My boyfriend and I were thrilled to dine at Brass Boer Bonaire for lunch, having already experienced its sister location in Curaçao. This spot is loved by locals and island vacationers, so reservations are a must.
Located in Punt Vierkant on the southwestern side of Bonaire, Brass Boer is part of the stunning Delfins Beach Resort. The restaurant is the creation of husband-and-wife duo Jonnie and Thérèse Boer, who are passionate divers and Dutch culinary innovators. With additional locations in Zwolle and Curaçao, their signature style blends modern techniques with local ingredients to create an unforgettable dining experience.
While the menu isn’t identical to the Curaçao location, there are familiar flavors with twists. The standout for us was the Dairy Cow Rib Steak, aged for six weeks and served with a perfectly executed Béarnaise sauce and crispy frites—a dish made for sharing. For dessert, the Thai Green Curry Sorbet stole the show. It’s an unusual mix of savory and sweet, featuring banana, basil, ginger beer, and pandan—a truly creative and refreshing finale.
If you visit, don’t miss the chance to book Table 14, an extraordinary dining spot with multiple layers of charm. Table 14 is a palapa, surrounded by gentle waves and breathtaking views, seats up to six people and holds a special connection to football legend Johan Cruyff. Decorated with plaques inscribed with his famous sayings and a table with his portrait. To tribute to his legacy, a portion of your bill at Table 14 is donated to the Johan Cruyff Foundation, which supports sports projects for children and youth worldwide.
Brass Boer Bonaire offers more than just a meal—it’s a celebration of flavor, culture, and community. Whether you're a foodie, a football fan, or simply someone who loves a unique dining experience, this is a must-visit destination on Bonaire.
