Labuta is not what I’d describe as a tourist trap. We dined on a Friday night and found the street out front packed with locals, including folding beach chairs set up along the sidewalk and people drinking Heinekens in anticipation of the samba circle forming at the bar across the street.
The interior of the restaurant was quiet and the staff may seem initially aloof, but that’s probably a function of them trying to navigate the language barrier. Portion sizes are a bit smaller than how they appear in online reviews, but the smoky flavors of the meat are outstanding.
