Bread Milk and Honey

Yesterday I took a little road trip to Somerset West… straight to my happy place...Bread Milk & Honey at Vredenhof Organic Estate 💚 You know I’d sell my life for cheesecake and theirs is honestly worth every crumb! The menu is pure temptation: buttery scones, rich coffee, and a homemade chicken pie wrapped in butter pastry (because shortcuts are for amateurs 😋). Add some cute farm friends 🐔🐑🐄, fresh air, and a wishing well to make a wish at. The gardens were absolutely beautiful, offering a peaceful and charming atmosphere throughout the visit. The food was truly delightful. The chicken pie from Bread Milk and Honey has quickly become one of my new favourites, featuring rich flavours and perfect comfort. The organic vegetable salads were equally impressive, fresh and vibrant with every bite. This experience felt both wholesome and indulgent, and I look forward to returning very soon.

We were introduced to cinnamon and raisin bagels in North Carolina, but couldn't find any once back in South Africa. So I searched and found Lara from Bread Milk and Honey. Oh my word, what a treat! I ordered, and we collected. It was brought to our car by Lara herself, hot out of the oven. There was no way we could resist, and once we could hold one we shared it up in the car between myself, hubby and mom. We all agreed that it was delicious. I will definitely order again, even though it means travelling from Stellenbosch to get the good stuff. Unfortunately, I did not take a photo. Next time Lara.

Enjoyed a lovely cappuccino here this morning. Such beautiful and tranquil surroundings as well as excellent, friendly service. Will be visiting again soon to enjoy one of their delectable looking sweet treats and to check out the organic produce store.

So Bad!!!! We booked a table for 20 people well in advance for lunch yesterday. Everyone had a bad experience. We were the only people there. Orders were taken and food which took forever came out 2 or 3 plates at a time, once those people had started and then finished eating then the next 2 or 3 plates came out and the same process went on like this until the very last person got their food. It was unbelievable how bad this was, I have never experienced such bad service like this. The manager did not once come and apologise for the the bad service. You will never see any of us in there again. Such a pity because it is a really nice position.

Nice space where you can witness Cape Town waking up with all the people starting their day before work there. Decent coffee and a good variety of breakfast options on the menu. Staff is nice but the service could be improved especially in terms of time.

Average food, or should I say below average quality. I ordered an omelette, and it had no seasoning. Nothing! It's just a plain tasteless omelette. Cappuccino is also tasteless. Don't be fooled by the fancy interior.

Yesterday i stumbled across this place in the middle of Cape Town...What beautifil service my son and i received while having breakfast there.I had the oats and my son the lovely full breakfast...Presentation on point and everything so delicious...My coffee,made by the friendly barista Russia was the best...The staff was amazing...🤗They had so many regulars coming in i observed, and everyone was just happy to be served there...Well Done management...You have a great team👏It will not be my last...🙏
