Brauhaus Zum Alten Dessauer

Beautiful old "Brauhaus" building and restaurant. They have one vegan main dish. It was quite delicious. You get an appetizer (bread with lard), which is not vegan. The waitress also said their beer is not vegan (?!) The atmosphere was nice.

Been here with friends and family, it’s a really nice place for gathering to have some beer and nice foods! My future in-laws were very satisfied with the place, the roast duck and famous Schweinshaxe were also amazing and super delicious. Service was very good, everybody was really sweet and very thoughtful. Super nice place in Dessau!

The food was excellent. The atmosphere with the huge copper kettles is warm and friendly as are the staff. An English menu is available and the people are friendly and helpful. A little more expensive than other spots but just their bread makes up for the slightly higher cost. The beer was simply delicious.

Always a nice option. pity that no venison on the menu. But quality of service and the quality of the other dishes make up for it. keep it up!

Waiters are extremely rude to us. The experience was uncomfortable so we just left. I would not recomend.

I've been here once a few years ago and loved it, so I went back with a small group a few days ago. We were told that the kitchen was closed at 9. Okay, I understand. We'll just try to get there earlier the next day. So we showed up around 7:30 and were told that there were no tables available. The patio off the side had a large group, but the inside was about 3/4 full. There were literally 4 tables near the door that were empty, and more scattered around the restaurant. We were told it would be an hour wait because "It's the season". Walked a few blocks away and found another place.

We had an enjoyable meal at the Brauhaus. The potato soup was excellent and the sausage plate was slightly above average. The beers were good as well and there was ample outside seating. I would eat there again.

We were referred To the Brauhaus by a business colleague. We were enjoyed everything. The bread had a very distinctive taste. There was some lard spread with pork bits in it, it was great. The pork knuckle as everything that I had hoped for and more. The apple streusel was fantastic very authentic. Eat well.
