Rosie Lou is such a fantastic spot! The first thing you notice is the interior – it’s absolutely beautiful and has this lovely Basque Country influence that makes it feel both stylish and cosy at the same time. It’s definitely one of those restaurants where you enjoy just sitting and soaking up the atmosphere.
The menu is packed with French bistro classics like Croque Madame, snails and steak, but also has some fun, comforting dishes. We ordered the croquettes and the truffled mac and cheese to start and both were incredible – rich, crispy, cheesy, everything you’d hope for. When it came to the mains, the plates were absolutely huge. If you have a big appetite, this place is perfect. We struggled to finish ours, which just means you really get great value for money.
On top of all that, there are some fun little touches that make Rosie Lou stand out – like the cheeky special napkins that put a smile on our faces. It’s those small details that make the experience memorable.
