Brasserie Kaien Haugesund

We stumbled upon this restaurant during our day in Haugesund and it was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I ordered the baked cod with mash potato and it was incredible. The servers were very friendly here. Would highly recommend!

We visited Brasserie Brakstad a few weeks ago (May Day), when our cruise ship (Iona) called at Haugesund. We found this place when we got off the tour bus in the centre of town. Great seafood pasta, accompanied by 0,5l of Kronenberg.

Very poor service, we had to ask for everything ourselves, tapped water, napkins, bread. Very slow as well, we had to wait nearly one hour to get our soup and I sent mine back to the kitchen as it was really disgusting. Lots of cream and just a few pieces of fish and shrimp. Disgusting 😢 In the end we were only charged for one soup so that's why I give two stars....

Good staff, the food was 10/10. Highly recommended.

This is meant for their customer service. I was inquiring about renting a room for a private party. They stopped communicating after one email. That may be the sign you need to stay away?

Great taste, sea food pasta

The restaurant is located directly next to the canal, giving you a view of the ships. The menu offers things like burgers, steak and seafood. I choosed the the fish soup, which was generally tasty but a little heavy on the stomach due to the high cream content.
