Brass Monkey Ice Cream

Went in because the shop looks really cool, with dark walls and gold details. Was allowed to try the Tonka Bean flavour before buying a scoop. The flavour was great, the consistency slightly less creamy than absolutely ideal but I expect that’s because all of the ice cream is made in-house and organic, according to the very nice girl working there. Didn’t eat in but loved the decor. Food: 4/5 Ambience: 5/5 Service: 5/5

Excellent ice cream! The flavours are unique and they give you really big scoops. I got the saffron rose water - I loved it, however. I know this may not appeal to everyone so don’t try a new flavour if you’re not open minded, just stick with basics. Our friends tried the banana and hokey pokey, they also thought it was excellent. Overall very much recommend.

The chocolate sorbet is miles better than any icy sorbet I've had. Good quality chocolate. Located in the newer part of the lanes, has outside seating too.

Wow! Came in on a whim and was blown away by the creativity of the flavours on offer. I had the pedro ximenez (sweet sherry) and the rosewater and saffron flavours and both were stunning. The scoops were a super generous size, too!

Cardamon, sweet masala chai & the vegan chocolate. They were bomb!!!! Just skip all the other ice cream stores and go to this one!!!

Haven’t tried many ice cream shops in Brighton and most likely won’t after this experience! This place is so delicious! Organic ice cream made with locally sourced ingredients, and it’s some of the best ice cream I ever had. Friendly and accommodating staff, took the time let me taste all the flavors I wanted. The Saffron Rose water is a MUST TRY! The cardamon, salted caramel and bonka bean were delicious too! But the Saffron Rose water is a rare flavor and they’ve perfected it 😍

I have tried the mint chocolate chip, orange chocolate chip, salted caramel and the chocolate sorbet and every single one of these has been the best version of each flavour I have tried! As a self proclaimed ice cream and sorbet expert (I eat A LOT of the stuff). The texture, flavours and customer service is faultless. The passion from all the staff is abundantly clear, they talk about ice cream like a new mum talks about her darling babe. The decor oozes sophistication and makes me feel 80% cooler for being in there. I think I've found my new addiction. If your in Brighton, get yourself there! You wont be disappointed.

Amazing ice cream in Brighton!!! Not only is the ice cream to a high quality, they offered a range of flavours that are not your typical ice cream flavours. I had the ginger and chai masla flavours whilst my friend had the coffee and orange chocolate chip and would highly recommend!
