We had a fabulous stay at Brasss Hotel Suites and it exceeded expectations - we stayed in Suite Sardine. The room and bathroom are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The complimentary extras, like snacks and a replenished minibar, were a lovely surprise. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout.|It’s in a lovely part of Haarlem and felt like somewhere you actually want to head back to after a day out, not just a place to sleep. |The breakfast was great. We planned on only having it the first morning but ended up having it every day. It kept us going well past lunchtime. |We’re already planning a return visit.

My husband and I just spent four nights at the lovely Hotel Brasss, staying in the Savannah Suite. The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable, with a large shower, comfortable bed, and plenty of storage space.||Every day, we found a selection of complimentary snacks set out on the landing outside our room — including bags of popcorn and chips, various chocolate and granola bars, mini Stroopwafels, bottled water, and more. The in-room minibar was also complimentary. Both of these thoughtful extras were very much appreciated.||The staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to ensure every guest felt comfortable and well taken care of. In the lobby, there was an excellent coffee machine available, along with complimentary prosecco, charcuterie, pastries, and cookies — another really nice touch.||We also had two bags of laundry done during our stay, which came to €38. Since we’re traveling for two weeks, we felt it was well worth the cost.||The location was perfect. Only a fifteen minute - flat walk from the train station, and in close proximity to a multitude of shops, restaurants, and bars.

This was a charming hotel right in the middle of the most desirable area in Haarlem. It was right on the canal and strategically placed between the bus station and the train station, both of which were easy walking distance. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Check-in was a breeze. The building is old and the stairs are very steep. The elevator is quite small and at times seemed to be a bit unreliable. Our room, the Sardine room, was very large with an updated bath. The bed was comfortable. Mini bar was complementary. Breakfast, was served in the room every morning, Was absolutely amazing. Orange juice was to die for. We loved everything about our stay!!!!! Simple, quick train to Amsterdam and much more charming.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Quiet, large rooms, and well equipped. The only issue was a terrible odor in the room. When we mentioned it to the staff, we were told it was a known issue but they can’t figure out where the smell is coming from. Would have given top rating if they had been more honest in sharing this at check-in, or offering some remuneration for having to smell that our entire stay for full price.

Simply adorable. Don’t let the terrifying stairs or tiny elevator put you off, the room we had was amazing, totally unique and could not have been more welcoming. Sat in the beautiful little heart of Haarlem, which is gorgeous by the way, this was a hidden gem and worth every star. We had two nights but could have stayed more, especially given the ease to get to Amsterdam on the train only a short walk away. I wound 1000% recommend to anyone, unless you don’t like strep stairs or small lifts (which we didn’t). You will never regret booking this.

This well-located hotel, with a great staff, is probably not for everyone. We enjoyed our room and the food, and the location in Haarlem was great. The elevator is very limited, and it effectively was a walk-up multiple flights to the room, so probably not the best for elderly or handicapped. Be prepared that the shower is completely transparent near the center of the room. Please keep in mind that reception is closed early in the evening until the next morning.

Nice enough but definitely NOT a top notch hotel as was presented. Or as was priced. Location was good although our room faced a street and was noisy on Friday night from parties in restaurants and bars below. Week day nights were not a problem. The view from room was really nice. We were on the top floor. One slow, small elevator provided access if you didn’t want to climb the steep, narrow, winding staircase up three off four floors. The room was very, very dark. Extremely poor lighting . The room and the lobby needed sprucing up. Everything about the hotel seemed rather dated, tired and used. Snacks and drinks were provided with no extra cost and that was appreciated. No one at front desk overnight or until 9:30 in the morning. We could have used assistance during that time. Breakfast was delivered to the rooms and was nice quality but no common breakfast room or menu to choose from. Doubt we would stay there again.

This is a great base for exploring Haarlem with comfy rooms. What is unexpected is the incidentals provided. Snacks and drinks including both red and white wine. In a world where you often get charged for a cup of tea or even water it is a refreshing change to see such generosity.
