Food was great, we came during a shift swap so it felt like we were being hurried to close out. But the atmosphere you can’t beat. Excellent martinis and lobster roll.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Lobster roll was good (but not great). My wife loved her salad with grilled shrimp. Great service and beautiful view on the patio looking out at the harbor. Prices were in line with the rest of Nantucket.

The only good thing about this place is the view and the convenience, I suppose, if you’re staying in the hotel. Got a salad and it was mid at best. The ingredients were fresh- 5 stars, but lacked seasoning or any sort of flavor. We also got the lobster Mac and cheese and again, no flavor. Just tasted like milk. Husband got a cocktail and had to get another one cause it was off and even the new one was just tolerable. For the price and the quality of their ingredients it was sad. Only giving 3 stars because of the view otherwise it would be two. Our server was very kind.

Google
I ordered the "Nantucket in a Bowl" ($59) and it was extremely bland. The seafood was flavorless and sat in and absorbed another bland tomato broth that even further made the seafood lose its flavor. The dish also lacked any sort of cohesiveness other than "seafood in a bowl" and the flavor reflected it. However, the waiting staff was very kind and was more than willing to listen to my criticism and explained what the menu creators were aiming for in the dish. They even offered to let me speak to the manager about my experience but I didn't want to put anyone in an awkward position, so I declined. Regardless of this, though, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates food.

Beautiful terrace with a view. You can also take a little walk on the deck. Really liked the lobster eggs Benedict. The service was nice and friendly. Thank you Guillermo!

Great spot with friendly people.Amazing wine selection from all over the world.

Google
For the first course, we started with the delightful bread basket. The selection was so fresh and yummy. I would definitely recommend getting this as a starter for a group dinner. As for the main course, we shared the 14oz Wagyu New York Strip Steak. This was more than enough for two adults, however next time I am really looking forward to the BPG Lobster Bake A huge thank you to Peter, Stephan, and Judy for the wonderful hospitality, you all truly made the experience special.

Great atmosphere and beautiful views. We ordered the oysters, Nantucket lobster roll, bpg lobster Mac and cheese, beef tartar all of which were delicious! Customer service here and at the hotel were phenomenal. I would most surely recommend.

Yelp
What an amazing evening we had here thanks to our AMAZING server Marko! As tourists we didn't know what to expect and we were very pleased. We enjoyed it so much I came back the next day for lunch. The frozé is quite the most refreshing delicious thing I've ever had. The Bloody Mary comes from a premade mix in house that isn't too spicy. Their espresso Martinis are made with rum which I'm usually not a rum fan and WOWZA! We started our first experience with the Sirloin steak tagliatta, the amount of flavor packed into a starter was unbelievable! It was mouth watering. The Nantucket in a bowl hit all the seafood cravings I needed! Their ribeye was absolutely cooked to perfection! It can get cool in the evenings sitting outside after a day in the sun, however the environment is beautiful looking right onto the waterway. This restaurant was an anniversary evening dream!

Yelp
We had a beautiful Birthday dinner here with an amazing view. Service was excellent . The taste of Nantucket Bowl was superb .

Yelp
My family ate breakfast and dinner at Brant Point Grill. Both times the staff were friendly and welcoming. The chicken dish was delicious. The views from the patio are beautiful and seating area was spacious and comfortable. Pricey but worth it for location and quality of food.

Yelp
Food was very tasty. I had the chicken tender and juicy. My friend had the halibut great sized portion. Loved the clam chowder and bread assortments. The service was spectacular. The whole service team worked together for a wonderful experience. Great view, We were able to watch the ferries and boats come in and out.
google avatar

Yelp
The service and setting was good, but the food was mixed. Our server was really friendly and accommodating when I asked to make a change to the halibut entree. We sat outside and it was really pretty. They had heat lamps so the temperature was comfortable. We got the bread basket, tuna tartare, and I had the halibut with the tuna sides. The hummus in the bread basket was good, but the actual bread was a little disappointing. There was a flat bread stick thing and olive bread. Given you were paying for the bread ($7), I expected it to be better. The tuna in the tuna tartare was too soft and the dish was lacking a texture. I did think the pineapple was a nice addition. The tuna sides that I got with my halibut were good (cold soba noodles, bok choy, kimchi), but the halibut was a little tough and could've used more flavoring.

Yelp
A busy but nice restaurant for hotel guests. Off-season, it's probably a good date-night spot for locals too. Pictures are from dinner, pool-service (technically not Brant Point Grill), the bar, and room service during our stay!

Yelp
Let's be real: you go to a place like Brant Point Grill for the view, not the food. But with prices like it has, I would at least except impeccable service, and that was perhaps the worst part of the meal. Everything on Nantucket is expensive, and Brant Point Grill was no different. The food was fine, even good, but nothing to write home about. The Lobster Mac n' Cheese, burger, and truffle fries were all good, but no better than anything I had had off-island for less. The drinks (a tequila cocktail and an espresso martini) were likewise good, and strong, though under-garnished. But. But, the real problem with this restaurant was the service. First, he asked if we wanted bread before we had even looked at the menus at the same time as taking our water order, so we agreed not realizing it was an extra charge of $7. The bread was delicious, but this approach felt underhanded and off-putting. And then our waiter rushed us SO MUCH the meal was in no way relaxing or enjoyable. He rushed us to order, rushed our food, rushed our bill. Our food arrived before we had barely taken a sip of our cocktails, and we were done our entrees within 35 minutes of sitting down. He brought our check before we were done our second round of drinks, and well before we were ready to go. I understand they have people to seat so they need to move the tables, but 90-120 minutes is a very standard dining time and we were there barely 70--and that was us pushing it, not our waiter. If the restaurant wants to impose an hour's time limit, they should clearly state that when the reservations are made and no longer consider themselves a leisurely, luxury restaurant. And we were not the only table this was happening to--we overheard two woman insist to the waiter that they wanted to sit and enjoy their drinks, as he kept bothering them. Absolutely ridiculous.

Yelp
Excellent food and service at this hotel restaurant. Located inside the White Elephant main building. The ambience was quite simple and modern which is what I was not expecting for the price level. The attire is casual smart. Because there was a convention in town there was a huge tent construction outside where normally the restaurant would be on the patio seeing the seaport view, there was not much to see from our window view table. The food was known for their mac and cheese lobster which was excellent! It actually is not on the heavy cream side it is more on the authentic lobster bisque consistency which made it incredibly delightful and nice chunks of lobster meat in this dish. Then we had fall off the bone lamb shank. It was made incredibly well. The oysters were perfect since they were from Nantucket. The ice cream was homemade and my favorite was matcha and they had coffee and raspberry swirl fruit. The service was excellent with probably trained, friendly and inviting. All overall my experience was good. I'd like to come back when I could eat outside

John M.

Yelp
First-class experience The staff was very welcoming, professional, and attentive. It's the perfect place for a special occasion. The view from the dining area is spectacular. The meals were perfectly prepared. Don't bother looking for a better place.

Yelp
Excellent atmosphere with outdoor seating on the wharf. The menu is slightly limited. The tomato and burrata is excellent and has good flavors and is fresh! The halibut was the best I have ever had due to the corn sauce that was utilized. The berries and cream was very good. The cheesecake was just eh. Service was just okay and seemed confusing as I think we had 3 servers at one point as I think it was shift change?

Yelp
While staying at the hotel, we had some great meals here. While the prices are incredibly high ($16 for clam chowder), it's to be expected when it's a at a hotel, on an island, and you've got beautiful harbor views. It was super nice being able to pop in for a drink and some apps in the evening, or for a nice breakfast or lunch. Nate at the bar was our favorite part about Brant Point Grill! He was so friendly and made some great recommendations. His espresso martini was also the best I've ever had. Don't miss it! Some items that really stood out were: - Great Point Oysters - Nate's espresso martinis - Chocolate lava cake - Fruit plate (perfect light breakfast)

Jennifer M.

Yelp
It was so loud so couldn't hear anyone at your table. There was a tent over the outside table and then they were setting up a tent in the lawn for an event. The view that is usually spectacular was nonexistent. There w Is a $100 cancellation fee that should have been excused due to "construction". Service was quick but order requests, no onions, was ignored. And food was pedestrian at best. The crew was friendly and efficient but I won't go back. Expensive and really just hotel food w a nice wrapper.

Yelp
My friends and I had a phenomenal lunch at Brant point grill. The food presentation and the extra special touches make this restaurant memorable. We enjoyed delicious cocktails overlooking a beautiful landscape. We were under a tent and socially distant and felt perfectly safe. My friend had a epic lobster roll that she was raving about. I enjoyed the excellent ceviche. It was an ample portion of brightly seasoned seafood and micro greens etc. I love the light and airy crispy rice paper addition as well. My other friend had a beautiful mixed green salad. We all shared the burrata that was presented beautifully and tasted excellent. When I visit the island I will surely make Brant Point Grill One of my top priority. Our meal was by far a five-star lunch.

Yelp
My husband and I ate here one evening during our honeymoon two weeks ago, May 26. The hostess immediately greeted us with a smile when we walked in and we were promptly seated outside on the patio that was closed in. It was chilly outside, but we were perfectly comfortable inside! We got oysters and the bread sample for apps, which were delicious. We wanted to order more oysters, but knew our entrees would be more than enough. I got the lobster mac from a recommendation I read online, which was a great choice. It was delicious! While not cheap (it's lobster), the portion was quite large, bigger than I expected. There were also huge chunks of lobster in it which absolutely justified the price. If I had to choose one meal to eat for the rest of my life, this would be a contender. Our waiter was exceptionally nice. He offered great suggestions on sparkling wine and food when we asked for recommendations. He was very attentive, but not overly so. The experience was the total opposite from our dinner at CRU two nights before. Brant Point Grille and the staff restored our faith in our dining experiences for the week :) We will be back -- and will be booking a room at the White Elephant for our next trip!

Yelp
We were in search of a quick lunch while on Nantucket and we look dup this place. It was very fancy and mostly filled with hotel guests. However, they have a great selection of seafood staples and just really nicely done lunch entrees. The Lobster Mac & Cheese is definitely the standout. We got one and split it as an appetizer. This was a good move as it is very heavy and fairly large portion. If you are looking for a fancy lunch on the island. Definitely check out this place.

Yelp
Had dinner and lunch on different days. Lunch: we had the Caesar salad very solid. The prime burger cooked perfectly and veggies home garden fresh. Fries were top notch. Dinner: Clam bisque very very good you could tell how fresh everything was. Lobster was fresh and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend for any occasion or time.

Yelp
This was the best meal of the trip. Birthday meal, too!!! Lobster Roll was heavenly - perfectly grilled rolls, hearty amount of Lobster. The Tenderloin was perfectly cooked. The grilled root vegetable side was SO GOOD that I accidentally asked for them at a different restaurant the next night. Oh... and the Ceviche and Oysters. Died and gone to heaven. Sorbets were such a special treat. Thanks for celebrating my Bday with me!

Brad P.

Yelp
We have been going here for years. The food and service are exceptional. One of our favorites on island. ...and 20 years later, the view has not gotten old.

Yelp
What a great location! Beautiful patio with awning overlooking all of the action in the harbor! There is a large grassy area with corn hole and red wagons for kids to run around. We had Aleksandra as our waitress. She was friendly and attentive. For food, we ordered short rib tacos, the BHG burgers, and a kids mac and cheese. We also got a side of onion rings. The food quantity was plentiful and each dish had great flavor. The taco short ribs tasted like they had been simmering for hours and the burgers came with a truffle aioli that made the burger. On a busy summer afternoon, it wasn't super crowded. This restaurant is off the beaten path but well worth the five minute walk. We loved not being rushed and just enjoying the ambiance.

Yelp
Our server was great. Food was okay. Wanted to leave a review so that fellow people with allergies are aware that we had an incident where after we notified our waiter of a deathly allergy, the food still came out with the ingredient we are allergic to. The server was great and brought it back with no problem to be remade. The manager came to the table and made it OUT TO BE OUR FAULT. He said this was because someone else at the table ordered a meal with the same ingredient. I am usually very understanding in this circumstance because I understand it can be difficult to accommodate allergies. But, saying that the incident was our fault and offering no sympathy or way of making it up to us is inexcusable. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with allergies.

Yelp
I ordered the lobster salad, and was glad I did. The dill is perfect, and the salad was fresh and healthy! My friend got a lobster roll, and loved it. We sat outside under a tent. There is a beautifully manicured lawn with games for adults/kids, and the view overlooks the harbor. I was here with a group of ladies for a bachelorette lunch, and the wait staff was attentive while not rushing us. Great spot!
google avatar

Gerry D.

Yelp
The view here is gorgeous. Sat outside looking right at the harbor. The wait staff was very nice and helpful and the menu had a lot of options. The oysters were good, steak was a little overcooked, overpriced and really salty. The star here was the signature lobster mac and cheese. This mac and cheese was AMAZING!! Definitely one of the best I have had. Huge chunks of fresh lobster meat in a creamy alfredo sauce. Recommend this place for the pasta and the view.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
This place is absolutely incredible. We had a table in the sand overlooking the ocean, which created an amazing ambiance. The food and drinks are pricey but worth it. Everything we had tasted so delicious! I had oysters as a starter and lobster for my main entree, and both were to die for. The service was amazing as well. I will make it point (no pun intended) to come here every time I come back to Nantucket. It's hands down the best restaurant in the area. Make sure you make a reservation in advance, because it gets booked out quickly.

Yelp
We dined at The Brandt for our anniversary. It was blustery and rainy on the outside, but the ambience was warm and welcoming on the inside. Their wine list is extensive. Our server, Ramon, was engaging and attentive to our needs. My wife ordered the halibut, while I ordered the lobster mac & cheese. Both were perfectly cooked and delicious. For a romantic dinner on the island, we recommend The Brandt.

Yelp
I recently was hired for a new "dream job" and my husband and I thought it would be wonderful to go out on the town and celebrate. We decided on going to Brant Point Grill after seeing their $39 - 3 course dinner special on Mahon About Town. I know some of the reviews on here are pretty harsh - but I could not have possibly been happier with our choice and our evening. To start, when we made our reservation through OpenTable, I notated that we were celebrating my new job. The second we walked into the establishment, I was being congratulated on the new job and we were quickly whisked away to a table right "up front" with a beautiful view of the sunset harbor (despite arriving 30 minutes early to our reservation). Our waiter offered us complimentary glasses of Proscecco to toast the occasion which we gratefully took him up on. Upon our waiter - he was fantastic! I am kicking myself for not getting his name because I wanted to give him a personal shoutout for making my special night extra special. He was tall, thin, short blondish hair, working the night of June 1st. Hopefully anyone from the establishment reading this will know who it is and high-five him for me. :) But all that to say - he was great. Very knowledgable when we had questions and quick to give fantastic recommendations which we are so happy we took him up on. Despite looking over the full menu, we settled on the $39 3-course special - and every plate was fantastic. I will admit I was jealous of my husband's porkchop because it was DELICIOUS - but the seafood pasta I got was tasty as well. :) Dessert was a DREAM! I got the rhubarb mousse with a little cookie spoon on top (YUM!) and my husband got the Baked Alaska which I cant even begin to describe, but was super delicious and flavorful. If I had any complaints at all about this place, it would be the price of the drinks themselves. I believe the cocktails were about $16/each. But, ya know, that's kinda just Nantucket. For a couple like us, this may not be the kind of place we could go every week - but it's definitely a place for special occasions and I do not regret a dime spent. Thank you so much, Brant Point Grill, for making my night so very special. This is a date night my husband and I will not soon forget. We will DEFINITELY be back!
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
Probably the best filet mignon I've ever had in my life. It was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth. The side of Mac and cheese exceeded my expectations with its very well seasoned sauce. My only complaint is that the waiter did not come in very frequently to check on us. My drink was gone for a solid 10-15 minutes before he came back to ask us how we were doing. It's a little on the pricey side but you definitely get what you are paying for food wise. It is my new favorite restaurant in Nantucket. If you are looking for high quality filet this is the place to go.

Merrill J.

Yelp
Gorgeous view. Good service. Totally disappointed after first bite. French fries cold & flavors unimaginative. Need to have food match the view. Waiting for better food reviews before returning.

Michael C.

Yelp
Excellent atmosphere great cocktails views friendly staff menu is very good. I come back every year
google avatar

Maria H.

Yelp
You can enjoy a beautiful lunch looking out into the Nantucket Harbor. I had a delicious lobster roll that focused on the sweet tender flavor of the lobster, not overly done with mayo or onion. The bread was toasted and also had a delicious flavor. The French fries were crispy and the lightly salted crunch enhanced my lobster. The most excellent part of my lunch was drinking an ACK sunrise cocktail in a beautifully delicate martini glass. My husband gobbled up his vegetable gnocchi and savored every bite! Thank you for the most delectable afternoon!

Yelp
Just back from a week in beautiful Nantucket. There are so many excellent restaurants to choose from but this isn't one of them. Hugely disappointing considering it's also one of the more expensive on the island. Our food was not hot and when half the table sends back their food because it's cold it's never a good experience. Them to be told well it's served that way. I know we won't be back.
google avatar

Bryan L.

Yelp
Never mind your wallet and enjoy yourself at this expensive spot . The cocktails and foods are top notch . Most popular dishes seems to be the burger or lobster roll with delicious fries . Wines by the glass can pair well with the entree - ask your waiter . Joe bob says thumbs up but prepare to drop some coin .....

Sandra S.

Yelp
Excellent lobster roll! A bit pricey, but I ate every bite of it and I was stuffed when I was done. I ate at the bar and it was very enjoyable.
google avatar

Lori B.

Yelp
Outstanding lobster, beautiful setting, and great service. They have seating inside and outside (with heaters over the outside tables, just in case it is cool outside), and a bar area too. The yard outside the patio seating area is perfect for restless kids to run around.

Lachlan S.

Yelp
I ordered a burger here medium and it came completely over cooked. For a $30 burger, I was unimpressed. The fries were cold aswell. The waitstaff was great, but for the price, I was not impressed.

Hailey M.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible service. I have ordered one martini and this restaurant decided to cut me off thinking that I drank too much. I would never go back after how disrespectful and judging this place was.
google avatar

Antony G.

Yelp
I made a reservation here a month ago to celebrate an anniversary dinner with my wife. I told the restaurant it is our anniversary and that we wanted a nice view. A week before our reservation, we received a voicemail saying that our reservation was going to be moved indoors because they have a private event going on outside. The voicemail said they were letting us know "in case we want to make other plans." Essentially, the got a big ticket private party and moved their already made reservations indoors to accommodate. Needless to say I won't be dining here and I am left with a week to scramble to figure out engagement dinner plans.

JohnPaul A.

Yelp
Tomasz was the the best bartender! Amazing spot on the water with great drinks and service!

Jim S.

Yelp
On a recent trip to Nantucket with my wife we visited the Brant point Grill. It is without the worst place that we went all weekend. Service was horrible. The atmosphere was horrible. And the food was absolutely terrible. Save your money and go someplace else.

Chloe R.

Yelp
No no no. Made a reservation for my party of 11 as far in advance as I could. Then was called the other day (about 1 week before reservation) and told they couldn't accommodate us. Now it is too late to make reservations elsewhere, thanks a lot! Whoever called me blamed it on a new hostess. If I were the manager I would offer to treat myself and a guest to a meal, since this was their screw up, but all they kept saying was, "we could do a round of drinks or an appetizer if you come in later." No thanks.
google avatar

Stan B.

Yelp
Favorable dining experience. Walked in, was nicely greeted/seated. Menu was sparse, however, lobster mac/cheddar hit the spot but was pricey. Server was Portuguese, very pleasant. The patio seating overlooking flowers, yard and bay was nice

Steven M.

Yelp
Had dinner last night. Ridiculously overpriced for what it was..... and our server looked miserable. Service was NOT good. Despite this, because it was Stroll weekend, and there aren't many options for food for a party of 7, we came back for brunch. STUPID MOVE!!! it was worse. The buffet once again was weak. And the line was out of control. Waited 45 minutes in line for an omelette- just pitiful. For a "luxury resort" they need to step up their game. We won't be coming back.

James S.

Yelp
While my family liked this restaurant I found it lacking - the salad was OK but quite soggy with dressing, my second drink order never arrived, and my coffee was cold. I never post reviews but this was not what I expected for the money. Perhaps it was just a bad night!
google avatar

Luckie D.

Yelp
Before I begin let's agree this isn't for the budget minded. Brant located in the White Elephant hotel is far above average. Before joining the Grand tasting of the Nantucket wine festival I decided to get a good base as tastings can easily turn into a long day of wine and fun. I started with the Pappardelle and clams. Tremendous taste. The noodles are made from scratch and were very light and flavorful. The clams were fresh and paired nicely with the sauce, garlic and tomatoes. I simply cannot remember having better. I then followed with a hamburger topped with cheddar cheese and bacon and a side of fries. Both selections were fresh, flavorful and arrived properly cooked as well as presented beautifully. The service was attentive but not bothersome and the décor made you feel like a lucky guest of some wealthy island based family. All in all a very good experience.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Beautiful place, great food and excellent service...need I say more. Ok, I will. A few of the highlights to our meal were the lobster mac & cheese, seared tuna, and the 2 lb lobster.
google avatar

J. B.

Yelp
All-in-all you pay for the view and to be on Nantucket, more than the actual food, which shouldn't really be a shocker to anyone. My wife and I split the burger and the chicken sandwich for brunch, after slurping down some local oysters. The burger was nothing special in any way; no specialty blend of beef and it lacked salt. The chicken sandwich was fine and all, but nothing standout. They were featuring Frog's Leap wine, so that was a nice daytime treat.
google avatar

Don Y.

Yelp
What an experience!!! If you like beautiful views of the harbor while eating, this is your spot! We had a wonderful night. Service was outstanding, the food was incredible. We had 6 in our party. We started with some chowder, seafood ceviche, tomato and burrata salad and oysters. All the apps were so fresh taste, especially the ceviche. The entrees were a homerun , tenderloin, gnocchi and lobster entree. You can't go wrong with any of them, all depends on your mood. I will certainly be going back before vacation is over, maybe a few times!

Woodfinn L.

Yelp
Amazing food, service, and location !! Had the borrata and chicken - both very tasty. Had a birthday celebration with us and the staff brought out cupcakes for the table with candle to make it even more special.
google avatar

Yelp
A bit pricey, but worth it! Surf and turf was fabulous! Wait staff was terrific and views were great.
