I recently stayed at Bravo Resort for a week with my partner and two friends, and our experience was truly memorable.
The resort is beautifully set in a prime location—just off the main road into the centre of General Luna but tucked away enough to feel like its own private haven. It offers direct beach access, and all the rooms are nestled among lush greenery, connected by charming sandy pathways.
We stayed in a Garden Room, which offered complete privacy along with a small outdoor seating area. The room itself was impressively spacious, spread over two floors with a separate toilet, semi-outdoor shower, and large sink area. Everything was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Housekeeping came daily, leaving the room feeling fresh and new each time—a detail that, despite sounding obvious, is not always consistent in our travel experiences.
The hotel’s outdoor spaces are stunning, especially the area around the restaurant, which overlooks the beach. The pool is sublime, with ample sunbeds and even a smaller pool for children. It’s a place that invites both relaxation and socializing.
The restaurant was the highlight of our stay. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes to suit all tastes, each meal perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The quality of the food, combined with the open beachfront setting, created a truly relaxing holiday atmosphere. As a foodie, I particularly appreciated this aspect, and even had the pleasure of meeting one of the head chefs, who kindly offered us a sample of a new dish he was developing—a small but thoughtful gesture that speaks volumes about the hospitality here.
The staff were, excellent—friendly, attentive, and efficient. Reception communicated with us continuously via WhatsApp, not only to share hotel updates but even to inform us of external factors, such as nearby construction that could cause noise. This level of attention to detail was impressive.
We also booked lessons with Bravo Surf School, which turned out to be another highlight of our stay. The instructors were some of the best we’ve encountered on our travels, with an outstanding emphasis on safety and progression. After just one session, we felt noticeable improvement and ended up booking lessons daily. The hotel staff handled all the arrangements seamlessly, making the process stress-free.
The only significant drawback was the laundry service. Despite requesting that clothes not be tumble-dried, most items came back shrunk, and in a later batch, a pair of bikini bottoms was lost. While the staff were very apologetic and offered complimentary airport transfer and drinks as compensation, it did not fully offset the financial impact of replacing these items.
Despite this issue, our stay at Bravo Resort was outstanding. The combination of ideal location, beautiful facilities, excellent dining, and genuinely helpful staff made it a place we didn’t want to leave. It caters well to both families and groups of friends, striking a perfect balance between relaxation and activity.
We left with wonderful memories and are already looking forward to returning. A big thank you to the entire Bravo team for making our holiday so special.
