A really pleasant surprise, and one that gets 5 stars for the extraordinary feat of giving me two enjoyable meals after two separate exhausting and stressful drives across southern Europe.
Yes: so good was my experience in the evening of my stopover in Cannes, enroute from Switzerland to the Costa Brava that I returned with my family on the way back two weeks later.
Clearly very popular with the locals, the restaurant is quite close to a busy road, which is probably the only drawback of the place.
The food is really good, the service excellent (the guy who served us appeared to be the owner and claimed not to speak English, but did a pretty good job of understanding my Pigeon French) and the overall feeling was one of enjoyment despite the place having been chosen only for its close proximity to our accommodation and not for being my sort of place.
A real, genuine thank you for two great meals!
