"Despite their love of all things biltong , South Africans rarely practice the art of charcuterie, which makes Neil Jewell’s efforts at Bread & Wine not only unique but utterly compelling. He and his wife, Tina, opened their restaurant at Môreson wine farm several years ago with a commitment to crafting the perfect sausage, from bresaola to salami and saucisson. Ever since, Bread & Wine has served as a pilgrimage spot for anyone who likes their meat well cured. Come for a tasting and Jewell will show you inside his giant charcuterie larder, which is home to several ongoing experiments, then stay for a breadmaking lesson or workshop with Tina. As a couple, the two are loads of fun, so give them a visit and prepare for a delicious afternoon."
A fantastic stop when visiting all the wine farms in Franschhoek, the restaurant serve gourmet meals. We did not attend the wine tasting as we were too full after eating so much food. The breads were amazing and I had lamb shoulder.

Amazing lunchtime oasis!
These guys are a hidden treasure just outside of Franschhoek, beautiful gardens, shaded terraces and incredible food and wine. We went on a lunchtime with our son who is just 2 and a half and had a lovely time, they even put up with us asking to say hi to the chef, my son loves cooking, pots and stirring and the chef was really lovely and sent us a chocolate ice-cream. My son was so happy!
The food was excellent and the wine was great they even offered me a pairing wine to go with my lunch (beef) as a taster against what I ordered.
Anyway in summary we will be back, it's kid friendly staff are lovely and we had a lovely time. Thanks!

This was my second visit to Bread and Wine and I loved visiting out of season as it was quieter. I caught the tail end of the winter menu I think and the 2 courses I had were delicious. Staff were attentive without being annoying. The Widow Maker pinotage well worth a try and make sure to have the pesto if they have it...delicious. I had the trout starter and duck main course. Yummy.

Nice lunch at Bread and Wine. Our server was amazing. Menu is small, but the food was all quite good. Small little play area for kids.

Just the most beautiful place in the world! We come here every year when we are on holiday in South Africa and have never been disappointed. Gorgeous charcuterie and cheese platter and a bottle of Miss Molly Kitchen Thief Sauvignon Blanc - perfect way to spend a lazy lunchtime

This was the first of three vineyards we visited as part of our wine tasting tour. Very pretty gardens and lovely place to sit and try the wines.
