This restaurant is tucked away in a small alley, yet that doesn’t seem to affect its popularity at all. We went there around 1:30 p.m. on a weekday, and it was completely full.
The atmosphere was lovely. You can choose to sit outside, enjoying your meal while watching the lively street scene, or dine inside for a more formal experience. The service was excellent. The waiter who served us spoke fluent English, was warm, attentive, and even had a great sense of humor.
We ordered several dishes:
Foie Gras de Canard Maison⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❌
Rich and flavorful, with that distinctive aroma and savory depth only good duck liver has.
Cuisses de Grenouilles⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The taste was somewhat reminiscent of a slow-braised dish, full-bodied and satisfying. The frog legs were incredibly tender, and the portion was generous.
Fish & Chips, Sauce Tartare ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❌
The fish was moist and fresh, with a delightfully crispy crust. The fries were average, a bit on the soft side.
Saucisse de l’Aveyron ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❌
A decent, straightforward sausage dish. Nothing particularly special, but solid and reliable.
Crêpes Maison ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❌
Three soft crêpes served with two sauces, chocolate and caramel. Both sauces were rich and flavorful, though slightly on the sweet side. It might be perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth.
Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience and one I’d gladly recommend to friends.
