Rising above: 8 artisanal bakeries in Singapore to try - SilverKris

"A bakery that supports a hearty brunch menu with freshly baked breads and croissants made using French Normandy butter to keep them flaky. Bakes are produced in small batches with traditional European techniques and include brioche, pain au chocolat, multigrain loaves, tarts and both sweet and savoury pies." - Joyce Chua and Sanjay Surana

Bread & Hearth ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stopped by for breakfast and ordered the Avoca Toast ($20.50) — customizable with your choice of protein, egg style, and side salad. The food was fresh and satisfying, and my Piccolo Latte was equally good. The café maintains its signature rustic European charm, with warm wood tones and the aroma of freshly baked bread filling the space. While prices lean on the higher side for brunch, the quality and craftsmanship justify the splurge. A solid spot for a slow morning — authentic flavors, cozy setting, and consistently well-made food make Bread & Hearth a dependable choice for café lovers in Singapore.

Croque monsiuer really good. It is not original recipe, but its damn good sandwich for brunch. I can come back only for croque monsiouer. Addicted they put sauted onion inside the sandwich. Pretty smart recipe. The coffe, not my type. Good food

The tiramisu cake needs improvement. Too much cream, couldn't taste the rum. Matcha has too much oat milk, lacking in grassy taste. Coffee is alright.

The scent of nice, strong coffee attracted me to the place and the cappuccino did not fail me. The almond croissant was topped generously with almond and there was almond cream in the middle. I love the atmosphere, and will be back to try the mains one day.

Tried the Cinnabon here - one of their bestsellers! Warm, homely, comforting & topped with a super tasty cream cheese frosting 🤍 Highly recommend! ✨🍥

We had not eaten here for a couple of years as we stopped coming for a massage after the salon closed. The wife wanted coffee so we popped in here. Ordering and paying are via a QR code, which was quick and convenient. But the size of the macchiato seemed especially small for $4.50 ( add $1.20 for oat milk) and the coffee was bitter and acidic.

Was very dissapointed because the food first came 1 hour later even though there was no one else sitting here. When we asked when we would get the food, the staff was rude. Even after the food came after an hour, it was burned. All 4 of our waffles…. Thought it was chocolate waffles but turns out it’s just burnt. No wonder it came after so long. It felt like i was sawing wood because why was it so hard to cut it. And it was not even tasty, I had to leave food behind because of how bad it was. And at the end, I found hair in my food. I do not recommend. Food was not good, staff weren’t friendly and overall just such a bad experience here.

Food came AN HOUR after we ordered, saw the staff loitering around behind with no care to actually make the food. We ordered 4 plates of waffles - ALL FOUR were burnt! The roof of my mouth is scratched. Tofu salad was just leaves. Incredibly lousy staff and food.
