"Al Fresco Concerts in the Shipyard The old shipyard at the island of Brännö, 20 minutes by boat from Saltholmen, is a good summer hangout. The shipyard itself has been around since 1949, but in recent years has started arranging concerts and has opened a laid-back restaurant/bar for when the yard itself is emptied of boats during summer. Local bands play while summer visitors and year-round inhabitants gather to enjoy the music in the open-air setting. The Brännö Varv also has B&B facilities if you don’t feel like leaving. And there is a real chance you won’t!"

We took a coffee (espresso not available), a small piece of cake and a beer all for 15 euros. The place is not really clean...and...I really do not find the way to describe it. Some people may like this kind of place, nothing for us, sorry.

If you like and are ok with a tent this place is great. We were 9 people. We got our own lunch and dinner. Breakfast next was included. We used the kitchen in the main house . There is a restaurant nearby. It was a great stay. Dry weather is a plus.

Easily accessible via public transit ferry from Gothenburg proper. Friendly owners, great breakfast, and bikes can be borrowed to explore the island. Beautiful rooms and the entire inn has marine decor with Scandinavian simplicity. One of my best stays around Gothenburg. Minutes away from nice beaches for bathing or sunbathing on the island. Highly recommended.

I will remember this place for a long time. Absolutely brilliant for the room rate! Perfect place to relax in the sun in the garden browsing all the books and then go for a long walk around the island. Very spacious rooms compared to other Swedish B&B's I have stayed before. There is a kettle, so you do not have to bring one along. Bring an eye mask when here in spring/summer as the windows do not have any curtains

This used to be a nice place. Now it's an overpriced mess. I live in Gothenburg and used to come here most summer days. The food wasn't a 5 stars experience but it was an all around nice experience. Now I get an ovebaked pizza, return it, just to have an argument with the cook about the fact that I don't know what I am talking about, he is telling me to lift up my pizza to look under and see that it is actually fine. So next time guys, look under the pizza. I finally win the debate with a refusal just to get a new pizza without one of the main ingredients. I suggest you stay away, it's pricey. There is another option on the island, it's an actual restaurant but even the local mini market is a better option.

It's very lovely and cozy place!! It's very fit with Brännö Island, definitely should come by when you're visiting the Island. In the nice summer day it's actually make yiu feel like you are at some Island in Thailand at someway 😄😄😄

Nice and clean rooms, very individual decorated, looks more like being visiting a friend, than a hotel. 4 rooms share a bathroom, which is a big one, with window to the sea side. No problem with timing or noise because of that. Room was quietly, so it was a very relaxing time. The breakfast has all you need in the morning and there are many outside places where you can go to and take your breakfast with sea view or garden view.|People's who are working there are nice, polite and helpful in every way.|They are also running a bar, where you can eat an outstanding crab sandwich. One slice of dark bread with a bunch full of crabs. We shared it with two, because it was such a big thing.|The bar offers different types of beer, wine and cocktails and is a nice place to stay, when you come back from days activities.|The interior is a bit ... different. It looks like it has been collected in many years and wherever there was a chair, sofa, desk who was not any more needed in a house, it did find his way into the bar. Makes it even more special and some kind of cozy.

While on a ferry trip we found this small quaint cafe restaurant.|At first you think you are on the movie site for a Mad Max movie and then you question whether or not the place is somewhere you are prepared to risk eating a meal.| | The toilets nearby are far from up to speed and then the red carpet leading to the cafe grabs your eye. There appears to be a small entertainment area set up in a junk yard style nearby.||We decided to venture further and walked out the deck where a few people were having drinks and eating food.|| As our confidence improved we ordered food and coffee.|To our delight the food was excellent and the lass at the service counter was able to provide a gluten free wrap for the one of us that requires gluten free food. We had to pay by credit card as they do not accept cash but the food was very nice.||It is a quaint experience and one that you treasure when travelling in another country far from home.
