Excellent food. I was very impressed. I didn't feel rushed at all like some people have said. The goat cheese with olive tapanade was perfect. Even saved some for my lamb with was fall off the bone perfect. I asked to be sure there wasn't any extra fat to make it greasy and they made sure of that. Great prices. $50us per person

Google
I had Mahi filet special of day which was some of best I've had in the area. My companion had pork shank which was fall off bone delicious. Desserts are heavenly. Can't wait to tobacco again.

Google
The appetizers came within 5 minutes of ordering, which felt very rushed. The main course also was served within a few minutes after that we finished the appetizers, All in all we felt very rushed, The main courses were excellent, but the speed in which it all came was not something we expected from an upscale restaurant,

Wow! Top notch experience on an unassuming street. As you walk in, you are pleasantly surprised by the decor. Greeted immediately and with our table waiting as we had a reservation. Each team member is friendly and attentive. Your drink is always full and everyone steps in to serve, so each dish is served as soon as it is ready. Passion fruit margarita is out of this world! Each dish is delectable and exquisite. We will definitely visit every time we are in PV.

We just returned from 3 weeks in Puerto Vallarta and had the pleasure at dining at Bravos 4 times…. Yes, 4 times! With all the great restaurants in the area, Bravos is our favorite and always book our reservations as soon as we get into town. The food is exceptional, 5 stars! Whether is appetizers (got to try the Bang Bang Shrimp), main course (plenty of options) always cooked to perfection, or the desserts, I just can’t say enough. Michael and his team are second to none. Service is always great and everyone is so friendly. We enjoy dining there so much we had to introduce our friends to this dining experience and now have them hooked too. We took our grand daughters there and even though there is not a kid’s menu, Michael's team was able to accommodate their dining preferences. On another occasion one of our friends had dietary restrictions and their menu still allowed them to have several great meal options. We are looking forward to getting back to PV and dining at Bravos. Michael, thank you for the great dining experience…. BRAVO!

Google
Beautiful place and really great food! Our waiter was very attentive and welcoming. The traditional Carbonara is very tasty. 10/10 recommend!

Google
A very classy restaurant and a hidden gem. Food and service are top notch and portions for European stomachs are large but not a criticism. I had the Mongolian pork chop which was delicious and probably one of the best chops I've had and delicious Mexican coffee to finish, l just wish I had a bigger stomach. Thank you for a lovely evening and to the staff.

Google
Excellent service, atmosphere and food. The service staff were all very attentive and helpful. All of the entrees we had were delicious. I can’t say enough about how accommodating they were with me and my gluten intolerance.

Yelp
This is our go to spot to close out our time in Vallarta. Soft lighting, jazz playing in the background. A menu with all kinds of delicacies for your taste buds, duck breasts, rack of lamb, lasagna, excellent catch of the day items. Excellent top shelf cocktails and wine list.

Stephen A.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food and fantastic service. This is the restaurant to go to if you are in PV.

Bryan T.

Yelp
A lovely place with good food and good service. Four stars because just good; not great. And the menu could use a refresh and some innovation. Have been here countless times with different people over the years, and it's quite dependable. However, on our last visit, several entrees were only warm, the braised ribs were just overcooked pot roast, the steaks were overcooked, and the potatoes just tasted like warm raw garlic. Granted we were in a larger group, so that can always challenge a kitchen. The staff remains as sweet as ever, although at times we felt rushed. So we'll certainly return. But still keep other options open.

Diane C.

Yelp
Fancy and tasty! A creative menu, each person was happy with their choice, although the pork chop was the number one favorite. Black Mambo cocktail was an experience- with a unique flavor. The finishing affogato was perfect. Definitely recommend this restaurant

Brian B.

Yelp
If you are in a hurry, this is the place. The ambience is really nice. The food is high quality & nice preparation. BUT, if it's just the 2 of you, you will re rushed thru dinner in 35-40 minutes. Within 5 minutes of finishing our starters, the main course arrived. Then, as soon as one of us was finished with that, the waiter was trying to whisk her plate away. We were out of the restaurant in 45 minutes. Last year, we went here twice & it was great. Don't think we will return.

Pam F.

Yelp
Drinks no alcohol, ambience great, food mediocre. We left after appetizer and drink. Service good.

Brandi K.

Yelp
This is one of the most incredible restaurants in PV. The service is always spot on and many of the staff have worked here for years. The dining room is stunning with low light and romantic settings, air conditioned, and comfortable seating with lovely table settings. The food is delectable from the warm bread to the gooey desserts. Always a 5/5 experience and very affordable for local fine dining.

Tracey C.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here last night. We always make a plaint to book at lease one reservation when visiting PV. This morning we decided to book another before leaving. Delicious food, beautiful atmosphere, attentive and friendly service make this restaurant a perfect setting for an intimate dinner for 2 or raucous party of 8. Never disappoints.

Craig Y.

Yelp
What a fabulous experience. I definitely recommend this restaurant. I went on New Year's Eve. No reservation. They found me a seat. The food and the service was awesome. The bread and butter was great. They recommended a half bottle of wine which was great. I had a Caprese salad and then mahi-mahi over risotto. It was as good as any meal I have had anywhere. I will absolutely return.

Gary K.

Yelp
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service. Hit on all three. Here the day before Valentine's Day, by reservation only. Staff didn't miss a beat. Neither did the food. Great "special date" place!

Phylicia H.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious restaurant that is very international like the signs says. All indoor dining and the decor is very simple and homey. My family and I came here for Easter dinner and had a great experience. For appetizers, we ordered the calamari and bistro salad. The calamari was cooked to perfection and was not heavily breaded, which I loved. The dressing on the salad was very refreshing and just what we all needed. For entrees, we ordered the famous braised short rib, Cajun spicy jambalaya and carbonara pasta. Everything was outstanding, but the only dish that was just okay was the jambalaya. It was very spicy so if you love heat that is a great dish to order. The pasta came with a generous amount of bacon and was so creamy and delicious. Short rib was pull apart tender. Wish it came with a tad bit more sauce but absolutely delicious and would recommend. For dessert, we each ordered our own. Portions were enormous that we had to get it all to go. Ordered the churros, ginger coconut flan, carrot cake and cinnamon bun. Churros was the winner for me! For drinks, we ordered the margarita bravos and Cadillac which did not disappoint. Highly recommend coming here for a great dinner.

Shelby C.

Yelp
As usual Bravos has exceeded our expectations. Our meals have always been spectacular. We started out with the coconut martini (had them brought in from Siam next door), aricini, fried barrata, onion soup. All appetizers were excellent. Lasagna and chicken fried steak was delicious. Two of us had the creamy chicken and the linguine and sauce was delicious but the chicken was a bit tough and dry. Short ribs were on point. Service is always 10/10. Make reservations as it fills up quickly!

Yelp
This restaurant has the best chicken piccata I have ever had in my 40 years of eating solid food. I was blown away. We live in San Diego and have eaten at many restaurants. We have traveled to many cities, states, and countries, and here, in Puerto Vallarta, I at last found it. The perfect chicken piccata. I usually do not like gnocchi, but it soaked in all the flavor and I savored each bite. It was perfect. At first I thought it didn't have enough capers, but I was wrong. It was 100% perfect. We came for restaurant week with our 2 kids. The capresse salad was beautiful and the kindly accommodated my incredibly picky 4 year old. My husband got the seared tuna and not only was it beautiful, it was melt in your mouth. He had to guard his plate from my 7 year old! I love this restaurant. Michael was so nice and told me if I emailed him, he would send me the recipe! How sweet of him! Eat here! You won't regret it!

Russ H.

Yelp
I am going to keep this simple. Bravos is, and has been, one of the best restaurants in PVR. We have been many times, going twice each time we are in town. We have never been disappointed. Service, food, ambiance, even location are first rate. It is not cheap, but I have NEVER complained about anything. If you go to PVR, do yourself a favor and go - you won't regret it!

JL H.

Yelp
We were recommended bravo by multiple people, so we decided to try it out. Unfortunately, our experience was pretty mediocre. Maybe because of the specific dishes we ordered. We tried the sausage ravioli, salmon with garlic mashed potatoes, and churros for dessert. Churrros were not cooked through and were doughy. The Salmon had a very fishy taste, and veggies were not cooked all the way through. The ravioli was cooked very al dente and was quite chewy in some parts. The Marinara was good, but it wasn't good enough to fix the dish Service was great, which is why this gets two instead of one star.

Diana G.

Yelp
AMAZING service & DELICIOUS food! My son and I are GF. They modified the chicken parm for my son with a grilled chicken and brought him a marinara and Alfredo sauce. They use gluten free barilla penne. I had the gf braised short ribs! I've been craving them for quite some time and haven't been able to find them Gf. Never thought I'd get them in puerto Vallarta Mexico! While I don't eat seafood, everyone else in my family does, so my son was super excited that they had gf calamari! The others in my family enjoyed lamb shank, chicken parm, wedge salad, clam chowder, and shrimp & asparagus risotto. To drink we enjoyed manhattans, Sauvignon blanc, lemon drops, Fresca, and virgin piña coladas. I wish they had more gf dessert options, but we shared vanilla ice cream, lime sorbet & berry sorbet. The gluten eaters enjoyed the churro bucket for dessert and bread basket to start with. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly!! I should've taken pics but we ate too fast!

David G.

Yelp
Overall the food wasn't as good as expected. There were three of us. Only one person loved their rack of lamb.

Darin E.

Yelp
Oh boy, where do I start? Wife and I come to PV frequently but we just tonight discovered this place. Obscure space on an obscure street, but what a gem! Everything from the appetizer, bang bang shrimp, to the bread, wine, margaritas, main courses and deserts was exceptional. I had the delicious jambalaya, and my wife had the chicken and mushrooms in cream sauce over linguini. For desert, we had red velvet cake and a couple of Mexican coffees, fantastic. To top it all off, the service was exceptional. We were served by Manuel and Aldo, both were top notch!! We are total foodies and love discovering new places. This place has it all, very highly recommended!

Yelp
After a memorable meal in 2018, a repeat was high on our dining list for 2019. MENU: Salads, soup, steak, duck, ribs, pork, poultry, lamb, risotto, pasta, fish, shrimp, desserts. FOOD: Soup of the Day - $5.75 USD Cream of zucchini was the SOTD. The trio of creamy, sweet and savory flavors married well but the soup could've been a lot hotter in temperature. The Wedge - $7.00 USD My spouse loves this easy-to-make salad and orders it everywhere we go! Wash, chop, pour, serve... $7 please. Anyway, the half head of lettuce was fresh and came with a creamy blue cheese dressing. Sprinkled to the sides were fresh tomatoes and crunchy bacon bits. Shrimp and Asparagus Risotto - $14.50 USD As taught to me by my friend, the term "oral orgasmic" fits the dish perfectly. After having just a spoonful off of my spouse's dish last year, I wanted an entire plate to myself! Piping hot and creamy risotto and crunchy shrimp equals heavenly moaning. Baked Cheese Cappelletti - $9.50 USD Cappelletti look like little dumplings. They were stuffed with three types of cheese (ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan) and finished in a pink sauce. We added chicken strips for protein (+$3.75). Very good dish but no wow-factor. DESSERT: My spouse wasn't feeling well so we unfortunately had to leave and skip their amazing Churro Basket. Next time! SERVICE: We were immediately greeted and seated. Our server was terrific! TIP: Reservations aren't really needed regardless of what the website states. Prior to arriving in PV, we made advanced reservations as their calendar was showing sold-out dates. One thing led to another and we weren't able to keep our reservation. The next night, we walked in to lots of empty seats and got right in. OVERALL: So far, PV's best Italian food, hands down. Definitely deserving of 5 shiny stars!

Chuck F.

Yelp
Every time we eat at Bravos we are greeted with a warm welcome - the staff is efficient, accommodating, and seriously on point. Michael, the owner, is just a genuinely nice guy, and the food? Pure deliciousness. If Italian is on your mind, Bravos is the place to be. It's not a suggestion; it's a tasty imperative.

Albert F.

Yelp
This is one of the gems in Puerto Vallarta! Fantastic food, wonderful staff, and a varied menu that should satisfy everyone. My last meal was the Mongolian Pork Chop with a Bistro salad. It was all done to perfection. Tonight I'm going to try their ribs because I'm in the mood for barbecue. I'm also going to order the Bistro salad again because it is so fresh. Go and enjoy yourself!

Paula M.

Yelp
Exceptional dining experience. Great ambience...lively without been noisy, beautiful, contemporary decor that was both sophisticated and comfortable, service was professional and friendly and the food was amazing. I had the filet mignon that was melt-in-your mouth tender served with perfectly cooked vegetable. My husband had their delicious Chicken breast with thyme sauce, goat cheese and pine nuts. Another winner! Try to save room for their decadent brownie with vanilla ice cream. An all around 5 star experience!

Dwayne G.

Yelp
We walked in off the street and they seated us right away. The servers were amazing, always watching the table but not being to pushy. The food was amazing, the prices were great too.

R. C.

Yelp
Great food and reasonable prices. Best meatloaf I've ever had....Very unique the way they prepare it. Also, the menu options were very plentiful and great service. Looking forward to returning here.

Steve D.

Yelp
Party of six, probably at least one picky b*tch in the group. Came here on the recommendation of a friend. I had the fried meatloaf (also recommended by said friend), and it was just ok. Apps were all great though. The other five in our party raved about how good their entrees were. My friend was shocked I didn't care for the fried meatloaf, he said it was his favorite. But we'll definitely be back and I'd probably try the meatloaf again, so many people said its one of the best things on the menu, so maybe it was just an off night. But it's a great space, attentive and friendly staff, drinks were on point, so overall a really great place!

Matthew G.

Yelp
This was the second time we came back to Bravos. Once on our vacation two years ago, and once tonight, our last day before going home. This place does not disappoint. Brought three friends that we met this week, and everyone had the best things to say about the food, staff and calming atmosphere! For appetizer, we got the calamari and fried burrata. Calamari was so fresh and probably the best I've had. Fried Burrata was amazing! I got the Shrimp and Asparagus Risotto, which was simply amazing. My husband got the filet mignon with melted in your mouth. HIGHLY recommend going to Bravos during your visit!

Trey W.

Yelp
This is the perfect restaurant in Puerto Vallarta to get a fabulous dinner!!! Started with a Cesar salad that perfect. Then ordered the lamb shank and grilled tuna. Both were prepared as described and delicious. Wait staff was attentive. You won't be disappointed with the food or service. Make a reservation too.

Mike D.

Yelp
Wow! The lasagna is made with béchamel instead of ricotta, and it's the best I've had since having a similar lasagna in Tuscany. The bruschetta was the most flavorful, freshest I've had in my life. It's ruined me! The carbonara, superb. The crab cakes were crabby and the sauce tangy. Even the burrata caprese stood out from the norm with fresh, flavorful tomatoes. This is clearly a place that goes the extra mile to make the food really special, and I am living for it. Also reasonably priced for what it is. My new fav in PV by a mile!

ray m.

Yelp
by far and near, the best restaurant in Puerto Vallarta's Zona Romantica. Alaways welcoming, and top notch staff.

Amy S.

Yelp
Walked in without a reservation and even though crowded, we got a table within 5 minutes. I got the coconut shrimp and my husband got the salmon. Both were excellent. The service was excellent. I really cannot say anything negative about the whole experience. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who hasn't tried it before. We didn't try the wine or desserts so I cannot do a full review. Overall this is a great place!

Michael D.

Yelp
Simply the BEST service and food for the money in Old Town. Michael is the consummate host.

Mariah B.

Yelp
The best meal we've ever had! We got that bruschetta, the mussels and the shrimp as appetizers. For our entrees we got the braised short rib and the creamy chicken. Hands down the best meal we've ever had. Will definitely go back here every time we visit PV!

Jay X.

Yelp
Very nice service, food was all very good, except the risotto wasn't that good. Will be back soon to try more dishes.

Cubby R.

Yelp
Nice upholstered comfortable chairs. Calamari as a shared appetizer was amazing. He got the spicy chicken chorizo pasta, I got the chicken parm. Both were filling and both were excellent. I recommend this place, very friendly, menu knowledgeable, affordable, and tasty. Credit card accepted. Waiters spoke english. (2 wines, water, app. 2 entrees about a 1000 pesos) plus gratuity. Call for reservations.

Kathy C.

Yelp
We have been here many times Service and food are always spectacular. Sorry the churro basket is gone but aside from that this is our go to place. One of the most relaxing restaurants in Puerto vallarta

Joseph C.

Yelp
Quiet spot, off the beaten path. Great service.. better food. Asparagus and shrimp risotto.. yum.

Steve A.

Yelp
We've been coming to PV for 8 years now. The restaurant had an elegant decor & we were hopeful since this was a new restaurant for us. But that's where it stopped. The service was poor. 2 of the 4 of us had water to drink and we had to continually stop someone to ask for refills. Our waiter would walk past & never made eye contact. My wife ordered the short-ribs. She couldn't finish it, it was so dry. If it had more sauce she would have attempted to eat it. No one ever stopped by to ask how the food was. I wanted fish but mushroom risotto paired with fish did not sound good so I tried something new, I had the fried meatloaf. The owner actually recommended it. I ate my fries which were good (although I would have preferred some dipping sauce with it) I kept hoping the waiter would come by so I could send it back but it was late and I was hungry. I ate it. It was horrible. The owner never bothered to stop by and ask how I liked his recommendation. I normally don't leave negative reviews but if he didn't care about me... The best thing we tasted was the soup it was amazing. Although we would have wanted desert we couldn't trust that it too would be overcooked and dry so we left. We won't come back next year.

Bill M.

Yelp
We dined here for our wedding anniversary. We mentioned it when making reservations, and they seated us at a wonderful table by the front window. That was a nice touch. Dining anywhere in PV in summer you tend to seek out places with air conditioning, and Bravos has it! Our food ranged from very good to excellent. The menu offers something for just about every mood or taste. This is a dressy casual spot, and the service is professional and unobtrusive. We were very happy we chose to celebrate our special day at Bravos.

Deirdra C.

Yelp
I used a credit card to pay for my meal Including the tip. The restaurant charged me an additional $10 to my card Which is NOT reflected on the receipt. I was not aware of any service charges.

Denise L.

Yelp
This is an excellent choice for dinner. Service was wonderful and friendly and nice atmosphere. All entrées and starters are fairly priced and I'm sure everything taste excellent. We split a Caesar salad. I had the gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce (they were so sweet to make that special for me) and my mom had gnocchi with spinach and mushrooms in a mascarpone cream sauce that was delicious. You will love the food here so enjoy!!!

Doug H.

Yelp
Eh. Everything about this place was "eh". I ordered the seared tuna that was stringy and flavorless. Even after sending back, it came out again more well done but still chewy and ended up not even finishing my meal. Decor was dated and unappealing. I will say the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating!

Sean C.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our dinner here last night. The service was top notch and the food was awesome. We shared a perfect Cesar salad, I had a tasty pork chop served with garlic mashed potatoes, my wife enjoyed her short ribs, we washed it all down with a 1/2 bottle of wine Our dinner came out to 900 pesos (less than $50 US) with tip I would definitely eat here again

Amy R.

Yelp
Visited in October, but just getting my Yelp game on.... Took a large group (10-12) to Bravos, and the owner was wonderful about dealing with the couple of people in my group who were a bit 'over-partied' and a bit annoying. He even moved tables around when extra people decided to show up who had previously declined my invitation to dinner there. I had the lamb and gnocchi and it was awesome. A shrimp appetizer was also very good. Only a couple of us enjoyed some wine (as some of the others already had way too much to drink during the day), but I really enjoyed the Chardonnay. A couple people who had the steak were not super into it, but I gave them some of my lamb and it was undeniable how amazing and tender it was. I will definitely be back when it is just my husband and I. Travelling in a large group and making any kind of dinner plans is always difficult.

John F.

Yelp
What a wonderful treat my wife and I had to go to this fantastic restaurant in PV this week. The food is fresh, we had garlic shrimp, fresh Mahi, and a great dessert. Also, the Cadillac Margarita was stellar! Safe and very COVID aware. Get very comfortable - enjoy!

Dorothy M.

Yelp
This restaurant is phenomenal!!! The service here is OUTSTANDING! They are very attentive, accommodating and full of energy! The food here is DELICIOUS! We had a party of 8. Started off with Cesar salads and the French onion soup! DO BOTH!! You want regret it! Next we all ordered different entree's from the creamy chicken, the beef short ribs, the duck, and other pasta dishes! Everyone left an empty plate! TRUST ME IF YOU WANT GREAT ITALIAN FOOD STOP HERE!!! We will be back! I'm telling everyone about this place if I know they are coming to PVR. Oh and the wine selections are pretty great too!!

Jim C.

Yelp
Exquisitely prepared food, generous and helpful service, and the diverse and exciting menu. Without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Puerto Vallarta.

Rick M.

Yelp
My favorite upscale restaurant in Puerto Vallarta! Outstanding food, excellent and personable staff, and reasonable prices for the overall product. Love their reservation policy. You can actually expect to be seated at the time of your reservation. Michael does an amazing job insuring each aspect of your experience is exceptional. Highly recommended.

Howard F.

Yelp
Bravos would hold its own in NY or LA. It probably wouldn't be a 5-star restaurant in those cities, but it would be 4. Maybe more. There's not much room for improvement over the meal we had there. We told them how much we loved the cucumber-jalapeno martini at Cafe D'Artiste. So they made us custom cucumber margaritas with a spicy kick. They were quite good. The bread basket is out of this world. If you're trying to keep the carb count low tell them not to bring it. All the types of bread and rolls were just divine, as was the chipotle butter. Caprese was very good. I've had tastier tomatoes and cheese but this was still fine. The shrimp bisque, a special that night, was as good as you'll get. The red snapper over fettuccine was excellent. If I had to pick a nit I'd say the pasta was a touch overcooked. The braised lamb shank was absolutely delicious as were all the accompaniments: gnocchi, garlic mashed, and perfectly cooked mixed veg. Desserts were amazing. It was my birthday and they brought some ice cream over the most incredibly cinnamon roll. The texture of the roll was like nothing I've ever have-the crispiest paper thin crust over a yeasty, chewy and light interior. Now, drum roll........all in the meal was 1,300 pesos. That would be for four of the margaritas and all the food described. $70. We're used to PV prices which are always a treat for us gringos but this was shocking. This meal would be 3x that price in DC or NY. And you'd be happy. Cafe D'Atiste, with comparable food, is 3x the price. Le Klif, with about the same food, is 2x the price. This is the best fine dining value on this planet. Maybe in the universe.

Nicole M.

Yelp
This was really just so-so, and I don't know what the rave reviews are all about. First up: mussels in wine and chilis. Way too acidic, and ruined the butter taste of the mussels. Mac and cheese with bacon, meh. Caprese salad came with...pesto sauce...instead of basil. It was odd. Salmon wrapped in prosciutto was good, but served with steamed veggies the way it was done in the 80's. Wild bore bolognese was good and super heavy. Shrimp and asparagus risotto was gummy and salty. And with so many cherry tomatoes it should have been called shrimp and tomatoes risotto. The only thing that met expectations was the churro "bowl ice cream dessert. Terrific. The service was very good, very organized, with lots of staff. Seemed like lots of retiree regulars rolled in this night.
