Braunbär Hotel & Spa | Wengen

I wish I had copied and pasted the long review I just sent the hotel via their feedback email. So, I'm going to summarize. This is hands down one of the most lovely hotels I have ever stayed in. It fits perfects into the little Wengen town but feels elevated and chic (without being pretentious). Each and every single staff member was kind, helpful, and seemed to be happy to be there. After the first night we canceled our trip to Montreux and added those days onto our Wengen trip once we realized how much we loved the area and the hotel. We had a duplex room which was a upgrade from what I had initially booked. It felt very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was supportive but soft and I actually used the pillows which I never do because I'm super picky and usually hate hotel pillows. We added the breakfast option when we booked and were glad we did. It's a buffet with meat, eggs, mushrooms, beans, fruit, cheese, pancakes, chia pudding, yogurts, croissants/pastries, and 2 espresso machines which are self serve. We ate in the bar one late and rainy evening and it was exactly the vibe you want a mountain hotel bar to be if that makes sense? The pizza was great and the beer was cold! We did use the pool several days and I'm not sure if you can tell from the photos but it is big enough to swim laps and the view of the mountains from the water is STUNNING. It's close to the train stop and the COOP store where we bought a few things for lunches and kept in the fridge. If we ever go back to Wengen this is 100% where we will be staying.

This hotel was amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were cleaned daily. The views from the balcony were phenomenal, and the location can’t be beat - just a few short minutes from the train station by walking. The sauna, steam room, and pool were great additional amenities after hiking in the area. I would recommend this to anyone staying in the Jungfrau region.

We loved our stay. Super clean room! Everything is walkable and right near train station and the cable cars. Can visit surrounding towns. Loved to relax in the Spa in the evening after a long day. Overall amazing and would recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay! The rooms are small but cozy and beautifully designed. It’s a very family-friendly place with a warm, welcoming atmosphere — you immediately feel at home. I especially loved the big real book library that’s part of the hotel’s charm and the nice little spa area. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Highly recommend Braunbar Hotel for when staying in Wengen. The rooms are very clean and modern, though a bit small. You wake up every morning to a view of the mountains! The bar is warm and inviting, and they have live music on Sundays. The front desk has board games you can borrow. They have a tap in the lobby for refilling water. The staff were incredibly helpful on check-in and helping us navigate the cable car system and plan our itinerary. The hotel is a very central location: 3 minute walk from the train station and the cable car station to Mannlichen, at most a 5 minute walk from most restaurants.

We stayed two nights at the Braunbar Hotel and Spa in Wengen. Location was outstanding, so close to train station and center of town. Best for me was sipping coffee on my private balcony while admiring the mountain views. The spa/pool were great, as was the lively bar in the evening. Front desk staff were extremely helpful with directions and suggestions, stored our luggage as we arrived early and our room was not yet ready. Would love to stay there again!

What a wonderful stay we had back in July. This is the view from our balcony on 4th floor , room 409 I believe. Our daughters loved having the arcade game in the room. We surprised them with that. The breakfast buffet was great. The staff here were all super friendly and very helpful. I asked them lots of questions about hikes and the area in general. My wife and I liked to sit out side the bar in the evenings on the street and have a cocktail . You can order through the window . Would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Wengen

We enjoyed our stay in Wengen. The vibe and styling of our hotel was beautiful. We enjoyed our room, the only thing we missed was AC. While the temp outside was on the cooler side, the loft was warmer than expected. The staff at the front desk were fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed our daily breakfast-the assortment/taste was great. We enjoyed the complimentary water (sparkling/still) in the lobby (and the bucket of ice from the bar). We all enjoyed the sauna/steam room-overall a beautiful place in a quiet, quaint village.
