Google
Awesome place to go to. Came for steak night. Awesome and a great price.

David Minear

Google
Food us fresh. Creative. Very delicious.

Asli Danis

Google
Terrible bar, terrible service, menu doesn’t mean anything and they will trick you into paying $18-19 for a glass of wine. Also poor hygiene.

Sunil Jaini

Google
Massively overpriced wine, 19 dollars a glaas. Been around the world and never experienced someone selling me a 1.00 glass of wine for 19 dollars. Straight rip off, don't spend your hard earned money here, they will charm you into doing so.

Jessica Hickey

Google
The bartender was very nice and very knowledgeable about their wines. I was unfamiliar with their 'by the glass' selection, and she recommended one that was nice. I only wish they had more red blends on the 'by the glass' menu.

Christopher Riley

Google
An awesome wine bar at the center of the Bravery Food Hall. The wine selection is expertly curated, with some really interesting selections. Be sure to stop by no matter where you are eating to grab a glass of wine. The awesome bartenders will provide pairings for whatever you are eating. Can't wait to see what the future of Bravery has in store.

Here at Bravery wine Bar, this place is awesome !!this is my first time but the young lady behind the bar ( Ginger) is on point with her wines and drinks. I recommend this wine bar to everyone, come see Ginger , very cool people.

Google

Yelp
I finally got to try this bar! The scenery is cute and flowery. Yet, still needs some cleaning and decorating. But we stumbled in at happy hour and we drank our little hearts out before a flight back to Chicago. The Mexican candy shots were very tasty! The French 75 was apart of the happy our and tasty! WooHoo!! The bartender was cool. I'd go back.
google avatar

Yelp
The entrance is on the Main st. I repeat the entrance is on the Main st. Imagine this if you will, hot humid Houston weather. No air coolers or outdoor ac. And then Boom! Plants and ferns mosquitoes and all the bugs can hide!! Friendly staff, standard cocktails. Nice for a weekday after work social. Not nice you'd probably have to step over a few homeless dudes passed out right on the entrance.

Yelp
I have high expectation for this place, the hours of operation is incorrect either in Yelp or google. They open 5pm. The patio is very pretty, when they opened at 5pm, yes the service was good and my French garden was really yummy!

Shelby D.

Yelp
Love!! The Carajillo is very yum and cute oso shape ice cube. Fun vibes usually good music too.

Yelp
Great time visiting. Not from the area so it was a little tricky to find but once we found the fool hall it was easy to move around to this place in the back. We went at night and enjoyed the floral design and the hanging lights were beautiful and helped the vibe a lot. The bartenders were great and very professional. Both drinks we got, the Lycee Gin Tonic and the French Garden, were delicious and we lucked out that they do a deal for Gin Tuesdays where select gin drinks were $9, otherwise it would have been a bit on the pricey side. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
I had high expectations before coming because I see this bar on social media all the time, but service was awful and drinks were even worse. No one cleaned up tables, so my friend and I had to bus ourselves before sitting down with our drinks. The drinks itself were below average; there's no complexity to them. We watched the bartender messily make them, so our hands were sticky and covered in some type of syrup. It's pretty cute, but besides that, there's no appeal to this place.
google avatar

Mel N.

Yelp
This is the cutest little hangout place at Bravery Chef Hall. When it gets busy, good luck on finding tables to sit at because you're most likely going to have to stand. Depending on the time, there's a live DJ setup in front of the bar area. This place is filled with fake flowers and a flower wall so it's a nice photo op place, just make sure you bring a friend to help you take the pictures! Drinks are pretty good too!

Yelp
I've only been here twice and both during the day time more for chilling and hanging out. From the reviews there's a different vibe for daytime and night time, with the the evening crowd more clubish; I guess. What I like about this place during the daytime is as the bar's name it is a secret garden that's very cute with the trees, lighting and bar area. The drinks are solid and the seating allows for people watching. Definitely a great casual place to hang or date place. Need to come back more often.

Yelp
Absurd ripoff, even during happy hour. These pretentious dining halls need to get over themselves because this business model stinks. One pretentious, overpriced bar for the whole dining hall is a good way to ensure people don't have any options at all - because the bar has no competition, so they can charge outlandish prices.

Sami G.

Yelp
Disappointed that I paid $17+tax and tip for an Old Fashioned made with Jim Beam. It was good but... way overpriced. Either bring down your prices or bring up your quality of liquor.
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
Drove in from Galveston and I didn't know that on Friday's they don't open until 4...it's 2pm now, I'm crying! Ugh! Came to town from to go to Seismique museum but stopped by here first because it's too cute for me not to have checked it out, BUT...it's CLOSED! it's soo cute and garden like with flowers and plants every where. Foo foo drinks I didn't get to try...sniff sniff. There is no signage fir this place...you just gotta know that the bar can be entered from the outside on Main Street (main and Travis intersect) just look for the Aris Market Street entrance because it's one in the same. You'll be directly in the garden going in this way otherwise, you enter through Bravery Chef Hall which is connected to Aris apartments on Travis. Public parking lot across the street (on Travis) $10 for 2 hours. Otherwise it's metered street parking...which is free after 6p. Y'all have all the fun...without me!

Yelp
Met a friend here for a nice outdoor and socially distant outing for us catch up! It's a cute bar located inside (well outside) Bravery Chef Hall located in Downtown Houston. They make craft cocktails to order and you have to go to the bar to order and retrieve. If there are a lot of people in line, it can take a while to get a drink. I ordered the French Garden and Rose Felici--both gin based cocktails. I preferred the French Garden a little more. Definitely will come back especially on a nice weather day!

Yelp
Such a fun spot! This reminds me of Wynwood in Miami, Fl. The space itself was so cute, with lots of greenery and neon lights. The bar is inside a greenhouse style building with hanging eucalyptus that adds to the ambiance. It's a shame we went after it rained because most of the outdoor cushioned areas were wet/dirty. We found cover at one of the metal tables and enjoyed the drinks from there. My favorite, as always, was the spicy margarita which the bartender made with extra tajin! Can't wait to visit this place again.

Yelp
Great place with cute ambience plus awesome cocktails with relaxed atmosphere. Definitely must visit place

Yelp
Others have said it, but it's pretty easy to miss this place. It's kind of in the entryway of what I think is an apartment building high rise. Pros: Aesthetically, it's beautiful. I love the garden and greenhouse look, the low lights, and the serene feel. The drinks are also beautiful, you can tell the bartenders here are well trained because they take pride in making each drink look great (and taste great too). They had a dj Saturday night. Cons: The pictures are a little deceiving, this place is pretty small. The greenhouse itself is very small. There are maybe 6 tables and 2 sofa areas. My friends and I had to stand and we kept having to move out of the way for people walking by.

Yelp
I first met Jonathan Gallardo, proprietor of Secret Garden, at the culinary event COCHON555 hosted in 2019 at the Four Seasons. He was representing Prohibition that day, and he was serving up *the best* cocktails out of everyone there. They ended up winning an award that evening (well deserved!) So when I first checked out Secret Garden during their opening and loved my drinks - and then later learned about Jonathan's affiliation with the garden bar, it all made sense. Secret Garden is a greenhouse bar located on the back patio of Downtown's Bravery Chef Hall. Coffee, cocktails, coffee-cocktails, and staged drink photos are a must. ¡Salud!

Yelp
Such a cute place with awesome drinks. Located in the same area as a food hall. You're able to order drinks along with food in the hall. The only downfall is this place is tucked in and hard to find. But that's why they call it a secret garden I guess.
google avatar

Eddie W.

Yelp
Descent little spot right outside of the food hall. Cool to take pictures and post on your social media feed if you're into all of that but over all it's alright. The crowd is kind of pretentious and the drinks aren't the best considering the price but it's an alright spot to grab a drink (just one) cause there's better spots off main if you're asking me.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place! A friend and I, decided to check this place out on a random Wednesday. I liked that it was a hidden bar! Love a good adventure. This place inside of Bravery Hall. There are multiplayer restaurants inside the hall but this was what we were looking for. Immediately, the vibe over took us. I mean it was just beautiful. It didn't even feel like we were in Houston anymore. I ordered the spicy margarita with a Smokey mezcal. I thought it was really good. I liked that the bartender asked me if I wanted a Tajin rim or salt rim. Of course I chose Tajin because how could you have a spicy margarita without? Service was fantastic! Loved the grass wall as well. Very Instagram able place.

Yelp
Review #15 There are two entrances to the Secret Garden. One is through bravery chef hall and the other is off of Main Street. I get the special entrance because my friend lives at Aris (the high rise that is connected). VERY limited seats inside the greenhouse bar area. Tables and couches outside. Gorgeous assortments of plants and flowers fill the space. Beautiful hand crafted cocktail and let's not forget the photo opts! Each cocktails has its own beauty. You'll understand when you get there ;) Or check out my photos. Speciality drinks along with the classics. They have everything. Not only are they serving up cocktails but they have coffee as well. So definitely stop by in the am for a coffee. When you're finished don't forget to stroll through Bravery Chef all and take in all the aromas and cuisines! A definite highlight of downtown Houston!

Yelp
Behold the Secret Garden.... A super cute open patio bar with cute "looking" drinks. This place holds up to its name because it's truly a secret as my friends and I struggled to find this spot. We arrived and noticed it actually in the back of what appears to be a pizzeria/Italian restaurant. (This info is for your own reference). Anyway the decor was super cute, the drink menu was small... they offered all of 6 drinks I believe. I wish I took a picture of the menu. So this bar is a walk up, self order and self seat bar. I ordered the Violeta, my friend ordered another drink, and then my other friend ordered a straight up Paloma. They added the same garnishes on nearly every drink. Normally with my experience in "specialty bars" each drink is spruced up differently. But here, It wasn't anything special and the drinks were just OK ... nothing to rave about. Also the music (techno/electro/electronic dance) whatever it was by the DJ was obnoxiously loud for such a little space.... We all had headaches. The decor and the concept was super cute (they had a floral wall) but the drinks could be executed much better. We drank one drink each and although we paid 12$ to park we scurried out of there, not our scene at all.

Yelp
Part of the Bravery Chef Hall, Secret Garden is a beautiful, vibrant cocktail bar. It's a lovely hideaway right off of Main street in downtown Houston. On a hot summer day, it was such a great find, the tree canopy above does great at sheltering you from the Texas heat. The bar itself is fashioned out of a glass greenhouse, decorated with artsy liquor bottles, ceramics, and flowers. Orders are taken by walking up to the bar -- no table service was available on our visit. There are two menus available with various Secret Garden cocktails. We tried the Sweet Melon Butterfly (a popular option) , a Kentucky mule, an old fashioned, and a Jamaizcal; all of which were beautifully presented and well poured. Despite the preset menu, they have a full bar with ample top shelf options and I'm certain they'd be able to make your favorite cocktail. The staff and bartenders were very friendly, they do have a few busboys as well. There's adequate seating and those ordering from the chef hall are welcome to eat their meals outside in the garden. The garden itself boasts string lights, a picturesque flower wall, and a flowing fountain. There are also fans in the trees to take the edge off of the heat. It's a beautiful spot!

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance- we went on a Saturday night around 11 PM and it was definitely happening. We got a drink from the mini bar because the line for the normal bar was insane, and paid $15 for a tiny vodka sprite. Would definitely recommend for a unique atmosphere though!

Yelp
Very pretty place , nice music service fast , drinks pretty darn good , will definitely come back

Yelp
I came on a Sunday afternoon for a nice chat. The scenery is flush with greenery and serene waters. The theme of the bar is appealing and aesthetically pleasing. This would have been a good experience, but there was a DJ blasting music about 5 feet away from our table. One of the workers eventually ask them to lower the volume. The other tables/areas were occupied so we had limited options. The cocktail menu is short and classic drinks. I avoided them and got a screwdriver. It was the fanciest screwdriver I've ever had, but not as strong, and I should have taken a picture to prove it. I'm not the target audience for this bar, but that shouldn't stop someone from visiting it at least once.

Yelp
Today was my first time visiting this place. A date took me here after dinner. I really enjoyed the outdoor patio seating and the atmosphere was really nice. I asked the bartender for rum and diet coke, but he informed me they don't carry diet coke here, only regular coke. I was a little bummed out but I just ended up ordering the Hibiscus Margarita off the menu. It was very refreshing. The concept of the chef hall was kinda cool, but the walk to the "secret garden" was very smelly. I understand that there's a lot of seafood bars surrounding it, but my date didn't really enjoy that. I plan on coming back here soon and bring along more friends!
google avatar

Pris T.

Yelp
Come here randomly when I stop by the Chef Hall. They have pretty good cocktails. Sometimes the line can get long at night. However, it is a great place to hangout during the day. It's very cute. They open at 4 pm. Recently, it looks they added flowers and a cute flower wall. Drinks are about $12-15. It's nice depending on the weather. To find it, go through the front door and walk all the way back to exit into the patio.
google avatar

Rochelle T.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere the decor is beautiful at night, and I bet it's just as beautiful during the day.
google avatar

Stephanie N.

Yelp
This has probably been my fifth time coming, once they opened, a few times in between and last night. I loved coming here because it was so peaceful, very beautiful, and The vibes were just very chill. Coming last night, it was extremely loud as if it was a club. They had a DJ there on a Sunday night. Not really my scene. I'm hoping that it isn't like this every time. Anyways, they continue to come up with different cocktail recipes with cute names. Every drink is beautifully presented and delicious as always. Bartenders are very nice and diligent. Don't think I'll be coming here again until covid dies down. Social distancing and masks, from guests are careless.
google avatar

Paola S.

Yelp
Love the concept since the first time I came in. It's basically a food court; many food sellers next to each other, you just order from one and take a table to sit. Nicely decorated. Nice music; not too loud to have a conversation but not the ideal place for q chit chat (so kinda noise. I had a burger from the Oyster place and it was delicious. Only complain is that they're were extremely tiny for $13, see the hand for comparison. But the taste was amazing.
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
I love this hidden little gem! Drinks can be a bit pricey though.
google avatar

Joe W.

Yelp
Stumbled into this quaint, tucked in beauty of an outdoor bar during $1 oyster night at Margaux's. Scenery is beautiful, sitting right in the middle of downtown.. so if you look up.. it's like looking out of the forest but seeing downtown huge scrapers all around you. Weird, but oddly satisfying lol. A bit small so don't come with 10 friends expecting to sit down but, nice greenhouse vibes nonetheless. Anyway.. there's a carefully curated cocktail menu of about 12 drinks. Tried 3 of them including the Vampiro and the Kentucky Mule which were tasty but lacked the alcoholic kick us drinkers need lol. Precision pouring is awful haha. Last thing, you can bring food from any of the vendors in the attached dining hall to your table since they do not serve food. Come take a look if you like exploring Houston. It's worth a night.
google avatar

Lauren W.

Yelp
Adorable spot in Bravery food hall. I didn't get a seat by the fan but their seating area cooled down quickly once the sun began to set. Really enjoyed the French Garden cocktail.
google avatar

Sapna L.

Yelp
All tables reserved for 200$ plus tips Snotty bartender Having the audacity to asking Patrons if they can pay for it ! Seriously? Ass@@@@ with that attitude ! No way!
google avatar

Yelp
Secret garden is outside bar located on main St in the midst of hustle and bustle of downtown nightlife. Hidden behind a 8 foot wall you'll find a courtyard style bar that's great for all of you that love something aesthetically pleasing for yourself and for social media. Service here is pretty decent, I've never had any bad vibes from any of the bartenders and the bouncers don't seem discriminatory in any way. The drink menu is pretty short compared to the usual cocktail bars but this place tries to be more upbeat and nights are filled with music if that's your taste. I say this bar caters more to the female audience due to its aesthetics and most drinks being very sweet especially when you take a look at their social media it's mostly filled with girls on their nights out. Not that it's a bad thing, if you're a guy it's still a nice place to sit back and enjoy your drink with the boys and enjoy the vibe. Overall, it's worth at least a visit especially when you're with a group or on a date. Don't see myself ever coming alone though.
google avatar

Darriane J.

Yelp
This bar is super cute & was a must when I visited Houston! I ordered the Rose Felici which was delicious! I also ordered the French Garden which was super delicious! The decor is so cute! Love the vibe here! Will def be back when I visit Houston!
google avatar

Amber W.

Yelp
Super cute spot with great drinks. I had a Manhattan. It was a really cold night when I went, which is rare. But I wish they had more heaters since it's all outdoors. Other than that, it's a perfect chill spot to grab a drink.
google avatar

Nicole F.

Yelp
It's definitely a little hidden quite lounge right in the hustle of H-towns DT life ! My friend & agreed to meet up for some cocktails since I'd been eyeing this place fora while now. The ambience is casual trendy, good vibes. Plenty of shad with the nearby building & trees. The cocktails are a little pricey, but they're worth it & if you want to order food, from the kitchen you have to order on line. The kitchen is not part of the secret garden. So basically if you want to have some unique, classy cocktails, in a pretty cool hidden area & a some good conversations & laughs ... this is the place to go!
google avatar

Evelyn L.

Yelp
Overhyped. For starters, the drinks were $13-15 which is too expensive for the drop of alcohol they put in your drink. The bar is cute; wish the seating are was larger.
google avatar

Cindy K.

Yelp
I'm fan of this bar since it's casual and in a great space outdoors of Bravery Chef Hall. Drinks: They have their signature cocktails from their soft opening menu. I French Garden which had gin, lavender, and topped with some champagne. It was a little bit on the tart side for me, but still refreshing. They have a full bar, so fee free to order drink. I would say it's on the mid to high tier price for cocktails, but I guess that's not surprising for a drink downtown. Service: It's a small bar, so theirs on 2-3 bartenders. The service for us was overall good. They got to us as quick as possible. Ambiance: I love this place! It feels like the bar is a greenhouse. There's limited patio seating around the bar area, but you can stand or walk around Bravery Chef Hall.
google avatar

Brittany H.

Yelp
First time visiting. New SPOT Alert Very modern yet greenery feel. This place is super chill and extremely diverse. The bar is connected with multiple bars. Three different bars. Traditional, Mix, and wine/spirits/sake.
google avatar

Paige L.

Yelp
This is a Houston hidden gem. They serve up tasty and cute cocktails! This hideaway garden is the perfect for summer time, No food served here but they are right next to the Bravery Chef Hall in downtown Houston.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow, what a quaint gorgeous outdoor garden that really did feel "secret" - tucked out the back side of Bravery Chef Hall. The custom glass greenhouse that houses the bar is so unique and beautifully decorated with flowers. Feels very European. Several bar seats are available and there are a decent amount of tables/chairs out on the patio as well. I came here with my fiancé around 8pm on Saturday evening - not too busy which was nice! Menu: currently there is a "soft opening menu." Not sure when the "official" menu comes out? -Coffee, per the Bravery Chef Hall website is served till 2pm: cafe de olla, espresso, cappuccino, latte. -Cocktails: Three of the specialty cocktail options are gin based, which speaks to me personally! Two others are coffee-based. They also serve classic cocktails and highballs - it would be nice for a future official menu to have these specifically listed. I ordered the Violeta cocktail - gin, German liquor, lime, lavender bitters (perfectly balanced!). My fiancé ordered the Rose Felici - gin, Switzerland floral liqueur, lemon, roses (also delicious)! Adding a few more specialty cocktails that differ from the gin/coffee based ones would be nice to vary it up a bit! Now that it's getting to be patio weather in Htown, can't wait to come back, order food from one of the 5 restaurant concepts inside Bravery Chef Hall, and take it outside to enjoy with a coffee or cocktail in this secret garden!
google avatar

Giuliana S.

Yelp
This little spot definitely has a "secret" vibe to it, since it is hard to find, and I love it. Their signature cocktails are some of the best I have ever tried, with French Garden being my top favorite (gin, lavender and champagne). The scenery is nice, and the music is good as well (sometimes they have DJs!), so I recommend this place for a late night drink.
google avatar

Kathleen L.

Yelp
An enjoyable atmosphere during the day, but at night they have a DJ going and the music is very loud and drunk women start grinding on everything around them. Why not leave an outdoor patio an outdoor patio and leave the club scene to the actual clubs? The drinks are fine but pricey. The service is always so damn slow. It's not uncommon to be waiting 10-15 minutes for a drink. I only come here if a friend wants to but otherwise I'd rather go elsewhere.
google avatar

Stanley S.

Yelp
I'm a fan of this place! Hidden inside the back of a food hall, this is a great place to relax and find inner peace. I've never had Greek coffee, but I didn't understand what's so Greek about it other than half of it being foam on top. I parked under one of tables with a red umbrella to do some work but there were coworkers grabbing lunch and friends just enjoying each others' company. The tiny birds were taking advantage of the water fountain in the middle by showering in it which was cool to see.
google avatar

Barbara P.

Yelp
Secret Garden was such a beautiful place. I loved the greenhouse that the actual bar is in. The decor is definitely instagram worthy and the drinks are both beautiful and delicious. I ordered the "sweet melon butterfly" It was the perfect summer drink. The coup glass and the addition of dried orange and lime slices really gave me all the bougie vibes I needed. Come here and take your drink with you into the food hall if the steamy Houston heat is too much.
google avatar

Roxy R.

Yelp
This place sucks. Especially the African American bartender. Yes this place is cute but he is getting too big headed. Taking his precious time.
google avatar

Thep T.

Yelp
Great little gem tucked behind the food court. Drinks were tasty and beautiful just like the space. Mixologist was super friendly
