The lack of transparency in pricing was very frustrating. I booked a room for 3 nights through Booking.com, where the total amount in R$ plus taxes to be paid at reception is clearly stated. However, no matter how carefully I recalculated the charges, the final amount I was billed was higher than it should have been. The same issue occurred with the minibar, the prices listed in the hotel app are completely different from what you are ultimately charged on the final bill.
The hotel itself is pleasant, but it definitely does not meet a 4-star standard. The carpets and some of the facilities were visibly worn out, and there were stains on my bed sheets. I also expected the staff to be more helpful and welcoming.
The breakfast was nice, but the hotel’s remote location means you are more or less forced to have dinner at the on-site Oscar restaurant, which is quite expensive. I also considered using the hotel’s laundry service, but the prices were ridiculously high even for washing simple items, so I decided to use a public laundromat in the city center instead.
