Yelp
After a memorable meal in 2018, a repeat was high on our dining list for 2019.
MENU:
Salads, soup, steak, duck, ribs, pork, poultry, lamb, risotto, pasta, fish, shrimp, desserts.
FOOD:
Soup of the Day - $5.75 USD
Cream of zucchini was the SOTD. The trio of creamy, sweet and savory flavors married well but the soup could've been a lot hotter in temperature.
The Wedge - $7.00 USD
My spouse loves this easy-to-make salad and orders it everywhere we go! Wash, chop, pour, serve... $7 please. Anyway, the half head of lettuce was fresh and came with a creamy blue cheese dressing. Sprinkled to the sides were fresh tomatoes and crunchy bacon bits.
Shrimp and Asparagus Risotto - $14.50 USD
As taught to me by my friend, the term "oral orgasmic" fits the dish perfectly. After having just a spoonful off of my spouse's dish last year, I wanted an entire plate to myself! Piping hot and creamy risotto and crunchy shrimp equals heavenly moaning.
Baked Cheese Cappelletti - $9.50 USD
Cappelletti look like little dumplings. They were stuffed with three types of cheese (ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan) and finished in a pink sauce. We added chicken strips for protein (+$3.75). Very good dish but no wow-factor.
DESSERT:
My spouse wasn't feeling well so we unfortunately had to leave and skip their amazing Churro Basket. Next time!
SERVICE:
We were immediately greeted and seated. Our server was terrific!
TIP:
Reservations aren't really needed regardless of what the website states. Prior to arriving in PV, we made advanced reservations as their calendar was showing sold-out dates. One thing led to another and we weren't able to keep our reservation. The next night, we walked in to lots of empty seats and got right in.
OVERALL:
So far, PV's best Italian food, hands down. Definitely deserving of 5 shiny stars!
