service. - Grounds - connected to famous Sam's General Store, with lots of outdoor seating and fire pits, if you want to lounge with a glass or bottle of wine. Bikes on site (free to rent), which is truly an amazing amenity in the summer months! - Hospitality - check in is contactless, and youre connected by text message with their on-site concierge, who is largely available to make every minute of your stay comfortable and enjoyable. I love Nichole B. I've never wanted for anything when I've stayed at Brannan, and that comes down to very personalized recommendations about anything from wineries, to restaurants, to local shops, and spas. Nichole has, on several occasions, hooked me up with last minute reservations and picnic lunches at incredible and popular wineries like Tamber Bey. Truly one of my favorite places ever!

Yelp
5 stars for everything but especially Nicole. She made our experience amazing. If you lived closer to me I would ask you to come work for me because of your customer service. Everything is contactless. Nicole emailed and text me instructions and directions. There is parking in the back and the rooms have keyless entries. She texted me the instructions a couple of days before on how to open the room. I actually forgot this and when we got here I called her and she graciously helped us. Sorry Brannon cottage is beautiful. There are 6 rooms, we were in number 6. It is upstairs. This room has a fireplace, espresso machine and a beautiful shower with a rain head. The toilet seat is heated and so are the bathroom floors. So nice in the middle of the night. It has a very comfortable king bed with super soft bedding. There are slippers and robes in the closet, the fan/AC has a remote, large tv, 2 comfy chairs and a desk. The little touches are nice: fresh flowers, phone sanitizer, q-tips, make up remover pads, nice lighting and shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower Outside there is a fire pit with chairs and some tables if you want to eat or hang out. The entire property is beautiful and peaceful. Once you park you don't need to move your car since you are downtown. We walked to dinner and there is a grocery store about a block away. There are many places to eat, wine taste or shop There is Sams general market on property. They are open 7 am to 4 pm offering coffees, teas, pastries, quiches and breakfast sandwiches. We were given a coupon for free brewed coffee and a breakfast item as guests of the Inn. Again the best part was Nicole. She is absolutely one of the sweetest people I have run into in customer service.

Yelp
Highly recommend! The beds are incredibly comfortable, the rooms are gorgeous and well-appointed (some of them even have little balconies where you can enjoy breakfast/a glass of wine), the floors and toilet seats are heated (!!) and the robes are fluffy. Sam's general cafe serves delicious savory breakfast (loved the frittata cups and avocado toast), sandwiches & salads, and a wide variety of excellent coffee (grapefruit cold brew for the win) which you can enjoy on the gorgeous patio or lawn or by the fire pit. Perfect place for a Calistoga getaway! My husband and I were lucky enough to get married in an intimate ceremony at Brannan Cottage Inn in June of 2023. Nichole Brown was an absolute DREAM to work with and helped to bring our vision of a "backyard wedding ceremony" to life. Not only did she help troubleshoot many of the design elements and coordinate the entire menu (serving dinner in the CUTEST picnic baskets of all time), but Nichole went above and beyond by staying on site to support us throughout the event. She thought of all the little details and by the end of it she felt like a good friend. The property is so beautiful and the architecture really lends itself to stunning photos. Room 5 gets tons of natural light and is spacious enough for bridal hair and makeup. If you are looking to have a smaller, intimate wedding in the Napa Valley, we highly recommend Brannan Cottage Inn. We cannot wait to come back to visit!

Yelp
Brannan Cottage Inn is lovely, cozy place for sipping some tea or coffee and relaxing. It has a clean aesthetic that feels both modern and homey. There isn't a whole lot of indoor seating, but it's a great place to enjoy another person's company or reading.

Yelp
This is an ADORABLE little inn in Calistoga walking distance from everything you might need in downtown. While they don't have on-site parking, street parking is ample. We cycled to the hotel, so we had no issues, and they had some on-site bike parking as well (though we chose to keep our bikes in the room). The cottage is a charming bungalow style with great outdoor spaces on both sides, the little breakfast area/shop is really cozy with excellent prices on coffee drinks and a lovely little fireplace to warm you up in the mornings (when you can sit there, sadly COVID restrictions were in place when we visited). A few quirks - we booked on Chase Sapphire points and it definitely was noted on our arrival. We were told that by not booking directly we would not get the same perks (breakfast, etc.) and we also were given a room RIGHT next to the breakfast area with the coffee machines sharing a wall with our bed, and the tables outside our room meant that if you were not a morning person - you might not be pleased with Room 1. Next time I would ask for a room near the back of the hotel, if possible. We also had a number of USB ports that didn't work and our toilet ran quite a bit (I actually went in and fixed it overnight). The room itself was cozy, clean and nicely updated. We found the staff helpful overall, and in the morning when I talked to the barista about gluten free pastries and keeping some safe for Celiac guests (not on the shelf with other wheat pastries) she was extremely receptive. Overall this is a very charming place to stay, but I'd be curious if the experience is much different with direct payment rather than points or third party sites. Personally, I like to explore places with points and then I'll come back over and over directly if I like the place, so given that context, I appreciate places that give the same perks to all guests.

Yelp
Cutest most comfortable cottage. Fireplace, espresso maker, heated toilet seat, rain shower, comfortable bed! It is perfect. Would love to stay again!

Yelp
The Brannan Cottage Inn is truly a special place. We spent 3 nights here to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Nicole S., the hospitality director, was messaging us proactively before we arrived, even offered to upgrade us to her favorite room after the first night (she wanted to the first night, but the room was booked). We said yes, and she made it happen flawlessly. Both rooms were beautifully and thoughtfully appointed, modern, yet keeping with the historical nature of the property. Only six rooms! We stayed in Room 1 on the first night (so sweet and right next to the wonderful cafe - Sam's General Store) and then in Room 6 for the final two nights. Perched up with a private entrance, a split door to let the sunshine in, a fireplace and a little more room to spread out. We absolutely loved it!!! Now, let's move onto the service from Nicole S. and staff. It was like staying with family. The hospitality and quality of everything was felt. The wines and snacks chosen for the room, the coffee and food at the cafe, the fire pit and bikes...we never wanted for anything. All is a walk or bike ride away, so the location is optimal. Clearly, this is a place where locals come for coffee and delicious pastries/sandwiches/quiches/salads for breakfast and lunch. The beautifully landscaped grounds and seating are a buzz with guests and neighbors. And then, Nicole S. went beyond the call of duty in arranging for a private tasting with a vintner who also makes great whiskey :) Needless to say, we were a bit depressed leaving. We will definitely come back and hope that Nicole S. is there to greet us. Felt like we made a friend.

Yelp
This was the perfect way to spend our last few nights in CA. The room was luxurious and perfect. The staff was incredible. I loved all the contactless options for checkin and checkout. The general store was super cute and yummy. We also really liked the outdoor seating areas and the location.

Yelp
Fabulous location within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Tons of wineries are within minutes as well. Eden is a gem ... she will make sure your stay is enjoyable. Great coffee and snacks at the General Store on property.

Yelp
This year, my husband and I decided to try out a new place to stay for our anniversary trip in Calistoga and found Brannan Cottage Inn. I was up for the adventure but my husband is a creature of habit and was unsure about a new place to stay. Let me tell you, not only were we both pleasantly surprised, he told me he absolutely wants to come back next year. We had such a wonderful stay and everyone was just lovely and accommodating. Nicole helped us with all of our needs and then some, she was a joy to work with and I can't say enough amazing things about her and the way she truly makes you feel special, like family. The other staff were kind and always smiling, especially the crew at the cafe! The property is so cute and the patio area is the perfect place to eat or read a book. There is plenty of shade and fans when it's hot out. I loved that I was able to come out of our room and immediately walk onto the patio to read in the morning and then right over to the cafe for some breakfast. If I could give six stars I would, can't wait to come back!

Yelp
This place was absolutely perfect. The courtyard area was nice to chill in and relaxing. The room was comfy and clean. The staff was super helpful and friendly. They were so easy to reach, especially Nichole. Great Chai Vanilla tea at the general store. The location was so close to great wineries within calistoga so you could take the shuttle free!

Yelp
This place is beautiful! The grounds are well kept the room we stayed in was cute little small but comfortable . First night was good second we noticed the AC above bathroom door when we turned it off it was leaking liquid which was hard to get to the bathroom with water on floor, so we had (reported the problem) We went out for the day came back are room had been cleaned and we saw a small towel on floor under wall AC no bucket . So we took a nap turned on AC assuming it was working correctly later in the evening turned it off it was dripping water heavily so we turned it off . And put a bucket under which woke us up during the night drip drip . The room was hot during the night a plug in fan would have been nice to have on hand . This place is pricey as well I understand but it would have been nice to be notified the problem had not been taken care of or accommodated with the fan.

Yelp
We just returned from a stay in Calistoga to celebrate my husband's birthday. Brannan Cottage Inn was the perfect place to stay. Eden was so welcoming and helped me figure out a couple of great places to taste wine. The Inn was clean, quiet and the heated floor in the bathroom was a special treat! Thanks for making our trip relaxing! Our only regret is that we didn't book another night!!

Yelp
My fiancé and I (and our pup!) absolutely LOVE Brannan Cottage Inn! We've stayed there twice now and will definitely be back again soon. The rooms are gorgeous and have been recently (and beautifully) renovated, so the property is the perfect blend of a historic building with modern and very comfortable amenities. Recently we stayed in one of the fireplace rooms and it was the perfect room for our romantic getaway. The beds are so comfortable, the bathrooms are perfectly set up, and the fireplace room had a cozy sitting area that we loved. The customer service is beyond incredible (thank you, Nicole!!!) and the Inn is walking distance to everything. The General Store/ deli has delicious breakfasts too. Thank you, Brannan Cottage Inn for being the perfect place for us and our pup to stay in Calistoga!

Yelp
Wonderful place. Right off of the main street (across Indian Springs) and close to all the food places in Calistoga. We loved the room and wifey approves the heated floor in the bathroom. Only improvement could be better TV (HD channels and better programming). Eden was very helpful, she went beyond her way to suggest us few very good local restaurants for dinner, even suggested to make reservations beforehand (as things are pretty booked over weekends in Calistoga). Their cafe is great with strong coffee and delicious quiches.

Yelp
Came in to the SG store with a fussy baby for much-needed coffee () and was greeted and treated so pleasantly by the staff. When my near-walking pre-toddler demanded to be co-walked around, a sweet gal came out and I thought I was going to be chastised but she was so amazing! Engaged my baby and made me feel so welcome and happy. Siddy you're just awesome and so is your morning staff. Can't wait to stay overnight since you're baby (and dog!) friendly.

Yelp
We had a nice stay for an early anniversary celebration. This is a perfect place if you like a quaint, quiet vibe. The rooms were comfortable and the heated floors in the bathroom were a really nice touch. We walked to a great trailhead (Oat Hill mine) and also enjoyed being very close to the small downtown main drag, especially a grocery store. This place is within convenient driving distance to a ton of wineries, and Eden greeted us warmly and offered to help us set up activities if we needed the assistance. The inn is on a quiet street and served a great breakfast. All in all, would definitely recommend if you're planning a quiet weekend getaway where the focus is on relaxing and reconnecting!

Yelp
Follow up to my review of 8-8-18 A few days after my review GM Peter left me a voice mail asking to return his call. I have done so on several occasions but he has never been available and does not call back. I am attempting to contact owners - in hopes someone will resolve the issue of us being charged for a room we cancelled and did not use.

Yelp
My wife made an impromptu reservation as we decided to spend a mini honeymoon in wine country. This quick decision proved to be a good one, as we had an excellent stay here! From the beginning, Eden was very welcoming and was even gracious enough to upgrade our standard room to a private cottage with a balcony and fireplace. The boutique hotel grounds was set up nicely and seemed to be abiding by strict safety and hygiene protocols due to the pandemic. It is attached to Sam's Cafe, where you are you given breakfast vouchers in lieu of having breakfast served. Tons of restaurants and boutique stores within walking distance and many wineries within a short drive. Eden was nice enough to offer suggestions for nice dinner restaurants and made the reservations to one of our trip highlights (Solbar - AMAZING, 10-15 min walk from hotel). The room itself was very comfortable, with a firm yet soft bed. Keyless entry, His/Her bathrobes, heated toilet seat, heated bathroom floor, rainfall shower head, and fast wifi were all nice touches. Overall a pleasant stay, would come again and definitely recommend it to anyone looking to visit Calistoga!

Yelp
Loved love loved our stay at the Brannan Cottage Inn! Bed: SO comfortable and cozy, bathroom: CLEAN with heated toilet seat and tiled flooring, cleanliness: PERFECT and Eden the manager was very easy to contact and checking in and out was contactless and easy. Eden was so helpful and made our check in and check out very easy! We utilized the front patio seating for a little picnic, and the grassy area for some drinks and quiet time under the stars.

Yelp
This place is one of the oldest hotels in Calistoga and what a great location and the feel of the place is over the top I believe it's under new ownership and boy is he on it can't wait to get back up there going to book all the rooms and have a little family retreat this will be our go to place when we come up for a winetasting with having a relaxing time

Yelp
Absolutely lovely place! Modern without losing it's quaint appeal. Excellent service from too to bottom. We truly appreciate that they acknowledged our 25th anniversary. We will not wait another 25 years to come back. I highly recommend staying here. The free shuttle service is so nice to have, and there are so many restaurants within walking distance. We don't know what to do first!! The room is absolutely spotless and smells like clean linen! There are also modernized outlets for charging your phones, etc. but they haven't lost their B&B appeal!! Fresh flowers and heated floor tiles! It doesn't get any better than this.

Yelp
Very nice accommodations. Clean and excellent quiet location. The manager was very nice, knows a lot of information about the town, and very pleasant to be around. The rooms were clean and well decorated - very much like a nice B&B. It's a great place to stay while visiting wineries and w/in walking distance of the downtown.

Yelp
Just returned from a delightful stay at the Inn! Eden was most helpful with suggestions and hospitality. Some of the rooms are a little small but that is part of it's charm. Would have like the deli to be open at 7 am because we are early risers, but there was coffee in our room to tide us over. Loved the special touches and sitting outside in beautiful weather. They are abiding to the Covid regulations which can be challenging. It is convenient to the charming town of Calistoga. We will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
It is a lovingly restored cottage (one of the Brannan Hot Springs Resort originals) in a kickass location just off Calistoga main street. We chose this place as it was recommended to us by Indian Springs Resort across the road (who was booked out). Doug the owner was super hospitable, and eager to help us navigate the town. The breakfast served was hearty, quite typical B&B style. Agreed with Jess L that the furniture is antique, and the bed is SUPER squeaky and not so convenient for what couples do on weekends away. Our room (and seems all the rooms) have a large window facing the yard and the curtains on them are not really thick enough to give privacy. I would say it's probably a place my Mum would adore, For me? Hmmm I need thicker curtains and less antiques.

Yelp
We loved staying here. There are few inns that are dog friendly so our choices were limited. We planned on taking our pup everywhere as most of the wineries were also dog friendly. Our only problem was what were we going to do with him when we went to dinner. Judy, one of the owners, graciously offered to babysit him when we went to dinner. I offered to give her money, but she refused. It was a very nice, kind thing to do and we really appreciated it. Judy and Doug were the most gracious hosts. Doug made great recommendations and Judy killed us with kindness. The fact that we were a gay couple was a non issue. Plus, the breakfasts were delicious. I found myself trying to wake up in time to grab a bite, and even if I was late, Doug heated me up a meal anyway. BTW-- Judy's french toast was the best I have EVER hate. I'm using the recipe that's on the website. The parlor was so cozy. Our room didn't have a TV, but the parlor was readily accessible and we watched tv in it each night. The location is also great. It is on the expensive side, but treat yourself to it. We got a free night on New Years weekend.
google avatar

Melanie B.

Yelp
Great location! A beautiful short walk to downtown Calistoga. Doug and Judy were great hosts. Extremely attentive. Breakfast was fun and afternoon wine was perfection. We stayed in the Lavender Room. A bit weathered. Mold in the shower. So much clutter throughout the common area and the room. When we were getting ready for a formal evening, we plugged in ONE hairdryer and blew something out. Doug and Judy figured it out....but, only once we ran out of time and went to dinner with wet pony tails. The history of the property is fun...but, I wish the upkeep of the property was a bit more detailed. Overpriced for the level of deterioration of the property. Unfortunately, we will not be a repeat customer at that price.

Yelp
I'd give them 3-1/2 stars if I could. The pluses: - Location, location, location - minutes to walk into the charming town of Calistoga with all the shops & restaurants close by. - Doug & Judy - owners and gracious hosts of the Brannan Cottages Inn. Whether it be questions about internet access, restaurants, wineries, etc., they were always willing to help. - Charm - it's lovely. Our room had a four poster bed, fireplace, etc. - The Friday night wine & cheese gathering. - The thoughtfulness - it was our honeymoon, and when we returned from wine tasting one night, Doug & Judy had placed chilled champagne & flutes in our room. So nice. - Free internet. The minuses: - Squeaky, uncomfortable beds (at least in our room - The Rose Room). It also has squeaky floors, but that's to be expected given it was built in the 1860's! - Thin walls (we were kept up all night by the couple arguing next door); not necessarily something that can be fixed, but important to be aware of. Things to consider: - Some of the rooms are very exposed - on the ground floor with big windows and a walkway outside - although they have done a great job of providing "privacy blinds." Not necessarily a plus or a minus, but something to be aware of prior to booking. - I also think some of the rooms are more set apart / quieter than the others - could be good to ask about prior to booking. - Others mentioned price as a negative - but honestly, it seemed to be in a similar price range to most of the B&B's we found in Napa. All in all, a good stay.

Yelp
Very cute and entirely serviceable - your standard bed and breakfast, really. Plusses: gas fireplace in room, moderately priced for the area, the two host-owners were very nice, easy to walk to central Calistoga (thronging metropolis that it is). So-So's: Breakfast was cooked and tasty (better than cereal) but nothing super duper memorable. Minuses: Flowery decor, the curtains being structured so that either everyone outside had a full view of you or you have no light in the room, and INCREDIBLY squeaky bed and mattress + very thin walls = yikes. C'mon, innkeepers, you do have SOME idea what couples do in bed and breakfasts in Napa, right? Right? The final verdict is that when we go back to Calistoga next we'll probably stay somewhere else, but if everywhere in town was full we wouldn't be upset to stay here again. (If you really LIKE the flowery bed and breakfasts and aren't hyper-obsessive about your food like we are, you would probably rate this a 4-ish star place.)

Yelp
My husband and I decided to spend an evening in Calistoga last minute and stayed at The Brannan Cottage Inn. We loved it! It was so peaceful and we loved sitting outside on the patio while enjoying our breakfast (including homemade smoothies!!!). Eden was such a pleasure to chat with! We look forward to our next visit!

Yelp
Spent an amazing long weekend at Brannan Cottage Inn with my wife. The property is freshly refurbished victorian era property. Very clean and tidy gardens, at the quieter East end of town, great parking on site. We arrived mid-afternoon, greeted by Eden, as others have commented really friendly and helpful. She talked us through the local amenities such as the free on-demand Shuttle bus. We were shown to our room - the property has a only a handful. Had the room at the back of the property looking up the valley to the mountains. Complimentary wine and cheese plate kicked off our vacation. It has a small balcony with seating outside the room to rest up feet, and catch afternoon sun with a glass of wine. The room was very clean, light and airy, well equipped refresh. Fridge with complementary water in closet + gowns, really good pillow top bed - decent night of sleep, Illy espresso machine to pull us out of bed. Details like built-in USB charger points, large screen TV, with Netflix, AmazonTV, and DirectTV topped it off. Bathroom while a little small, had a great rain shower head, full set of towels/flannels, soap/shampoo etc. Street noise from was negligible and we sat outside in the afternoon and evening on both days. The neighbourhood was quiet by day, and very quiet overnight. The room had both AC and a fireplace, we needed neither - the room was a perfect 65F overnight. Great location just a couple of blocks from town made it easy to walk for breakfast, dinner, supermarket for snacks, bike rental etc. We liked the property and location so much, that we're going back for harvest at the end of summer.

Yelp
Fantastic stay-came up on a whim for one night over Memorial Day. We arrived rather late after a dinner in Napa and were welcomed by a complimentary bottle of wine and a cheese plate in our room. The high ceilings, comfortable decor, beautifully detailed bathroom features made this a place I would recommend to anyone. Complimentary bfast was light but the drip coffee was a nice touch and the baked treats were all fresh and local creations. Eden was a delight and super helpful in planning out not only our morning run but bike rentals as well. We will be back.

Yelp
The Brannan Cottage Inn is a quaint Bed and Breakfast. The building is from the mid-1800s and it has been kept up well. They have a cute little patio which is used for breakfast in good weather and appetizers/wine on Friday evenings in high season. There are a few different rooms with all the basic amenities. Parking is good and the location is 5 minutes walking distance to downtown Calistoga. Our experience was good, but far from spectacular. At arrival the owner is accommodating and kind. They have offers for wineries, restaurants and the free use of a natural mineral pool at a nearby spa/hotel. The reception room is nicely decorated and homey. The rooms are decorated in a similar way, but here comes the issue. The furniture is old and crammed into a small area. The bed in the rose room was so creaky and hard that we couldn't sleep. The shower was old and the bathroom door didn't close. However, its not all bad. I've stayed in a lot worse. Also, the owner was kind enough to let us change rooms and none of the above was a problem in the other room. Breakfast was excellent. There was a great selection of fresh fruit and cereal and then a hot breakfast is served to you and it is different every day. Very good. All in all I'm giving the place three stars and not four because I don't think it is worth the price you pay for it. For $200 a night I expect a good shower, floor space and a comfortable bed. If the owners take care of a few issues like getting new box springs and mattresses for the beds they could make the place worthy of the price tag.

Yelp
We come to Calistoga frequently and love to stay at the Brannan Cottage. It's like coming home, and Eden is not only a wonderful host but also extremely "in the know" when it come to the Napa Valley's people and places. After a blissful night's sleep, fresh pour-over coffee, homemade smoothies and fresh pastries await in the front room. The bedrooms are all unique, not super spacious, but all clean, comfortable and cozy. Enjoy yourself in Calastoga!! Best part of the Napa valley and the Brannan is walking distance from bustling "down town" and close to fabulous wineries.

Yelp
Just got back from our stay at the Brannan Cottage Inn and it was the most perfect place for a wine country getaway! It is the most quaint place nestled in the quiet streets of downtown Calistoga. Really loved the personalized attention we received from Eden who was truly fabulous and made us feel right at home! We loved the refreshing bottle of wine we received at check-in as it was the perfect start to our wine tasting adventures. This place has a complimentary shuttle that picks you up and drops you off at your convenience... what could be better?! The room was amazing as well - large king bed that was extremely comfortable, illy espresso machine, flat screen tvs with all the good stuff (HBO, Netflix, etc.), bath robes, fantastic rain shower, fire place, balcony - you name it! A+ for location, extremely close to all the restaurants, shops, grocery stores, spa! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back! Thank you Brannan Cottage Inn for a very memorable trip!

Yelp
Lovely place with a very warm and welcoming staff. Loved our stay there, easy walk to downtown, wine tasting, restaurants, and hiking. Good breakfast options, comfortable beds, and nice rooms. Got to mee the owner and clearly a place where they take pride in the small details. Definitely somewhere we'd stay again in the future. Added bonus: my wife left her phone charger in the room and they contacted us right away with an offer to mail it to us.

Yelp
We so enjoyed our recent stay at this well maintained, clean and comfortable historical inn. Our shower was spacious, and special attention and recommendations from Eden made a wonderful difference on our visit to Calistoga and surrounding Napa towns and vineyards. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I've stayed here three times and each time it gets better and better. I love the quaintness of this historic building (built in 1860). The squeaky beds have been de-squeaked and rooms are nicer and nicer each time. Doug and Judy are terrific hosts and very helpful with suggestions, as well as being extremely responsive to requests. The wine tastings in the evenings are great garden style intimate parties where you can learn about the specific processes of that wine and a neat history of that particular winery. There's an elaborate fruit and cheese tray along with other munchables to compliment the wine. It's all very tranquil. I'm not a big breakfast eater so anything is pretty much OK for me. I can vouch for their sausages at least. :) I've just signed on for a fourth visit next month, taking advantage of their weekday special (2 days/1 night) which includes two winery tours (including tram ride), one hour spa bath, one hour massage and a very nice dinner at one of the upscale restaurants. In the evenings, it's great to have some of the complimentary port and chocolates out on the leaning back giant lawn chairs. You can watch the stars start to appear and enjoy a nice cigar. I like the fact that there's no TV, and if you're looking for something to do, there are some board games.

Yelp
We love staying here when we are in Calistoga. We have spent 3 nights ( 2 visits) in the past few months and have enjoyed the hospitality. The Inn is quiet and walking distance to the downtown. Eden is a very friendly and makes our stay perfect. The renovation is beautiful!!!!

Yelp
Brannan Cottage Inn was recommended to my husband and I for our weekend stay celebrating our anniversary. We pulled up to the picturesque building, and were greeted warmly by Eden upon entering the front door. She escorted us to our room (#3) which was simply charming! I LOVED the spacious bathroom with heated floors and a heated toilet seat. That was a very nice surprise since I typically run cold. Another nice feature is the Nest lock on the room door that is key less so you don't have to worry about loosing your key. The continental breakfast delicious, croissants, coffee, juice, and fresh fruit. Eden was very kind and hospitable throughout our entire stay. She even remembered a comment I made about shortbread cookies as I was checking in and left some for me when I checked out with a note even though she wasn't there. You can't beat the location, which is walking distance from shops, bars and restaurants. Do yourself a favor and book at Brannan Cottage Inn.

Yelp
My girlfriend, dog and myself had a beautiful two nights' stay here. The owner is super friendly. We loved the proximity to the town and the free port-wine! Our room was very cute and the breakfasts were super tasty with nutritious items. It was totally chill, laid back, relaxed. We would come back!

Yelp
We booked the (min) two night stay & after our first night, something came up w/our baby. So we had to cut our stay short. We were able to do it with no hastle. They were understanding & made our checkout easy which was greatly appreciated as we had other things on our mind... *The friendly/accommodating demeanor of the staff & management is worth 5 stars alone! If you are looking for a charming historic B&B with a updated modern feel & friendly staff this is it & worth the $$! Besides the above, this was what we liked about the property: Clean & Comfortable Beds Great Location (walking distance) to DownTown Sparkling Bathrooms(heated/cooled floor w/rain head) Quiet AC, TV & Expresso Machine & Small Fridge Modern Decor, staying true to Historic late 1800's feel Accommodating/Friendly Staff The only thing lacking was the outside ambiance. Workers were there working on the baren land. This was the first day of their re opening so I guess I will let that slide. ;) Something to look forward to on our next stay!

Yelp
My friend and I wanted to spend a best friends weekend in Calistoga and found this place and we're so glad we did. We kept talking about how BCI has all of the history, charm and uniqueness of a B&B but with the amenities, luxury, service and cleanliness of a big luxury hotel. I could go on and on on the little things (USB outlets in the walls, heated bathroom floors, nice Illy coffee machine in the room, fresh on-demand smoothies and organic pour-over coffee at breakfast) or the big things (really beautiful rooms, luxurious beds, across the street from restaurants and spa services, down the street from town, really sweet attentive service). Take your pick. It's a great place to stay and I would say you'll have a really lovely time there.

Yelp
I unfortunately had a "whine" weekend when my back started bothering me. Eden at the BCI was an angel! She made me coffee and let me know where I could soak the pain away. My room was comfortable and I was in the ADA unit which would be a great room for anyone with a disability. I will be back for a "do-over" and a real wine weekend so I can enjoy Calistoga! Thank you BCI!
