We visited Bread & Chocolate for brunch, and it honestly turned out to be one of our favorite food experiences. The food was absolutely delicious from their freshly baked bread to the sandwiches and pastries, everything was full of flavor and perfectly made. You can really tell the quality in every bite! The ambience was calm, cozy, and inviting, making it such a nice spot to relax and spend time. The place has a beautiful, easy-going vibe perfect for good conversations and great food. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. It did get a bit crowded during peak time, but honestly, it’s totally worth the wait. The overall vibe, food quality, and service make this place stand out. If you’re ever around, Bread & Chocolate is definitely a must-visit especially for brunch lovers like me! ☕🥐

Avocado toast topped with pomegranate, shakshuka on sourdough, and their signature chocolate smoothie that tastes as good as it looks. Everything here feels intentional, calm, unhurried, and quietly indulgent. A place where time slows down just enough for you to notice the taste, the texture, and the moment.

Bread & Chocolate near Auroville is an absolute gem! The food is exceptional – from freshly baked breads to delicious sandwiches and pastries, everything tastes amazing. The ambience is chill and welcoming, making it a great spot to sit back and spend some time. The staff are friendly and provide great service, which makes the experience even better. It does get quite crowded during peak hours, but honestly, it’s worth the wait. Another plus is that there’s ample roadside parking. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in or around Auroville!

Bread & Chocolate is a popular breakfast and brunch spot on the way to Auroville. The menu is quite large with many interesting options, but I could only try a couple of dishes since I was short on time. We ordered two items — Green Thumb and Simply X. Simply Eggs: This dish offers a choice between two poached or scrambled eggs. I went with scrambled eggs, which were served with two slices of sourdough bread and extra virgin olive oil. Personally, I’m not a fan of sourbread, so I didn’t enjoy it much, though I could tell it was well made. Green Thumb: I highly recommend this one! The freshness of the ingredients really stood out. It mainly had simple items like cucumber, tomato, and a few other veggies, but the pickled carrots on the side were the star — full of flavor and perfectly balanced. This is a must-try dish for everyone. Service & Management: The management needs improvement. There was only one person handling billing, and no one was managing the crowd or seating properly. They do use a number system to keep track of customers, but it still felt quite chaotic. Having a few staff members to organize the flow of people would really help. Ambience: The ambience is very basic. There’s a small indoor area and just a couple of chairs outside. Nothing special about the setup — it’s simple and functional but not a place you’d visit for the vibe. Overall: Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (Green Thumb is excellent!) Service: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ Ambience: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

The aesthetic is clean and earthy, with lots of natural light and minimalistic decor. Yes, it can get a little crowded during peak hours, but that’s just a sign of how popular (and worth it!) this place is. Woww! Me and my partner just finished a hearty healthy breakfast and we are speechless how the food was presented with such care and tastes incredible good. One must definitely try the veggie roast sandwich here.

All those reviews about it being a must visit cafe in Pondy, are not wrong. Just 3 important things to sum up our experience - - Great fresh food - Value for money - No Regrets For a guy who doesn’t eat Mushroom, I savoured every bite of “The breakfast wrap”. What a wonderful crunch when you bite into their bread when you take on their sandwiches. The crunch sound itself was heavenly. What amazing freshness in their Lime mint cooler. I am already drooling, reliving those memories in my head. Such high was the proclivity to massage my gastronomical taste buds that I was ready to sit there for some more time to digest that and have another portion. But since there are limited tables inside and early lunch crowd was gathering, I decided to let others enjoy the gastronomical overload they had to offer. Our experience with their offerings originally started in Chennai. We have always been a crazy fan of their “Lite and Brite bowl”, but alas that is no longer available in Chennai and it wasn’t available at this outlet either. But this outlet was even more better and the food felt extra heavenly than the one they had in Chennai.
