"Local restaurateur Hide Sakurai—also the force behind Shokudo next door—brings healthy grab-and-go options to the heart of Honolulu’s Ala Moana, the state's largest shopping center. An artisan café and pinot wine bar, Bread & Butter seats around 50 and serves three meals a day. Argentine chef Arnaldo "Masa" Gushiken adds hints of Spanish and Japanese cuisine to the otherwise very locavore American menu. Highlights include the beet-peach-arugula salad and the house-smoked-ahi sandwich, balanced by the bright crunch of pickled vegetables in its side salad. Regulars also rave about the single servings of paella, the bell-pepper-goat-cheese dip, and the decadent truffle chicken starring an entire game hen."

Nice decor, friendly staff, great food. They have a nice variety on their menu. The fruity pebble pancakes were amazing! I will definitely be coming back to try more.

ÌCame back to this place for the paella and wine Tuesdays. It's all u can eat paella with a glass of wine for $20. First off their paella hardly had any meat and the waitresses only give u a piece of meat on the plate and so much rice which makes the price not worth eating. The ad made it looked like it was worth the price but actually going there I was pretty disappointed. You can count how many shrimp was on the plate. Great concept but the restaurant can't be cheap on the meat on paella. Usually paella is covered with meat on top and can hardly see the rice. Place is nice but they need to upgrade the deal.

Love this place. They make my favorite vanilla macadamia nut coffee.. very consistent. They have a very limited menu but it's a nice little place to meet friends.

Huge fan - the staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and the food is to die for: I absolutely adore the fruity pebbles pancakes, which effectively blend sweet cereal and “awesome sauce” with hearty pancakes. The mimosas, served 8-3 every day, are the perfect complement to the delightful breakfast foods. I particularly like the lychee boba (small juice-filled spheres, like the gushers fruit snacks) as it added an explosion of gaudy flavor to the otherwise understated champagne. My wife and I will come here again and again!

I went there during the Pac-Man collaboration event. Dishes from the regular menu were more than adequate. It was the event-related dishes that were a bit on the smaller side. Service was prompt and courteous.

Delicious drip coffee and pork belly Benedict! Also Island Style Breakfast and lobster roll - both very good.

Fast service and great food. I purposely went here because they had a lobster roll on the menu. My wife and I ate here for lunch and we were sat right away and our drinks came out quickly, so did our food. I got the lobster roll. It was great and a reasonable price. I personally thought this portion was much more generous than others I have had. My wife got a breakfast dish and she also like it. It is off the beaten path a little ways but for us it was worth the walk.
