Brassey Hotel

I was very comfortable and enjoyed my stay. I can’t think of anything they could do differently - aside from update the bathroom, perhaps. Loved the aesthetic, the comfy beds, the service and the cleverness of being able to decline room cleaning for a day and earn a $10 mini bar credit. It’s smart that the mini bar is its own room rather than jammed into a mini fridge - there’s a good variety along with self service tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Nice fresh fruit at reception too.

It's a nice hotel! I had a great stay with no complaints. Some friends of mine in other rooms had a less enjoyable experience due to the noise the pipes made but I guess it's room dependent as I couldn't hear anything. Would definitely come back.

A very quaint heritage hotel not far from parliament house etc Stayed twice now for a conference in the nearby Realm Hotel. Some rooms have been renovated and updated. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Friendly management who are quick to attend to any issues.

We recently stayed at the brassey hotel, and the staff were amazing and went above and beyond our expectations. Special shout out to Michelle, who offered exceptional service, warm hospitality and was very accommodating. love the gardens love the gym love the restaurant The rooms were clean and very comfortable. I had a great stay at this solid 4 star hotel. It was clean and well equipped, with a great gym, spa and pool. The staff were very professional and take good care of guests and one the very few early 20th century hotels in the region. My only gripe was I had to tend to a few things on arrival which was a little annoying (e.g. there was no cutlery in the room, the coffee machine didn't work properly nor did the phone, the TV was not powered on and soap dispensers hadn't been refilled). While it's clear the carpets and decor could do with an upgrade and bathrooms can be quite basic, what was provided was more than adequate. I have no reservations recommending the Brassey when in Canberra.

Room was nice, good tv. But the bed was extremely uncomfortable could barely sleep. Collapsed in some parts and completely uneven. Also someone decided to start drilling the room next to me at 8am on a Saturday morning. Wouldn’t stay again.

The Brassey is often my choice for a warm stay in Canberra. It's location is quite central even if it isn't in the city, and it provides excellent value and a high quality of service. I also enjoy the tidbits of history displayed in the rooms too. A very appropriate hotel for the Canberran style.

Toilet cistern stopped working middle of the night. Shower seemed to run out of hot water in morning, very low temperature for hot water. Some overhead Lights in the room are not working. Aircon is not good enough. Not all all worth the money.
