We are so grateful to Patrick Atkins and the entire team at Brassica – Shaker Heights for their incredible kindness and generosity in sponsoring the food for free for our daughter Maya’s Celebration of Life. Maya loved Brassica and was so excited to work there — she would come home talking endlessly about how she had learned to make falafel or pickled cauliflower, and she always appreciated the free meals and deep staff discounts. It was more than a job to her; it was a place she truly enjoyed. When Patrick heard of her passing, he immediately and without hesitation offered to cater Brassica for her Celebration of Life. He didn’t stop there — he attended the event with his wife and little one, bringing a giant card filled with heartfelt messages from Maya’s co-workers. That card is something we will cherish forever. Patrick, your love and generosity carried us through one of the hardest moments of our lives, and we will never forget it. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

It’s the best Mediterranean food around here for a quick grab bowl style, food is absolutely delicious and perfect, sauces and topping are full of flavor and very tasty. It’s little expensive but worth the over all experience and ambiance it has got to offer. Try something different today! This place was pretty good though! I got a pita sandwich with a bunch of stuff on it, brisket was the main attraction! Place was totally Boomin! Nowhere to sit inside the establishment, had to sit inside the food hall. Which was not a problem. Overall, I’ll give my sandwich a 8.5 out of 10, picture does it no justice Hate I forgot the fries, though they looked good!

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE food! It's easily in my top 5 favorite places to eat. Had the brisket pita sandwich, and it's honestly perfect. Their hummus is Devine, pita is fresh out of the oven. Staff is really kind. Always my request when in Shaker Hts.

Brassica is amazing fresh made everything, its a Chipotle style place, but with falafel, pickled cucumbers, beets, cabbage ganooush, cabbage, crispy onions and all kinds of heavenly spiced toppings! Strawberry mint tea, and fresh falafel. I was set!!!

Might be the best bowl-concept restaurant in Cleveland! Everything here is simple and inexpensive, ranging from the salad bowl to the pita sandwich. The variety of toppings is truly amazing. I highly recommend trying the pickled cabbage and the dzhug hot sauce. Both were spicy and tangy! Great service and ambiance as well. I will definitely be coming back!

One of the BEST fast-casual, bowl concept restaurants I've been to! You can't either get a salad bowl or pita sandwich and choose from a variety of toppings/ add-ons. No matter what you get, the food is all organic, the pita is made fresh in front of you, and the quality is fantastic! Not to mention the staff was great and layout of the restaurant created a relaxing, yet casual vibe. If I ever come back to visit the area, I'll definitely be back! First and foremost..I’m vegan ! I’m a huge brassica fan and I have never been to this location before ! I loved the greeting the moment you turn the corner ! It was VERY inviting ! Every person had a smile , and a personal compliment about the food choices ! I will definitely be coming back !!

This is an honest 5 star review for me. The food wasn't "I dream of it all day" fantastic but it was solid and they had things just right where you can pick toppings to your liking. I know I could go back and have a good experience. Unfortunately it was so good that I forgot to take a picture. I know lots of people love this place, but it truly is a solid meal. There are different options for how to have your meal. I went with the salad bowl (which comes with some rice and lentils so it is more filling) and falafel. I would also recommend getting hummus on your bowl, it is a great addition! There are great options for anyone with different dietary needs. Even at a busy lunchtime, the service was pretty fast. If you've never been to that location, there is an indoor seating area and outdoor seating area, in the Van Aken district. So after you eat, you can check out some different shops and other food places too!

Completely fell in love with this place. I always passed it while driving but today I decided to go in. I had the pita sandwich and I was in awe. Fresh ingredients, and plenty of food choices. It doesn't seem as if they give you a lot,but once they finish putting all your ingredients together you may have left overs. I highly recommend this place and I'll be back

Excellent service! Staff is friendly and kind. They give extra toppings and even gave us fresh pita and falafel when we didn't want the older ones. They explained the menu so well! Plentiful seating in a great shopping mall area. The food was fantastic. No complaints at all. Definitely a hidden gem in Cleveland and wish it were a chain restaurant. You're missing out if you don't eat here!

Fast, fresh, filling, and delicious as always. The fries are some of the best I have ever had, due to the magical fry seasoning they are dusted with. The falafel, shawarma chicken and brisket are all incredible - you cannot go wrong. I also love all of the sauces they offer.

I really like this restaurant. It's like Chipotle as far as the ordering in line style goes, but the food/ingredients are far more superior than chipotle. I ordered the braised beef bowl and loaded it with rice, crispy onions, pita chips, sweet potatoes, pickled relish, beets, hummus and cabbage. It was delicious! I also had a side of falafel and fries. The falafel is packed with so much flavor and the fries were seasoned to perfection. I did sit inside to eat but the weather was nice enough to eat outside in which they have outdoor seating. They are a little pricey but the fresh ingredients are well worth the price.

On our way home through Cleveland we stopped by for a late lunch early dinner. We had tried the Westlake location a few months back and were pleasantly surprised and this stop was equally as sensational. Staff was eager to help and mega friendly. Not that typical "I hate my job snarky, how can I help you" 'tude. After hearing about their amazing fries we gave them a try this time - OOOOOOO POTATO GODS, you have served deliciousness my way. They were cooked to perfection and seasoned just right! Such a simple menu with popping flavors in a comfortable setting. Definitely a fav for us!

After experiencing the terrific Westlake Brassica months ago, we found ourselves in Shaker Heights and decided to give this location a try. I'm pleased to report it is every bit as good! Think of a more upscale Panera with a Middle Eastern flare. A warm pita piled high with brisket or chicken, baba sauce, greens, marinated eggplant or pickled cabbage, with plenty of sauces to choose from. French fries piping hot and seasoned perfectly. The service is outstanding, with employees who smile, engage with you and move at the speed of lightning. It isn't exactly cheap, but nothing this good ever is.

This place is delicious! Their ambiance is great, so beautiful to dine in while you see the beautiful outside from their huge windows. Their food is delicious! I love building my own bowl with all the different veggies and dips that they have available, a great healthy option to enjoy any time! Can't wait to go back

My aunt knows I love Cava, so she suggested I try this spot while in town. I like the setup of their food line, it makes you feel like you're in someone's home kitchen vs. a cafeteria. I got the bowl - half rice/greens, brisket, sauces, roasted eggplant & cauliflower. The meat was seasoned nicely, the fresh pita was soft. Honestly, I really wasn't a fan of their veggie options (roasted eggplant, cauliflower, carrots) as these are veggies I normally wouldn't eat. The veggies weren't bad, but it didn't add anything significant taste wise. Overall, I thought it was good, and I would go back. I also got the chocolate chip cookie which was hugeee and that was ok too.

Yummy, yummy, yummy! I love this place! The food has so much delicious flavors. The food is so fresh. The service is fantastic, very kind and helpful. The way they have the buffet set up displays the food selections perfectly. The lighting above the tables makes the atmosphere feel romantic. The prices are reasonable for the portions. I do like how they are environmentally friendly with the composable dishes .

I am so excited this place exists! When we used to live in California we ate at Cava all the time and Brassica is (dare I say it) even better! The food is fresh, the pitas are out of this world, and they even have wine and beer! I got the salad bowl. The highlights were the jalepeño cauliflower and the pickled cabbage. The falafel was fluffy and good but maybe a little too crispy on the outside for my liking. The fries were delicious and I highly recommend d the tahini sauce.

Let me start with it's a must go! My family and I come to Brassica every time we visit no matter what :) their chicken and falafel are so delicious, in a bowl or pita (you can't go wrong here) the fries are also just the right amount of crunchy! The people there are so nice and is normally very fast even if there is a long line, which is to be expected on a weekend. This location is attached to the Market Hall so you can explore more if you stop by, but Brassica is a must try if you're debating. The place itself is very cute and there is a lot of seating options inside, as well as outside when the weather is nice! There is a parking area across the street, as well as a parking garage right near by - so that's always a plus!

Brassica is a great spot for a quick, filling, and nutritious meal! Located in Van Aken Market Hall, you can easily grab a meal here and order a side of poutine from Banter, enjoy with some beers in Craft Collective, or top it off with some ice cream for dessert at Mitchell's! You order similarly to Chipotle style - where you tell them what you want and go down an assembly line adding toppings along the way. My go to here is the chicken sandwich (served in pita). You get to choose whether you want hummus or baba, followed by optional veggies and sauces. Service is quick, and the end result is a nice, hearty meal. As a bonus, Van Aken has a parking garage next to it, as well as a parking lot across, making parking fairly easy here. Will definitely plan to be back in the near future!

I'm shocked , None of the employees wore gloves, they provided service with their hands without gloves, which is really a bad surprise. The food is good , but the experience is less pleasant.

Brassica is like a Mediterranean Chipotle in that you stand in line to order and your food is created in front of you. I had a chicken bowl with tahini sauce and it was excellent!

Very yummy & fresh. You never feel gross after finishing your meal. Their pitas are sublime when fresh & the chocolate tahini cookies aren't consistently exquisite but every once in a while...my word...it's a treat...

Great food with good vibes. The restaurant is full of beautiful plants and has plenty seating. The line was pretty long but moved fast. The staff was very helpful. They gave me great recommendations for a good bowl which tasted very good. I enjoyed the chicken sharmwa with all the toppings and the pita bread was so soft and warm. Definitely will be back soon.

This was so excellent! So many choices of delicious combinations; I can't list! Omnivore or vegan; I had felafel. Pita bread made on site that is....outta sight! Nice outside sitting area. A little loud inside.

I'm always a sucker for "chipotle style" places that allow you to really personalize your meals. Brassica does not disappoint when it comes to flavor, it is absolutely delicious. The chicken and the brisket is just the best. I also tried their soup once which was pretty great as well. The only thing is that it's a little bit overpriced :( I usually end up dropping $18 for what I feel like should be more in the $10-15 range. But regardless, a good place to go when I feel like treating myself.

When I was still catering events in north east ohio 2018, I had the pleasure of serving and later eating some of the BEST turkey and roast beef mini sandwiches. Fresh meat excellent crisp produce and delicious. The service for getting the order right for my client/hostess then, it was satisfactory. No mistakes, quick, plentiful and with all the necessary condiments and utensils. I did not stay long because it was pick up service but the inside was clean, set up easily for dine in comfort.

There is no place like brassica. Fast casual healthy food with so much flavor and amazing to the eyes. Always have a bowl with both baba and hummus ambience is always friendly and cozy. Love going there for weekend lunch with my family. Service is fast and cordial. Don't leave Ohio without trying this incredible food

Brassica is a staple in our household. Thankfully, I work around the corner from this location and they're always there when I need a quick dinner to go! We love the brisket and falafel bowls with hummus! .. and the puffy pita bread is amazing! Staff is friendly and prompt.

5 star place. Clean, welcoming, healthy, amazing food and customer service. I wish they had this in Florida!! I definitely recommend to anyone in the area

This is probably my favorite restaurant in Cleveland. I moved away for a year and this is the first restaurant. I wanted to come to when I moved back. The brisket is a little more expensive than the rest of their options but it can't be beat. I usually get a sandwich to save a few dollars but I could probably spread the bowl over a couple days so either way you can't go wrong. The carrot topping is amazing and I highly recommend it Everyone is usually very nice and service is much like a Chipotle set up. You just go down the line picking what you want and you can add fries or a drink at the end. I highly recommend the fries.

The most delicious fast food ever ! I tend to not eat fast food per quality of food and locations tend to these days not be on top of cleanness. This place is the cleanest ever food place ! The food was so fresh and delicious and may I add the workers cared and kindness went above and beyond!! 10/10 rating

Oh my goodness, if you've been sleeping on Brassica - wake up!!! Upon walking in, you get a contemporary Mediterranean fast casual vibe with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. So many great vegan and vegetarian options to choose from and they're all fresh! We had the best falafel pita sandwiches ever...I mean look at those pictures! Everything packed with flavor and a story of seasoning. Wow. So good! Can't wait until next time Brassica, thank you so much!

The Brassica we know and love- only in the Cleveland area this time. I'm just over here waiting for them to expand westward to Indianapolis. This particular Brassica is located in a stunning new food hall and features our favorite offerings like the salad bowl topped with *all the veggies*, zhoug, garlic sauce and baba ganoush. When I say all the veggies, I mean, don't skip any of them- from the eggplant to the carrots and cauliflower, they're all packed with flavor and fabulous. It's hard to beat the flavor, healthfulness and price of Brassica. Even better when neighboring a dozen+ fun local businesses.

By far my favorite place to eat in Van Aken, and one of my favorite places to eat in Cleveland. Brassica is kind of like a higher end, Mediterranean Chipotle. You can either make your own "sandwich" or salad bowl. They make their pita fresh and have a variety of vegetables. I highly recommend getting all of the veggies! Everything is packed with flavor and healthy.

I love Brassica. I used to love Brassica a teensy bit more, when they had their thick cut bacon. When I lived in Columbus, Brassica was a staple. Now that they've opened up a location in Shaker Heights, I find myself frequenting here for their brisket pitas and fries. Their fries with special sauce and drinks are also great! Their Tahini Chocolate Chip cookies are AMAZING.

I struggle to think I could love a restaurant's food more! I am obsessed with their brisket! Get all the sauces and all the toppings. You can't go wrong and it just adds to the flavor! I get a salad with lentils base and 1/2 hummus 1/2 baba and literally have them throw everything else on. AMAZING- never had anything so flavorful and delicious. Service can be slow. But the food is worth it! The fact it's "fast food" and you can serve yourself I like. Makes it a quicker option, when the line keeps moving :)

Tried Brassica for the first time for a lunch meeting. It was not at all what I was expecting. The inside is very warm and inviting. You order at the counter and it is fast casual. I ordered a salad that was very filling and flavorful. It is like a Mediterranean Chipotle. I got chicken, vegetables, hummus and a delicious dressing.

Ordered the chicken rice bowl at brassica. It was so good and delicious. I love their baba ganoush and toppings. I got extra eggplant and fries with their special sauce. Their fries are delicious!!! Love this place. Their seasonings are so on point!

I've got to be honest, I've never even been inside, but I know the curbside pickup very well. Brassica is one of my faves to frequent when I want to eat hearty and healthy! I get the salads with grains, hummus, baba, all the veggies, I add falafel and the crispy onions are the finishing touch (it taste, rather). My bowl was almost gone, but the colors match the flavors, you get a variety to enjoy!

Service workers were very pleasant however, the food and drink choices were disappointingly limited, weird, not tasty and items that should be hot were cold. They were super skimpy on their portions ! The bowl rice base has cinnamon in it, the salad mix was bitter, sweet beets taste gross and sweet like candy, carrots mushy, chicken was cols and given a microscopic amount and both the sauces were meh. No thanks - never again - I thought chipotle was bad - this is worse

Great Food, Quick Service and Great Ambiance. One of my favorite restaurants to dine at in the Van Aken Market Hall. My go to meal is a bowl with brisket, falafel an order of fries and their delicious Watermelon Lemonade!!

Oh. My. God. I would eat this every single day if I could. I got the salad with every addition (except the beets) plus falafel. It was perfect. Such a delicious variety of veggies, and the falafel was flavorful and crunchy. And great prices! I was amazed to get such high quality, well prepared food for such a reasonable price. I considered moving to Cleveland just to eat here... LOVE.

Excellent hot grub for people With different types of diets, vegan, vegetarian, etc. they line moves quickly you have a great selections of protons, veggies and other choices to pick from. They service is fast and it's all for a reasonable price. The food come in a take home container as the Proportions are pretty large and the leftovers are fantastic!

Brassica is hands down the BEST restaurant within the Van Aken district and is a star among the restaurants around Cleveland! The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful - it is clear their ingredients are top notch! Their pita is made fresh constantly, you can see them making it right in front of you and it is so delicious! The servers are always incredibly friendly and attentive, I have nothing but kind words to say about their team. The ambiance is modern yet cozy, it's lovely to eat inside but also there's plenty of space throughout the Van Aken hall if you can't find a spot. In addition to their delightful meals I always recommend a tahini chocolate chip cookie and their in house pink lemonade (the color comes from beets!). My family eats here at least once a month if not more and I recommend it to anyone new to the area or looking to try somewhere new!

I don't know what half of this food is, but it tastes absolutely incredible! Bravo to Brassica.

I loved this restaurant for a quick, filling and healthy meal! I'm visiting from out of town and came here per suggestion of my in laws and I wish we had one of these where I'm from! The service was super friendly and helpful answering questions for new people! I highly recommend here!

One of my go to spots when I'm in Columbus. Their bowls are terrific and I love the topping selection

This was my favorite fast casual place when I lived basically across the street for two years. The extras do add up, however, and making it a salad costs a few bucks extra! Basically, it costs me 17 bucks to try to eat healthy (although if you overdo it on their delicious sauces, there goes any chance of your salad being healthy.)

As a Brassica aficionado, I was so happy when they put one in at Van Aken! Finally went to this location on Saturday for dinner, and it was delicious as usual. I had the salad with all of the veggies (extra beets - yum), the brassica fries, and the minty pink lemonade and everything was flavorful and fresh. My only small concern is that the service was very slow. With the business model being more of a Chipotle style, the assembly line process needs some work to speed things through a bit. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day or they're still working out some kinks though. Either way I'll be back!

Been to Brassica a number of times, both by myself and with friends and it has always been really good. Located on the Warrensville side of the Van Aken District next to the Food Gallery Brassica is a well executed upscale Mediterranean "Chipoltle style" set up.   You enter the restaurant and decide on a pita sandwich or salad and your choice of protein.  You then go through the line adding on the items that you want. What really makes a difference is that all items are produced in house and cooked fresh so that no item sits very long.  I usually go with the falafel either salad or pita and loaded it up with almost every item.  The falafel is good, crunchy on the outside, green and with enough spice to make it interesting.  The best of the side items included the nicely smokey baba ganouch, the grilled eggplant, all of the pickled items and the sauces.   The portion size is generous so the value for your money is good.  In addition the fries were excellent, crispy and tasty with Middle Eastern spices.   Drink choices include draft and canned beer, wine,craft sodas, and fresh pressed juices.  I tried the blond lager draft and it was great, smooth and light.   Brassica also has paid attention to presentation, with metal rings used to present pita sandwiches standing up and wooden boards instead of trays adding to the feeling that this is more upscale then most similar places.  The room itself is light and clean, with a nice patio set up out front. Brassica is a great place that adds to the Van Aken District, which is quickly becoming one of the more exciting culinary destinations in the city.  If you want high quality, tasty and healthy food at a reasonable price give Brassica a try.

I was told about Brassica from a colleague as they knew my spouse is vegan and that this would a fantastic place to dine.... Now we have a favorite place to eat. The atmosphere is very elegant, vibrant and friendly. The staff was above and beyond nice. The ordering process was very efficient. The food - definitely is a highlight. If you're familiar with chipotle, bibibop or subway - this has a similar type of ordering process as they make your dish. We tried the brisket, chicken as well as the falafel in the salad and sandwich (in a pita) style. Every one of those proteins were phenomenal. The toppers - I would say are not just fillers but highlights as well as they elevated the plate with a diverse range of flavors, textures and depth. Before leaving - some of the cookies came out fresh and I decided to get it on the way out. These were also amazing. It had the perfect crisp to the edges while being gooey on the inner part with a balance of savory and sweet that leaves you questioning why didn't you get a dozen. I would highly recommend this place for any carnivore, vegetarian or vegan as we'll definitely be back.

Obsessed with this place. I don't usually crave food like this but this may be one of the few exceptions. The quality of the toppings are magnificent and I love having toppings that aren't just cheap easy things to add, brassica offers a wide variety of nutritious toppings. Fries were meh but bowls were amazing.
