On the Grid : Brassneck Brewery

"These guys are serious! Serious about beer, much to the benefit of you, the beer drinker. This isn't just some pub with a long beer list though, you'll be drinking the stuff they make on site. If you just want to grab and go, get familiar with their refillable growler system. If you want to hang out, you'll be in the tasting room. Need a snack? Bring something in from the nearby food trucks!" - Wendy Wan & Drew Ng

10 Best Craft Beer Spots in Vancouver | Condé Nast Traveler

"Brassneck is quite possibly the cutest craft brewery in the city. Enter a long, narrow room trimmed by rough-hewn millwork and concrete floors, and sit yourself down—or not, we’ll get to that later—at one of the knotty softwood tables. The flights here are great, and you can mix and match pours as you please. We recommend starting with the No Brainer (a “pre-Prohibition style corn lager” with an ABV of 4.5%) and getting progressively heartier from there until you hit the Inertia III. Aged in bourbon barrels, this stout registers a whopping 10% ABV. Unlike most of the city's “food primary” establishments, Brassneck has a special brewery license, meaning you can walk around with your drink." - Guy Saddy

Google
A dozen or so craft brews, but they're damn right awesome. The Blacklight dark is incredibly smooth, not heavy on coffee and cocoa like most darks. The service is great, always with a warm smile. If you're on Main St, haul your a*s to this beer beauty.

Google
This is a great brewery taproom. Rustic vibe with wide paneling and bar, welcoming helpful staff, great beers and other drinks. You can choose your own beers for a tasting flight, which isn't possible at other taprooms in the neighbourhood. And the food is excellent! The pies are amazingly tasty and very well worth the wait...I had one and had to order another!! And enjoyed another beer in the meantime. Worth a visit and a revisit!

Google
Went there one weekday evening and I loved how cozy it felt. It wasn’t loud nor was the music. We were served water right away and service was great. I asked for a taster and the size was very generous. The decor is nice as well and the place very clean. Server was very friendly as well. Will definitely go back again.

Google
Solid brewery spot. Lager is must (as say that as a humble yet choosy beer nerdy perspective). Sour was solid as it hit a Goldilocks Zone of approachability being tart, sour, a little sweet, with some body vs vinegar sour or candy sweet. Imperial Stout was also solid. Medium motor oil, noticeable banana, sweet chocolate (not cloying in my opinion) that is complimented by the body (I dislike thin sweet bombs). Hummus was really tasty, home made crackers, the bread was homemade (or tasted like it), and the kids loved the local root beer, it’s rather fantastic. Their Scarlitos Way cookies were just wow. I was hoping a dope name would lead to a delicious cookie. Miso chocolate? Shut up and take my money. Their peanut butter cup one is waiting to be devoured. Most of the servers were kind and attentive. Definitely worth a visit. And 20 secs away in the corner is a vegan donut shop with really good espresso pours.

Wonderful staff, Wonderful beer, tontop it off the atmosphere is so comphy and cool. Had a flight of 4 5oz beers

Google
Great staff in a very low-key environment. I opted for the four-beer flight that was worth every penny! I don't think any beer enthusiast would be disappointed with Brassneck Brewery. I did not try the food, but everyone around me seemed to enjoy what they were eating!

Google
Great beer, fun venue. Great snacks. Felt little out the way for us tourist, but glad we found it. Enjoyed the flights. Strong selection for most tastes. Merch. Win.

Yelp
When you ask a Vancouverite what their favourite brewery or favourite Olympic Village brewery is, you'll often hear "Brassneck Brewery." It has definitely been one of the breweries to reach out to many palletes without getting too quirky. Their tap list is always changing but they bring back their staple beers on rotation. You can check out some of them on the wall in the back plastered with black and white posters. The space is rustic and prior to Covid if the wait was long, you could buy some tasters in the tasting room. They have a decent size "appy" menu - think breads, spreads, meats and sweets to pair perfectly with the beers. If you're visiting Vancouver and love craft beer, Brassneck is definitely a must.

Yelp
The beer sounded so good but we had to get seated. We were seated quickly and given water but never were asked for our order within 10 minutes after we sat down so we left. We couldn't order at the bar only if you wanted beer to go. Disappointed for sure

Yelp
Stopped in during a gap in our day and got a 5 and 12 oz Raspberry Changeling, 5 oz Ambiguation, two of their hot hand pies, and a chocolate chip cookie. All this and we were in and out in an hour, so although they only had one server, he was quick. Neat place to have a drink.

Yelp
Got a flight to do some casual photography work before heading to dinner with friends. Got all the IPA and hoppy beers. Generally, fantastic balance. Also really enjoyed the lagger. Definitely a place to try if you are in Vancouver and beer. Excellent recommendations by staff and friendly service!

Yelp
Check out the beer list online before stopping by to make sure there's a few beer you'll like before stopping by. I only saw one beer I might enjoy and unfortunately, my gamble did not pay off. I ordered the Killjoy, the only stout on the menu, and it wasn't a very enjoyable beer to drink. Flavors were definitely on the muted-side. In hindsight, Killjoy is the perfect name for this beer. Don't be like me and commit to a large 16oz pour until you try a taster size of it first. On the food side, I ordered some focaccia to snack on. As a bread fanatic, if there's bread on a menu, I will 100% order it. While the serving of focaccia was quite generous, it was not the fluffiest focaccia I've ever had. The focaccia also would've benefited greatly from some flaky sea salt sprinkled on top. At the end of the day, I fault myself for not enjoying Brassneck. I should've done my due diligence on checking out the beer menu prior to stopping by.

Yelp
Price/quality (4/4): The beer here is some of the best in Vancouver. I came here one afternoon and I sampled a number of their beers. All of them were great, and some of them (e.g. the raspberry sour) were particularly impressive. Service (1/1): Service was friendly and efficient. They also answered my questions very well. Would I come here again: Yes

Yelp
ordered 2 flights to share between 4 people. it took a while to get seated because there were several groups working on their laptops at the bigger tables unfortunately, but once we were seated the service was fine. flight #1 xenomorph - very interesting, taster is enough just to try passive - really good solid choice, well balanced biere de quaff - like it a lot more than expected, reminded of the breadiness of beer small wonder - very sweet and light, doesn't overpower anything flight #2 peel sessions - depending on who you are it could really nice or disappointing LOL a typical hazy die frische w sterling - a regular pilsner die frische w saaz - a better version of the sterling with more hops brassneck x luppolo - really enjoyed all the cocoa and nutty notes in this one but it was very heavy

Yelp
Really great beers - had fun with a flight, and nice generous pours. The chips and ranch dressing were awesome! Would love to come back for more food next time.

Yelp
My husband and I were looking to restock our beer supply, so we thought we'd check it out on a mid-February afternoon. The staff are very cheerful and super friendly, and while there are a lot of partitions up, it was surprisingly busy for a midweek afternoon, and you could tell it's a popular spot for young people to meet friends. While the beer selection available was great, we were both largely underwhelmed by the beer unfortunately, so after our taste test, we didn't feel compelled to buy any to take home. The snacks were decent, but I don't recommend making a meal of it. Overall, it was a fun spot to check out, and I'm happy to see a place that is seemingly doing well during this difficult time. Oh, and it is largely full of millennials, so we we were definitely the "Mom & Dad" in the corner lol.

Yelp
Finally made it out to Brassneck Brewery after a quick pit stop at Cartems Donuterie next door. I've been to quite a few breweries; heard nothing but good things about BB. We dropped in on a Sunday afternoon (around 1:30pm) and the place was bumping. We had to stand for a bit before some seats opened up. The seating is tight as only the back has seats. The front is standing room only. Know what's hilarious? First time I've been ID'ed entering a brewery. Oddly enough, only I was checked but not my friend. The decor in the back is cool as the wallpaper is a mix of their old flavours (Tizz wozz experimental sour sounds intriguing). The front has cans for sale along with growler refills and some merchandise (spotted t-shirts, hats and toques). There were 9 flavours on tap. We took our time deciding; they also have some snacks available (taro chips & dip, sausages from Oyama Sausage Co., pretzels, baguette and loaves from Beyond Bread). There was also "fancy" fizzy pops for the non-drinkers from Phillips Soda Works. - Brassbat ($8.00) - we tried once-ler (farmhouse S.M.A.S.H.), sticks n stones (rye saison), bjorn again (farmhouse ale) and magic beans (coffee beer). Interesting that they write the labels in pencil; we guessed they must re-use them again. Our favourite was the once-ler; easy, tasty drinking. The coffee beer was interesting but a sampler was enough. Another solid brewery in town. Even though they didn't have any beers that we took a particular liking to, they still impressed us with their beers. I'll be back again for the chill vibes.

Yelp
Great little brewery...laidback environment, tasty beer. This was our first stop on a weekend trip to Vancouver and the perfect place to take a break and enjoy some good beer. Recommend to try the flight and experience a few different types of beer - the Main Squeeze was my personal favorite, the Passive Aggressive was a pretty standard IPA, while tasty, I'd suggest trying something new in its place. Would recommend not passing up if in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Brassneck is a western themed brewery. Super crowded on weekends. The wait for the main room was over 30 minutes. We ordered at the bar and drank there. Service was ok. Dilettante, 473 ml - 4.50 CAD - For a fruit beer, the fruitiness was lacking. Did get a little hint of sour.

Yelp
My wife and I were on an Alaska cruise and we met up with my sister in Vancouver. They were among about 5 new tap rooms that had opened up. Sweet. The beers were great and we had lots of fun conversation. Gotta love taprooms!

Yelp
What I would do for some good craft beers!! Dragging my luggage all the way uphill from Pacific Central Station was not easy. But for the beers at Brassneck Brewery, it is worth the hike! Flight of 4 x 6oz for $8 or $2.50 each with 11 beers on taps Ambiguation (Tart Belgian Wheat) Sticks & Stones (Rye Saison) The Geezer (Dry English Porter) Magic Beans (Coffee Beer) All the beers we sampled has great character and true to style. Some of the best ones I sampled during my Weekend in Vancouver. Since we were here during a weekday afternoon, the place were not too busy and the atmosphere really relaxing. After some drinking, I happily roll down the hill. Life is good!
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
I get why they call this the best brewery in Vancouver. We split two flights, so were able to try 8 of the 11 beers they had on draft. They were all really good; i recommend the Saison and the Hibiscus. The space was cozy and it was cool seeing the brewing in action.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere of this brewery! Growler fills in the front and beer consumption in the back. Very eclectic decor with exposed wood and metal working. The brewery itself was a bit hard to find while riding my bike down Main Street. I actually ended up passing it and turning back around, but then again I'm not a local. They offer a good variety of different types of beer so you're guaranteed to find something that will satisfy your taste buds! I personally choose a flight on my first new brewery visit so I can get a good feel of what they bring to the table. The passive aggressive was my fave on my flight! They also off snacks for purchase. I got the taro chips and dip, since it was a nostalgic item for my companion from Hawaii. As well as the honey garlic meat stick, which was probably one of the best meat sticks I've ever had(it's all about the flavor!) Check this brewery out if you're looking for better beer just outside of downtown!
google avatar

Leena S.

Yelp
I enjoyed this place very much. The vibe was great, everyone seemed to be in enjoying themselves. Staff were friendly, and the best part is they have beer to go! My favourite was the Klutz!
google avatar

Liam O.

Yelp
Rustic and strong aroma of barely and hops upon entering. A flight of pints and some vegan tofu dip chips mad for a very enjoyable experience. Pints were good but a traditional IPA needs to be added to the beer list... the white IPA just didn't quite cut it
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
Great blend of hoppy beers and fruity sours, not to mention some fun experiments with brettanomyces. They offer about 12 beers on tap and a variety of to-go selections ranging from a tall can to a growler. Their on-site snacks were also a hit. I recommend the taro chips + dip and the garlic/honey sausage.

Yelp
One of my favourite breweries to grab a beer and hang out with friends. I love coming here in the summer time while I'm brewery hopping around Mount Pleasant. I also love taking my out of town friends here because they have an awesome selection of different beers. A couple of my faves? Their Whirley Whirley (Hazy IPA) and Joe's Banjo (Saison). Their Whirley Whirley is actually one of my favourite beers in the city - which says a lot! Their tasting room is quite small. There are a few long communal tables, which sometimes makes it hard for larger groups. If you're lucky though the back table will be open and you can have a wee bit of privacy. The staff working the front are laid back and know their stuff! If I'm looking to switch things up, they always suggest awesome recommendations. They have snacks - pretzels and beef jerky, but honestly I've never gotten anything from here. They also have a food truck outside on busier days. Want good beer and good vibes? Check out Brassneck.

Yelp
Best brewery in Vancouver! Really unique decor as you enter, super friendly staff who create an awesome and welcoming vibe. We had a few beers, focaccia, sausages and a pretzel. Literally the best focaccia bread I've ever had. If I could give this review 8 stars, I'd do it for the bread alone. The beer was fantastic too! Come here, have a brew, have some focacc, and enjoy the day! Can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Shannon L.

Yelp
Lots of pale ales here. We originally came because we read they had sour beers but they said it wouldn't be available until the following week. Something unexpectedly delicious are the bread and sausages. We tried a little loaf with whipped butter and the Oyama sausage, and it was the perfect pair. It makes Slim Jims taste like trash. Friendly people here too! A flight of four was $8 CAD so it's very reasonably priced.
google avatar

Edward L.

Yelp
More and more of these brew pubs are popping up around town, and it's a beautiful thing. Parking isn't really available in front during rush hour, but there are the side streets. This place is not the biggest. If you are lucky you will get a table, but the ledges towards the back are so narrow that you're literally drinking in front of a wall. Paddles are $8.50 or so, which is a bit closer to what you'd find in a restaurant. You'd hope that the pricing would be a bit more competitive in light of the non-existent transportation costs. As with most other local places, they sell growlers here too, which are interchangeable with other breweries. Beers are a bit more on the bitter end overall. The Beans one (coffee beer) - wow, this one is bitter. If you like coffee, this one may be for you, but personally I found it quite overwhelming. The other 3 I had (Multigrain, Passive Aggressive, and Geezer) were decent. I found the Multigrain quite similar in taste to Delirium Tremens. Overall a decent experience, but pricing could be a bit more competitive.
google avatar

Raji K.

Yelp
Really good place with really really good selection of beers. They have beers from people drinking the lightest beers to IPAs. Customer service was amazing. I just wished they had foooood. They definitely have some snacks. I would definitely come back here. Their beers and customer service is amazing.
google avatar

Sam R.

Yelp
As a tourist, I had a great time at this little brewery. They have a wide selection of beers, and the interior is homey and inviting. The staff was incredibly friendly, and even gave us a list of recommendations for other good bars or clubs in the area. It was pretty packed, but they still managed to seat us in a way that was comfortable with a lot of space. It was fun getting to try local beers, and I'd recommend it to any other tourist staying nearby!
google avatar

Chief G.

Yelp
This place is one of my favorites - worth the drive from Bellingham. Great to come with someone or without. Happiness is a pint of hazy and a stick of smoked buffalo.
google avatar

Lauren D.

Yelp
Every beer I sampled here was tasty and left me wanting more. Sure the IPAs are flavourful and strong, and sure the raspberry sour was like a delightful melted popsicle, but I was most won over most by the beer-wine hybrid featuring a viognier. So crisp and full at the same time! So refreshing! Did I have three in row then go eat two slices of pizza up the street? Who could ever be sure? Final notes: sadly no patio which is a bummer in summer, but worth it nonetheless. It also gets real busy here so plan ahead if you've got a group.
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
Loved this brewery. I was curious about their name and ended up on their website reading the whole story. They constantly rotate their beers and only brew in small batches, so basically garuanteed to have a new beer when you go back. I like that they brew in small batches and don't distribute widely. Beer was pretty good as well! Mine and each of my friends were all good (I tried them all, ha!) They also offer a selection of jerkies - we tried 3 of them and each one unique and delicious. Also ordered some homemade focaccia on the side which was amazing and served with butter. The place is adorable and decorated well.
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
This is one of the main places that a lot of my friends want to meet at to start off an evening. They have a rotating menu, so if you come by from time to time (as opposed to every night) there are always new things to try. The ubiquitous "flights" or "tasters" or whatever are available here, too, so you can try out several kinds of beer without needing to be carried home. The staff are friendly and the prices are fine, and if you find something you really like, you can get a growler of it to go. All of those things are positive. That said, however, this place's popularity is a bit of an issue, because there is always a lack of seating, and sometimes you have to wait outside the service area before you can wait (with a drink) for somewhere to sit, or even just lean. They are cool about letting you bring outside food (because they only have snack items - which typically have meat in them), and there is often a food truck parked out front, but a lot of the times that I've been the truck is either closed, or has yet another sizable wait. There are a lot of good beer options of various types to be had here, but this isn't where I'd spend an evening. There are a lot of other bars within walking distance for that. Take the term "Tasting Room" to heart and this place is just fine, but if you were thinking you were going to an actual bar you'll be let down.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice and cozy little brewery along Main street. I love the use of wood and lighting decor there which allows for a relaxing chat over beer with friends. Staffs are friendly, beer selection are delightful and prices are reasonable. I had the magician assistant and i really liked the beer. One ask is if they can expand their food menu and i would glad raise this to a five star.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Good beer. Good space. Clean. Friendly. Some food available. The Bjorn Again was my favorite but every beer I had was solid.
google avatar

Sheila K.

Yelp
We had a bigger, established favourite brewery in mind for our Sunday outing, but at the last minute decided to try someplace new to us. Brassneck has a very impressive selection of beers on tap - we each had a flight, and I'd say I loved 7 out of 8 that we tried. The Concentration Face hazy IPA and the Bjorn Again farmhouse ale were particular standouts for me. We enjoyed a couple of pepperoni selections from local company Oyama Sausage, and a slab of excellent focaccia. The tasting room was cozy-hip and the staff were very friendly. A new favourite for sure!
google avatar

A H.

Yelp
Brassneck is on my top five for craft beer in Vancouver. Absolutely love the flavors they come up with. My favorites this past summer was the hibiscus and raspberry couldn't get enough. It was growler fill after growler fill. Great staff, decor and location.
google avatar

Temenah C.

Yelp
Leave it up to Canada to have a taproom where there's hosted seating. Normally you go to a brewery and hang out wherever you can. Not at Brassneck. There's an actual process and you have to put your name down and be called to find somewhere to sit. I kinda liked this but I can see how it would be annoying to someone that just came for a pint and has to wait for a while. Here, you literally have to get in where you fit in and that just might mean standing near the toilets. But enough of that because you probably want to know about the beer since it's a brewery and all. Well, it wasn't the best beer I've had but there were some notables. The Sticks & Stones was good. I've never had a Rye Saison before but I definitely liked this. The Changeling started off being really good but the overly sweet flavor started to wear on me. It was almost muscat sweet. I didn't eat anything there but we sat next to the cheese-bagel looking things and they smelled delicious. Yes, they had some vegetarian options as well. I think this is a cool place and you should add it to your list of local breweries to check out.
google avatar

Kate M.

Yelp
Brassneck is a great joint for a date and a cold one! No matter what night it is, this place is always buzzing. I also love the variety of pepperoni stick you can eat with your ice cold brewskies! Some evenings you'll even catch a food truck outside. My go to is always a flight because I like the variety! This time my fave of the four was Hibiscus Wit. Hot tip - head there early to snag a good corner seat!
google avatar

Melissa F.

Yelp
I don't like the seating or the room but I love the beer. These guy consistently have 1-2 dark beers on tap- very flavourful, full of depth. I would just go for the growler fills. The room is kind of awkward and not the nicest place to drink.
google avatar

Cindy D.

Yelp
What do you do after a long walk at Stanley Park? You enjoy a great beer! We found this place on Yelp and noticed the 4 stars. Yep we had to come here. We came here ago and I believe it was three days after they open. I had never been to one of the breweries. When we got there, you could see people waiting to get in! There were people waiting from outside as well. While we were in line, we could see people bringing in their bottles to refill their beer. There were people bringing in their kids. I thought it was cool to see that especially at a brewery. We finally made it inside and seated. We had to share a table with other people because it was just the two of us. I thought it was cool to drink with other people. Their drinks were great. They have beer flights with interesting names. One was Passive Aggressive and I thought that was pretty tasty. They do not serve food but there is a Filipino food truck outside. I didn't order any food although I tried their sausage links. It was ok but kind of expensive. Overall it was a great experience. It is small inside and worth the wait. Staff was very nice and friendly. Mostly guys working. Bathroom was clean. I don't think there's a parking lot so just look for meters. Btw, no coat check.
google avatar

Gabrielle N.

Yelp
Busy spot so we just filled a growler and had a small taster in the front room. Beer was tasty and a good variety for any pallet. Great service from the staff at the counter. As it was my first time trying Brassneck's beer, I didn't know what to fill my growler with so the cashier let me try a few in order to make up my mind. Looking forward to coming back another time and getting to sit in the lounge!

Yelp
Sorry, I just don't get this place. We came and had some flights but all I could think about how the nicely designed reclaimed wood interior vibe was a bigger focus than making high quality beer was. Apparently they've been brewing beer for just a few years now, and their own website does mention "We are ALWAYS experimenting with different beer styles. We are two & a half years old & we've already brewed about 75 different beers. " Let me be clear... I'm all for experimentation but you should also have a mainstay or two of drinkable options. Let's break it down based on my experience: They had 8 beers on tap when we came and tried 7 of them. Of the 11 tap rooms I visited, this was only 1 of 2 places that didn't list the IBUs on their ordering board, but simply had the ABV % listed. It's not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. Another flaw was that while I'm not even a huge pilsner or lager drinker, the smoothest thing on tap was a Brassneck Ale which is still just a straight up pale ale. I think this may have also been the only tap room to not offer something for the less adventures palates. I will admit that 2 of the beers we had were decent. The Ten Times Ten was the best of Brassneck's various pale ales, with a nice bitterness but lovingly balanced with the aromatic nature of Centennial hops. The Multiweiss was also one of the better wheat beers I'd had during my trip. On the other hand things like their Magic Beans coffee beer was undrinkable even by a coffee drinker, and the Pale Saint (Saison fermented with Brett pale ale) was simply trying to be too much and couldn't fall on any specific flavour. It's places like this that make me think that instead of getting crazy with new experiments, you should be doing smaller scale brews to make sure its actually worth kegging and serving to customers. As such, we came, we drank, and we disappointingly left to drink better beer elsewhere. 2 stars.

Yelp
A fine selection of different beers available along with some tasty beer snacks. Last time here I tried the sourish raspberry. Very refreshing but the finish a little short. Good for summer. Service has always been genuinely friendly and she actually said thank you after I gave a tip. (Still amazes me how few servers say ty). I like the setup inside. More communal than intimate. Bright but warm lighting. But can get noisy. On more than one occasion when I was planning for a couple of glasses after work, I've left after just one because of noise. But good for them....they're busy

Yelp
Loved everything about this brewery! The location is walking distance from other breweries so your able to check out a few. The staff was all super friendly, the beer was delicious. The tasting room was great size, with awesome atmosphere. They have a few long tables to sit out- towards 5 it did start to get busy, so if you can i would come a little early so you can get a place to sit. Great selection of beers, running from IPA's to Dark to Sour and everything in between. I really liked that they don't distribute their beer- the only way to have them is to get some in the tap room or a growler to go. Worth checking out if your in the neighborhood.

Yelp
I totally get ittt. Totally get the hype now. Brassneck knows their craft beer! Reasonably priced, insanely good beer. The ambiance is pretty bumpin' too. Good for day drinking. Wood panelling throughout and a cafe-esque vibe to it. Could easily chill here for a few hours! You really can't go wrong here, get a flight if you're feeling peckish and adventurous! For the best day ever: after you're done at Brassneck, head next door to Cartems for the best gourmet doughnut this town has to offer (or bring a doughnut over to pair with your beer lol.)

Yelp
Very busy and popular place feel The looks of it. Definitely cater to a particular "Hipster" crowd (sorry if that offends anyone). Pros - Decent selection of beer, nice decor, Good prices on Bats of beer, Clean. Cons - No fruit based beers (my favs), seating is very limited so be prepared to wait as long as 45 minutes on some evenings & they don't serve food. I would have rated this place a solid 4 stars, keep in mind, If I didn't have to wait so bloody long.

Yelp
Brassneck is great. There are very few negative things I have to say about this place. Yes, it is a small seating area, but this is all part of the charm and should come to be expected when visiting here on any day of the week. The beer I had last night was one I hadn't tried before: "Gooseberry Changeling" It had a wonderfully-crafted fruity-sour taste and a lovely light reddish hue. The others were repeats from my past experiences: People Person, Passive Aggressive and another corn-derived beer that was surprisingly delicious. Service is on point here. Another patron crashed from his stool (broken) and two staff were on him immediately to check that he was ok right before offering him a replacement stool. Everyone was greeted with a smile - in fact I had a laugh at how automatic the charming smiles had become for the bar staff. I purchased a couple of growlers on the way out and was chatted up by the two front-of-house staff in a comfortable way. Will definitely return, this place merits a stop on your brewery tour.

Yelp
The brunette behind the counter was very sweet and helpful in helping us determine the best beers to order for our taste buds. The beers we ordered were so delicious that we ended up buying more to bring home with us. Definitely be back

Yelp
Whether it's growler refills or a stop at the seated bar area, there are always 2 delicious beer I am guaranteed to find on the menu - Passive Aggressive and Brassneck Ale. Other than that, this place has rotating taps & you'll always find something that's new, unique & refreshing. It's probably my favorite brewery in Vancouver.

Yelp
We found this place last fall on a beer-tasting jaunt up to Vancouver. We shared a sampler and really liked their beers - they had some unique flavors to choose from. They also offer growler fills (cool brass-colored logo on the growlers, by the way) and beer by the glass. The place had just opened when we visited, but was very busy and the re-purposed wood decor was unique and interesting. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but when isn't it in Vancouver? Brassneck is a fine addition to the blossoming Vancouver microbrew scene and I'm sure we'll be hearing more about it!

Yelp
Loved this brewery. My husband and I were visiting Vancouver and this was one of our first stops. Lovely and friendly staff, delicious beer, and chill atmosphere. I will recommend to any of my friends visiting to check this place out.

Yelp
My personal favorite spot for beer in the city. While yes, it's loud, and yes, it's crowded, it's surprisingly less so than a lot of tasting rooms elsewhere, their prices and product are just too good to pass up. Excellent beer on rotating taps with a few mainstay brews (I like the Passive Aggressive) and some more experimental ones (One made with yeast harvested from wasps. It tasted awful but at least it was creative. I still got a buzz.). Prices are very, very low both in the tasting room and for growler takeouts. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, beer isn't the best in the city, but it's still reliably high quality.
