Brasserie Guillaume

I ate dinner at Brasserie Guillaume in Luxembourg. The interior is lovely, particularly on the first floor. It's simple but comfortable, giving it a classic French brasserie vibe. In all honesty, my favorite part of the calamari was the rice. It was actually well-cooked, which says a lot about the rest of the meal. The calamari did not meet my expectations, and my Tarte Tatin was flat and boring rather than the amazing dessert it should have been. Despite reading glowing reviews about their seafood displays and extensive menu, my meal did not live up to the expectations. The service was excellent. The service was friendly and professional, as one would expect from a place with attentive staff. However, the food was not worth the prices charged. When compared to other restaurants in the same price range, this one did not provide enough value. Brasserie Guillaume has a fine reputation and a pleasant atmosphere, but personally, I didn't get good value.

Everything we had was excellent. The best scallops we ever had, cooked so differently. It is a tourist trap, but the food was great.

Every fish dish we tried was amazing, but the standout was definitely the raw St. Jacques scallops — fresh, delicate, and absolutely delicious!

One of the best brasseries in Luxembourg City! Great for lunch—whether you’re in a small group or need a larger table. It’s always a good idea to call ahead, especially if you’d like to sit on the terrace during the summer (the view on the Place Guillaume is lovely). Walk-ins are possible, but you might have to wait. The seafood is fantastic—my partner always goes for the sole, and it never disappoints. Everything is fresh, and the service is quick and professional without being rushed. It’s one of those places we keep coming back to. Highly recommend!

How is the place only 4.2 stars? I had dinner here and ordered the scallops starter and the king prawn. Both were amazing, some of the best I've had. Service was fine for me.

We passed this restaurant during a tour, we saw the fresh seafood and decided to come go dinner after a long day of sightseeing. We arrived a little after 5:30pm, main dining area tables are busy or have reservations until 7pm. We were accommodated in an area near the bar with 2 small table. They put the 2 small tables together. And we were very comfortable. Service is good, seafood is very fresh. Very good taste. We were so pleasantly surprised dogs are allowed inside the restaurant, we loved it. My tuna steak was perfect. Rice had a seafood flavor also. Everything was delicious. Totally recommend.
